I'd rather Disney not own another franchise, thanks.

If Disney owned Castlevania all future games and media would look more like Kid Dracula.

That's definitely an exaggeration. Disney has made plenty of mature stuff under different labels. Hell, given they own Fox now...

It's difficult to say if they'd be worse than Konami in any case.

There still would be some attempt to make it more kid friendly. At the end of the day, Disney doesn't want to do "Mature" rated stuff.

I mean, Maria's practically a Disney princess minus the princess. Including animal sidekicks.

I mean, CV is definitely know stranger to Bloodless Carnage, surprisingly enough, but any attempts to make it more kid friendly would be redundant as we already have Boktai/Lunar Knights as a kid friendly alternative to Castlevania. I mean, it's an orphaned franchise, but what non-Metal Gear or CV franchise from Konami isn't an Orphaned Series?

Well if y'all wanna get technical, there actually is a Japanese cover of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" by Hikaru Midorikawa (Soma Cruz) so...

Man, I can't believe Konami isn't trying to do a new Castlevania.

Between Bloodstained, the Netflix cartoon, and Smash Bros, the iron has never been hotter.

Leave it to Konami to let it cool down.

I'd rather Castlevania just stay dead than let Disney parade Symphony of the Night's corpse around to get people to throw more money at them.

I'd just be happy with an announcement of Castlevania Collection 2. I know one with Ro B, So TN, the GBA games, & the DS titles is a pipe dream, but at least some sort of announcement would be nice.

Well, there is Requiem which has Rondo and Symphony. It'd be cool if they at least released that on other consoles. No idea why it's exclusive to PS4 since neither of those games were PS-exclusive originally. RoB was TG-16 (and Dracula X was SNES) and SotN was on PS1 and Saturn.

A collection with the GBA and DS titles would be cool, though. I never had either of those consoles so I've never had the chance to play them.

I didn't get the latest collection because they snubbed legends.

Chronicles, the PC-Engine/PSX adaptation of OG Castlevania should of been part of that package too.

I bought the SOTN/Rondo collection and when I booted it up Dracula didn't say "what is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets!"

I'm deeply upset and want my money back.

EDIT: Okay Patrick Seitz does a great job at Dracula but what the hell is with Yuri Lowenthal bringing his teenybopper voice to Alucard, who previously sounded like a goth vampire Barry White.

I don't have a problem with lowenthal. It's fine if people liked belgrades deeper voice but his acting was never particularly great.

IGA made the right choice to bring him back in Bloodstained to voice Not Alucard.

Yeah, it is a cool voice, admittedly. But Chronicles Richter and Maria are improvements as well. Also the fairy familiar's song gets covered in English, which I always found a really nice touch.

Some interesting ideas as usual: [[spoiler: Making use of the lost Belmont Victor, and surmising that Shanoa is a descendant of Hector and Julia is something I didn't consider. Beyond that, it's mainly by the numbers.

I give him credit for incorporating everything in the series though, and it looks like he's still not done in the fact that Aeon shows up in the preview thumbnail for the last part. I wonder if he's planning to make any references to Grimoire of Souls (which still has no trope page I've noticed).

Netflix Castlevania animated series season three premieres March 5

It's nice to have the animated series back.

It's weird that we're dry on games outside of Grimoire of Souls while it's airing. You'd think Konami would want o coordinate something.

What's weird is that while Konami's completely slowed down their development of new titles outside a new Bomberman or Contra every once in a while, you would think they'd at least be putting out more collections. Castlevania Anniversary Collection 1 was announced almost a year ago with its release back in May, and there's been nary a word about a second one since.

Random question, but does anyone know what resolution Symphony of the Night runs at? I can't seem to find a concrete answer when I google it.

The original Sot N runs at 240x256, but effectively it's more like 207x256.
