During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

Also a little tip as your a beginner. While its fine to EP a candidate your not sure about, I'd recommend your next EP should be a charachter your slightly more competent on.

I think this Kirby fanfic candidate could be cut as well, from the fanfic Origins of Sectonia:
- Dark Meta Knight is a vengeful being who is determined to get payback for Kirby killing his master. When Sectonia's husband, Herrick, brings home the Dimensional Mirror that the Knight resides in, he first reveals himself to Herrick by forcing him to drink a vial of poison to drive Sectonia into despair. That's when he possesses her and forces her obsession with vanity. He makes her abuse Taranza and neglect her subjects. While they are starving and struggling to survive, he makes her waste the kingdom's money on beauty products. The whole time, Sectonia is fully aware of what is happening, but is powerless to stop it. Dark Meta Knight only ever cared about himself; his vendetta isn't even about loyalty, but is because his master was his "only source of power in this world."
While this story has a little bit more depth than the previous one, it is still a very short 1k, with an "evil character does evil things" narrative.

New EP for tonight, possibly one of several.
What's the work?
Dune Warrior is a film starring David Carradine. A king of post-apocalyptic film featuring Carradine as the wandering warrior Michael, a nomadic warrior out to settle a score with the evil William, a water-hoarding warlord...
Who is William?
A ruthless despot who makes sure to hold on to all the water he can, William opens the film massacring a whole settlement for not knuckling under to him, ruling his territory with a savage iron fist. Rape Pillag And Burn, you won't be surprised? Is in ''full' effect here. We then see William turn his attention to another settlement, forcing them to knuckle under to him. End result...the settlement is given the choice to surrender or die when Michael arrives to assemble a group of warriors to oppose William...
Now, W Illiam? We see plenty of his nastiness throughout. In addition to starving people and keeping water from them, at one point a few travelers are brought to him. Out of boredom and paranoia? He simply has them gunned down for convenience, and is revealed to be Michael's old enemy, from bloody days in the past...now, the heroes begin preparations to take William on, and in the ensuing fight, William launches an attack to kill everyone in the settlement, man, woman and child, with his forces aiming to rape and kill as a result, but thanks to Michael, the heroes defend themselves.
William himself ends up in a fight with Michael...the two going full on sword fight. In the duel, William, losing, tries to pull a gun, only for Michael to slice off his hand. With the settlement victorious, the people who William terrorized surround him. Michael dispassionately remarks William is all theirs, causing them to fall upon the tyrant with revenge on their minds...
Heinousness?
Only villain. We see William murder people at the drop of a hat, slaughter villages, try to slaughter another...not a nice fella.
Mitigating Qualities?
And that's a nay
