The rough draft of Lorraine's motiff is done. I'll post a link in a moment, providing I can get it to work.

Here it is, long with two possible titles. Neither of which I think I'll actually use, cuz they kinda suck.

Anyway, I must leave you now. Goodnight.

^ Exotic.

Assuming this gets Spain's approvel when he wakes up you will all soon read the exciting tale of the first two years of this particular Centauri regiments existence.

Such wonderful stories including the Lai Dame Campaign where the regiment was first created and became a band of brothers (and sisters). Then our very boring escort missions which became less boring after being attacked by pirates and stranded on a planet while they hunted us down, which subsequently led to a full scale battle between Centauri forces and a pirate armada around the planet Izumi. And then the light hearted tale of everyone partying on Jimmy's planet which ends with him getting married.

And that is in year one.

Scholable: To who/what? tongue Anyways, can't wait to see it.

I wish Lorr was still around. Then we could have a scene where it's like

Big High Admiral Guy: Dame Bishop -gestures vaguely in Roxy and Lorr's direction- will lead the aerial assault. -everyone looks at Lorraine.-

Lorraine: -_- -points at Roxy-

She died on the first mission? What a bummer.

You know, if I'm getting this all down right, attrition tooks its toll on the venne Bannikberg Regiment before the story started. It really only consist of three living people before Roxy, Alexei, Earl and the others were added. No wonder we were assigned to Honor Guard duty.

Well if you're gonna do all that, Schol, then I guess I'll have to produce something from the Fed side. Not that any of our backstories can actually feature any of the rest of us... so here's a tidbit from Hobbes' tenure as a marine sergeant on Aeris. ____________________________

Hobbes hit the ground and rolled to weaken the impact and make it easier to scramble to his feet, getting out of the machine’s path just as it crashed across the concrete behind him. The monster was slow in turning and crashed into the wall, tearing a hole through the aging sheetrock and disappearing into the darkness of the next room.

“What the fuck was that?!” screamed Hobbes, recovering his dropped rifle.

“Fuck all if I know!” Renner shouted back. He, Tolden, and Mad Hand had already brought their rifles to their shoulders and taken up positions to cover the machine’s egress hole with crossfire if it reemerged, and Hobbes joined his corporal behind a bare support girder.

“Ammo check!” Hobbes called, and his team answered with unfortunate results. They’d spent too much against the Cents on the upper levels of the complex. On the upside, Renner had picked up two more frag grenades from the earlier fighting, and he passed one each to Mad Hand and Hobbes, who clipped it onto his belt and waved an advance.

Sounds of the unknown machine’s continued rampage had been carrying through the hole to the small squad, but were growing distant. Hobbes dashed to the hole and peeked around the corner. The room was unlit and he couldn’t see anything, but the sounds of the machine were still growing fainter, which both encouraged and made him anxious. Flicking on his rifle’s flashlight he swept the room, seeing strange machinery everywhere he looked, but none of it was moving or man-shaped. The room was at least fifty feet wide and deep, filled with rows of machines whose purposes he couldn’t identity. An assembly line? No matter, the enemy had to be here. He stepped inside, the rest of the squad following. Two hand waves sent Renner and Mad Hand to the right, while Tolden followed Hobbes left.

“What the hell was that, Sarge?” Tolden hissed.

“Fuck all if I know,” said Hobbes. “Construction equipment? I don’t know. Strong as hell and fast, but it can’t turn worth shit,” he said, thinking out loud. The air in this room carried the odor of stale machine oil, a familiar scent to a kid from a factory slum, and it brought back flashes of memory. Late at night, sneaking through the assembly lines with his little brother, Tiger. They had been playing hide and seek as children, but stealing junk as teens.

“Stay close,” he whispered.

Tolden snorted. “Don’t gotta tell me twice.”

The pale lights from the LE Ds on the ends of their gun barrels cast beams that mimicked the spread rate of the assault rifles’ rounds to make judging accuracy in the dark easier, but in here they merely made the dark room seem vaguely unreal, like watching one of those ancient animations where the objects moving on the screen were on a different layer of material from the backgrounds, so that a bad shot would leave an object’s shadow on the background. The room was nearly silent as well, the only sounds being the echoed tapping of the marines’ boots on the concrete and a distant thumping, which Hobbes guessed were the footsteps of the machine that had blindsided him. That monster had been noisy as hell before, so the muted sound suggested that they were alone in this room, but the only exit they’d passed so far was the one they had entered through. Where the hell was this thing? And what direction was that damn pounding coming from? He just couldn’t make it out clearly. It almost seemed like it was coming… from…

“Sarge, there’s a lift elevator over here!” Renner called from across the room.

“Shit,” he hissed, and then cried back, “HE’S ABOVE US!”

And then the ceiling fell in.

Hydrall, Don't you know about the bird?

Also, is Atomic Nut on? I had an idea for how Lee would end up getting the Gatling Roller from Sune.

Here's my idea:

Lee challenges Sune to a drinking contest, and whoever wins gets the Gatling Roller. By my logic, Since Sune's a  *

Pirate, she will accept.

And then HIJINKS!  *

occur.

A worthy attempt but, SRS BSNSS > drinking. And the Gattling is SRS BSNSS.

Why do you want that thing so badly anyway? It's not like you've ever done anything to deserve it.

Hmm...

I've got it!

Lee challenges Sune to see who can destroy or disable more enemy frames in a battle, and to make it fair, Sune's not allowed to use the Gatling Roller during the challenge.

EDIT:

Because that gun has the potential to, dare I say it, have Enuff Dakka
