Thread Anti-Necromancy Game

aside from Sheldon being every stereotypical autism trope made manifest in a single character, I feel like I have two major issues with it:

1) there's an insidious sense of misogyny present in how it writes its feminine characters and the way the main quartet interacts with them. it's less in your face than earlier sitcoms, but it's still there (case in point: the girls choosing to read a Thor comic over Fables in this episode because he's sexy)

the above video illustrates this point pretty damn well

2) it relies a lot on the whole "oooooh, nerd!" / "hey look at this weird nerd thing! weird, right?" as its primary source of humor rather than building it through the character interactions / plot. even with ten plus seasons the premise never evolves past just surface-level stuff about how they're all manchildren or how they prioritize stuff most folks wouldn't care about

they also don't research the nerd stuff they talk about. There's an episode where one of the guys, supposedly a comic expert, teases one of the girls for dressing as Wonder Woman and says "In what universe is Wonder Woman blonde?"...despite the fact that she has been blonde in the comics, and in the 1974 TV movie.

Well, I mean Wonder Woman is commonly associated with black hair.

But I mean, it's likely a nerd would know that Wonder Woman has blond(e?) hair.
