This is like saying the game corner is more unique and makes it easier to get tms and since there were some people that had fun with it there was no reason for it to be removed.

I mean. Legally it HAD to be removed
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.In an ideal game, the Safari Zone follows normal capture rules but serves as a repository for special Pokemon not available elsewhere, such as Pokemon from outside the local regional dex.
Maybe it could even be divided into sections by region or by type; have a Kanto biome where you can catch many Kanto Pokemon not part of the local dex, or a Rock biome where you can capture many Rock-types not part of the local dex.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Technically only in the EU but yes.
They could've just kept Voltorb Flip from HGSS, or made it into an arcade with other minigames.
Imagine playing Pokemon Pinball in the Game Corner.
Also, I like the idea of making the Safari Zone more in line with the Bug Catching Contest. That way it's less RNG dependent, but still has a twist to it rather than just being another area.

"Be the change you want to see in the world." My bf and I being the change: www.twitch.tv/lilyandfloatzel https://discord.gg/z7PmdTksVjTurning the Game Corner from a casino to an arcade of sorts would be the better way to keep the building around without hanging a lampshade about how they phased it out.
Wake me up at your own risk.FFFFFFUCK Voltorb Flip, and how it made impossible to outright buy coins, and instead you had to grind that minigame for T Ms.
Screw that.
Agreed.
I'd love to get my hands on Ice Beam, but the amount of time I'd need to spend on that game to do it makes me cringe.
One Strip! One Strip! All this conversation is illustrating is that apparently Pokémon fans are not down with side quests at all.
Side quests aren't bad, side quests that rely entirely on RNG and screw you over at every turn are not fun.
As I said before in this thread, minigames in the way of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga's side-games such as "Barrel", "Surfing", "Mine", "Chuckola Bounce", "Border Jump", "Star Stache Smash", etc. in which your rewards are based on your score achieved would be the ideal rework, and I quite like the other one about changing Safari Zone to the Bug Contest-styled hunt.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Riolu in Sinnoh is technically a sidequests. Heck, most legendary Pokémon are sidequests.
Where there's life, there's hope.Ultra sun and moon was chock full of side quests and people still say the games didnt change much from the originals.
Side quests are nice.
Voltorb Flip is a slow, boring slog that still screws you over with luck in the end and pays out a mere pittiance even if you do win. I'd rather mindlessly button-mash a slot machine than play Voltorb Flip. Or better yet, just buy the prizes directly.
I like Minesweeper but VF is a really bad adaptation of it with an unbearable time-invested-to-payout ratio.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Honestly, despite it being broken in GSC (fixed in HGSS tho) the Bug Catching Contest is a happy medium between Safari Zone and Regular Catching. You still have Limitations, but catching to get a worthy prize is worth the time and Pokeball limit.
As for sidequests, I don't really see people harp on Pokeathlon being bad (I legit have never seen anyone complain about Pokeathlon). Contests are a 50/50 split but are still relatively beloved, and PWT is pretty beloved too. You don't see much hate for Secret Bases either. And of course people still have a bunch of affection for the Battle Frontier and are sad that only Battle Tower clones exist now.
I love Voltorb Flip but the fact they took out the ability to buy coins is a straight pisser.
I feel like more people would like Pokestars Studio if they didn't force you to go there to advance the plot
It's not that people "hate" sidequests and don't like anything that deviates from the main game. What people don't like is being completely beholden to RNG, especially to RNG that borders on unfair (and yes, I know the Irony of that when it comes to Battle Frontier, but people like the variety of battle modes there that go beyond just like, singles and doubles with no unique edge to it), or be forced to do it without consent of the player.. I feel like with the modern AI like BDSP has it'd be really great). People don't mind the concept of the Safari Zone, people mind the fact you have to go into the damn thing sometimes three or four times just to get a damn Kangaskhan.
IDK I just think it's unfair to go "Oh those whiny Pokemon fans, they just hate sidequests don't they? How ungrateful." without like, actually reading the criticisms people have of them instead of just brushing them off as The Complainer Is Always Wrong?
Staraptor has actually been a Solid UUBL Pokemon since it's debut generation, even in the post Landorus years. I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Staraptor is like that buddy who's really good at this one game that they can trounce you, but not quite good enough to go pro.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceThere is also the issue of pretty much everything able to be taught Focus Punch in gen IV becoming able to learn it again while being Gen VIII native.
No such luck with Toxic tho, as the TM now has FAR more limited compatibility. FFS give it to Umbreon already.
Hell, Deoxys now gets Nasty Plot.
Special Attacking Deoxys-A/S Sweeper builds are a go!
I think the main problem people had with USUM is that they did a double version for a third version which felt icky since B 2 W 2's double version were for a sequel. Otherwise if it was a singular third version, it's actually a very substantial improvement. I'd say near Platinum level.
I honestly wouldn’t have minded if they had ported/remastered USUM or ORAS if it meant they could give BDSP more time to polish (a year maybe) and maybe add more content rather than being faithful.
Then again they likely would’ve priced the games at $60 if they did.

Check out Rogues Gallery Transplant: The GameThis.
I do think they could have stood to add/change things up a little more than they did, but the biggest sin USUM commits is being greedily split into two versions. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's as improved as Platinum, but it does add some nice stuff.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! And? That's not a good reason to get rid of it. Nobody's forcing people to play in the Safari Zone.

Getting rid of the Safari Zone's unique gameplay would make it no different from other routes other than the higher spawn rate for rare species.
The unique gameplay is the thing people hate about it.
And? That's not a good reason to get rid of it. Nobody's forcing people to play in the Safari Zone.
...'People hate it' seems like a good reason to me. But, uh, as long as it has unique species, people will feel compelled to take it on. Maybe they're doing a challenge run, maybe they don't have easy access to trading. But as long as it's the only source of a species, people will feel forced to interact with the safari zone, despite hating it
I'm not averse to the Safari Zone having some kind of unique gameplay, but it should preferably be less bullshit than how it used to be with throwing bait/rocks and praying they don't just run away.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I honestly feel like Chariot is intentionally trying to be contrarian sometimes lol.
@Last page: I voted for Pupicle for the Snom Line, but got outvoted.
