Switching is probably the only reason this battle system works lol. Other RPGs have more than two party members out at once with larger skillsets available to them. Plus there's a lot of skill involved with switch-in prediction and double switches.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Switching is also a lot less common, but still very important, in doubles, which is the official format.
I wonder why people feel the need to shout that doubles is the official format.
I'm actually surprised there's no possession attack move for Ghost or Dark pokemon
New theme music also a boxI don't see any shouting.
Where there's life, there's hope.Ice type and Rock type's fragility makes me sad. Especially Rock types, since I at least expect ice to be fragile
I'm doing surprisingly well on random battles.
Where there's life, there's hope.I member when Rock types were the premier defensive type.
Random Battles sounds like you'll have a good time 50% of the time.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I'm going to say that Ice at least ought to resist Normal like Rock and Steel do - it'd have some legitimate defensive value then.
Oh God! Natural light! When were rocks ever defensive? Besides the first hour of gen 1.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. It's arguable they were even defensive in Gen I. You ran Rhydon or Golem because you didn't want a stray Zapdos to sweep you. Tauros could overpower them fairly easily with some residual damage.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Rock is actually a pretty good offensive typing, coverage-wise. The moves mostly just have shitty accuracy.
Rock and Ice are both really strong offensive types and really weak defensive types, which is the exact opposite of how Gamefreak treats them. Gamefreak wants Ice to be the Mighty Glacier Type and for Rock to be the Stone Wall type, when both are actually Glass Cannon types.
Normal was toe to toe with Psychic for the title of best type in Gen I (where you HAVE to run Tauros, Snorlax AND Chansey), so Rock types were good defensively there; Rhydon is unquestionably great there, and Golem used to be almost as viable (until the meta realized it was outright inferior).
Zapdos is great in gen I, and Rhydon walls it. Rhydon can also tank an Hyper Beam with ease and do massive damage in the forced recharge.
There is a reason Tauros runs Blizzard.

Normal types were so OP that Persian is a legit end game mon.
Slash was a fainting machine.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Would giving Ice moves their old freezing chance but only to Ice types be broken?
Secret SignatureOnly Blizzard had that. Blizzard now has 70% accuracy rather than 90%.
But, oh boy, Fire Blast had the same burn chance as Scald or Lava Plume. Too bad Fire sucked hard in these games, because no Steel type made it factually inferior to Ice as an attacking type.
Hell, Ice was a decent type in gen I. 3 out of 5 Ice types were OU, and Articuno was viable there as well (poor Dewgong was overshadowed from the start tho).
(And, I'm all for standarizing the 110 BP special moves at 75% accuracy, 20% side effect chance; perhaps giving Surf and Hydro Pump a flinch chance like Waterfall as well).

New Scyther evolution, Kleavor.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.New BDSP trailer showing the Poketch is going to be in the corner of the screen and will handled HIS alongside looks at Amity Square the dungeon allies and Gardenia.
New Legends Arceaus trailer with how you summon ride Pokemon, character customization, new characters, and a new Pokemon
I feel like thereβs a stronger connection between the Scyther and Kabuto families now because it looks like a Kabutops regional variant.
It's been 3000 yearsβ¦I like that Kleavor continues the trend from Scizor in completely changing color and secondary Type.
Honestly, I don't really like its axes. They look a little weird on it.
Secret SignatureIt looks top heavy and its arms seem to thin to hold the axes up, but I honestly don't mind. Scyther is my favorite Pokemon, but I've never really been able to get behind Scizor. But this one looks cool! Also, Bug/Rock may be a better typing than Bug/Flying.]] I'd still like for Scyther to eventually get a Bug/Dragon evolution, maybe something like this.
The lack of voice acting for Legends Arceus still really bugs me. But as for the Wardens, I recognized Marley's ancestor, but I saw someone point out that the others look like ancestors to Lenora, Clay, and Lorelei.
The human characters in BDSP feel lively with the animation on their clothing and hair.

The sad, REAL American dichotomy
I think they should add more Pursuit-like moves to make switching out weaker, constantly switching shouldn't be as strong as it currently is. Plus, it's boring and confusing to watch.
