My Other Car Is an X - Television Tropes & Idioms

A Stock Phrase that sometimes appears on T-shirts or bumper stickers. This started around 1980 with stickers and license-plate frames reading, "My Other Car Is a Porsche". The others are takeoffs, directly or indirectly, on that cliche of the times.

In an early episode of King of the Hill, Bill wears a shirt that says "my other car is a lawnmower."
Comic Book Guy had a bumper sticker which said "My other car is the Millenium Falcon" given to him by a Harrison Ford lookalike, until it was removed by a car wash attendant.

In The Sandman, the Fashion Thing's broom has a bumper sticker reading, "My other broom is a Porsche."
