This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

On the main page for The Lonely Island, under the trope "Stylistic Suck", it reads: "'Laser Cats', wherein Jorma and Akiva attempt to pitch...". It should be Andy and Bill Hader instead of Jorm and Kiv. It should still be on the page, as it stars Andy and is directed by Akiva, but it should be changed.

Why am I not allowed to have my two cents on that page when others have? I only ask that you post my complaints on the page, not that the page be reopened to everyone at all times. Actually, if there were a system by which to send comments in but no one else could reply, it might benefit these "Dethroning" pages in general. I'm honestly not trying to offend anyone, it would just make me feel better if I could post something that bothers me on the designated page.

We locked the page because the amount of complaining reached the proportions where the page lost any semblance of its purpose and had instead devolved into a Flame War. I am not going to waste moderator time on editing more complaints onto it. In fact, I'd rather cut it entirely.

Griefer contains a pothole to They Plotted A Good Waste that is no longer valid due to it's rename and redefinition.

It fits under the redefinition cuz it quotes the Word of God, but it does need to account for the rename.
It doesn't fit because Griefer isn't an Audience Reaction or YMMV. That was one of the requirements given in the redefinition.

On Double Standard, there is a link to Water Works that needs to be removed, since it's being repurposed as per this thread. Also, right next to the Water Works link is a ptitle link to Men Don't Cry that needs to be changed to a text link.

Something Awful has a pothole to Water Works that needs to be removed. Also, it lists Asperger Syndrome as a trope when it isn't one.
On the Disney page, there is Mother Gothel, but almost all users agreed that she doesn't fit. Can you delete her please??
