I think this one is too entrenched to change, especially since subpages like Order Of The Stick Jossed and Kingdom Hearts Jossed are starting to crop up. It has also migrated off tvtropes (assuming it started here), as a Google search
shows.
EDIT: Speaking as someone not in the Joss Whedon fandom, so no myopia here, I hope.

Agreed.
"Too entrenched to change" is not a valid reason to keep a name. Moral Event Horizon had several times that many when it was changed from Rape The Dog.

It is a good enough reason if not being misused. See also: Xanatos Gambit, Narm.
Don't get me wrong, if any of those, including Jossed, were proposed today as trope names, I'd fight them like a 30-year old in his mother's basement arguing Gobots vs. Transformers. Sometimes, however, despite what logically should be a terrible name, it takes off and becomes a neologism.

Indeed. When I first saw that I couldn't even tell it was based on Joss Whedon. It is so widely used on 
nowadays that I thought it was a proper verb.
Not only is Jossed a fandom-specific term, it's one with multiple meanings within the fanbase, only one of which relates to the page topic. The alternate title Disproven By Canon is good; I'd like to also suggest Canonballed and The Crap Hits The Fanon as possibilities.
