And it's snowing here in the Twin Cities. The flakes are melting on contact, but still...
It was pushing seventy here in NH. I got to wear shorts for the first time in close to six months and it was just amazing as a whole.
It's been gloriously sunny all week (a miracle for the north of England) and it's glorious again today, but yesterday, the one day where I wasn't stuck inside, it was absolutely pelting it down. I walked to the shops and nearly drowned.
"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost."It's been raining a lot recently. Two of the last three weeks have been frequent thunderstorms and rain.
I can't complain much about the El Niño pattern going on. Keeps the fire danger away.
Oh yeah, and we had a tornado today! Wheee!!!
Oh the joys of being part of tornado alley.
Lots of thunderstorms here to. The downpour yesterday was pretty intense. Partially flooded the streets during the night but the drain system eventually caught up. It is looking like more for us here tomorrow most likely in the evening and possibly some more Sunday. As a local joke goes. Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes and it'll change.
Who watches the watchmen?Lots of rain over the weekend, and some lightning and thunder, but fortunately no tornadoes, at least not in central AR.
It's been raining for almost two weeks now! Off and on rain yes but still TWO WEEKS!
Finally got a break in it today (for now if these clouds over the mountain are any indicator). All the rivers a blazing fast and way high (and flood warnings from Pueblo to John Martin Reservoir and everywhere along that way of the Arkansas River), the mountain is still buried in snow from 9000 feet and up which is a total rarity since May is normally a hot summer month by now.
But fortunately the fire danger is nonexistent and everything below 9000 feet elevation is vibrant green.
But unfortunately the forecast says we're not out of the woods yet in terms of storm danger and getting summer temps. We don't get 80 degree weather until practically the end of the month! Normally by now we're 90+ and in full summer setup!
It's been raining for the last four to six weeks. I thought it barely rained in Texas.
But tonight turned Biblical. Flood warnings, tornado warnings, dogs and cats living together, massive chunks of town out of power. I got sent home from work early because the store lost power, but thankfully my apartment doesn't seem to have had even a flicker, because my computer was still on when I got back.
Last night was one of the scariest weather encounters I've been in. We were coming back home from eating, with that massive wall of storms out of TX and OK moving in, and a tornado warning for our area. We were turning up the road to our house when my wife changed her mind and got us back on the interstate to head to our college town about 10 miles north of us. The first raindrops and gusts of wind were hitting about the time we had gotten off the interstate, but just as we were getting back on, it hit full-force...straight-line winds and horrible rain, with reports of an actual tornado in the vicinity we'd just left. Visibility for the first few miles of the trek was down to maybe a quarter of a mile. We made it out safe and sound, but that was a harrowing experience.

Extreme weather events like this are what we're all going to have to get used to in the next few decades. *hugs*
This makes three years in this decade that we've had tornadoes or tornadic activity within a few miles of our house.
Absolutely disgusting here in southwestern NH. Hot as balls and so muggy that I could probably swim through the air. If this is a sign of things to come for the rest of the summer, then shoot me now. Yeah, last winter was awful, but going equally far in the opposite direction is not what I wanted.
There is nothing going on in Colorado that hasn't been seen before and won't get seen again. Yes even the coldest (and wettest) May in no less than 25 years.
Speaking of which, it's still doing monsoon style storms here. It's rained 7 times in the last 3 days today included.
And Pueblo County is presently the greenest I've seen it in May coming up on June since like 1998 after we got like 4 days straight of absolute pouring rain like it was a hurricane. (And had a Hell of a snowy winter/spring before that.)
Normally we're in summer temps by now and rising. And the actual monsoon is no less than 3 weeks away minimum.
Still raining although it finally got hot. We must've got a month's worth of rain over the course of 5 separate storm cells over 4 hours in town today.
Of course there is the remnants of Hurricane Blanca moving through the Southwest after those remnants drifted over Los Angeles a couple days ago.
Surprisingly nice for Cleveland standards. I mean hell, the sun's out so that's a good start already
"I could eat a knob at night" - Karl PilkingtonWet.
Like, 'cars floating down the road' wet.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Tornado warning for my part of Minnesota, complete with a confirmed twister on the ground.
Today it rained so much I got to ford a river. That was exciting. (To be fair, it was overflow from a river that had filled a basin-shaped park and spilled out onto the road, but IT WAS RIVER WATER SO IT COUNTS.)
i. hear. a. sound.^ Well, you didn't have to pay the ferry. (Which is for suckers.)
A fuck-off huge thunderstorm, hilariously enough coinciding with AC/DC concert. Talk about "Thunderstruck"!
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisThis Thanksgiving weekend we got tons of snow and now it's cold as fuck in southern Colorado. Easily 15 inches (~37 cm) deep.
It's been raining since Friday, with occasional breaks that only last about a half hour or so.
I think someone misread the memo.
Somehow, they read it as "Wet Christmas" instead of "White Christmas".
Yay South Carolina...
All your safe space are belong to Trump
It's warm, overcast, and humid, and we're predicted to get thunderstormslater today. I, therefore, just had my first hot-fudge sundae of the season.
