Greetings. This is the thread for requesting assistance with recovering a TV Tropes account for which you have forgotten the password.
Before posting here, please note that Get Known has a comprehensive set of instructions for managing your account. To summarize, password resets are limited as follows:
- If you have an associated email address, use the Lost Password link on the login screen to request a reset email. If that doesn't work, post here.
- If you do not have an associated email address but you are still logged in, you can register an email address and use it for recovering your password.
- If you do not have an associated email address, and have not used your previous account since September 18, 2013, we cannot verify your ownership for technical reasons.
- To verify ownership without an email address, and if you have used your previous account recently, you should be logged in on the same computer and/or Internet connection that you most recently edited or posted from.
- It is not currently possible for moderators to reset your password or change your registered email address. As a last resort, you may use our contact form
to send a message to "The Staff".

I created a new handle as dEXnor, but I've been unable to login with that handle for a reason or another. Thanks for the help if you can reset it.
I used to be Kathrynryn. I didn't do anything terribly exotic with the old handle, however, so if it would be easier for you to delete it than to reset it, feel free. Whatever's easiest for you, really; all I need is to be down to one handle either way. :)

Ohey, I forgot my password to my old account, Zephyria. Old computer broke, and since I had been logged in for a while, when I got a new computer, I completely forgot my password. Could someone please reset it, please?

I used to be hotcakes a few years ago, and then I got a new computer and I could never for the life of me remember the password (and I totally wasn't aware I had this option)... help? Also, out of curiosity, what happens to this account when I start using the old one again?
