This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

~futuremoviewriter, the only condition under which we are willing to consider a release is after a long-duration forum ban. Come back in, let's say, 4 months.
Keep in mind the following, before you respond:
- All of the mods agree that your forum behavior is, at best, odd, and, at worst, actively disruptive. We are unwilling to constantly be checking and/or cleaning up after your attempts to participate.
- A forum ban means you cannot meatpuppet participation in clean-up threads. Do not attempt to vote for Complete Monster candidates via PM. Do not ask other tropers to post EP's or vote on your behalf. If we get wind of this happening, your forum suspension will be permanent, and added to it a PM ban as well.
- The duration of this ban is not arguable. You can either take it or leave it.
- You can still access the wiki at this time. This is purely a forum ban.
- In 4 months, you can appeal again and make your case. Provided that we believe you are capable of conducting yourself according to forum rules, we will release your suspension.

Got back from the Get Help forum page about my editing and grammar. I wonder if I can get back my editing privileges back? Personally, I think I've improve from before and got a better understanding on the standards for edits, but I guess that's not for me to say. At the very least, some of my grammar complaints like missing comas and run-on sentences don't seem to appear anymore. Still, it's up to you guys and I hope you could consider. ~cwf123: "They're not good enough" is not a valid reason to delete all examples of a page. If they were misuse, complaining, natter, or simply not an example, that's a valid reason to remove an example. A large-scale deletion requires consensus and a valid reason to bring up such a proposal.

Indeed, that's why you are here. We take rogue-launching very seriously. Just because a draft has five or more hats does not mean "launch away", especially when you don't have consent from the draft owner.

I am sorry for the stress I might have caused regarding how I approached the quote that was being used for the main page for Avengers: Endgame. I actually did thought Captain America's speech before the Time Heist better summed up the movie than the quote that was already there. I promise to no longer mess with that quote, and I would like to know how I can get my editing privileges back.

Honestly, you guys need a better system for this. Like, I dunno, sending a direct message with the reasoning? It's disconcerting, and frankly annoying, to randomly find your editing privileges suspended with no rhyme or reason...

That is complete and absolute nonsense. I didn't engage in an edit war, I reverted a single edit and provided evidence and reasoning as to why in the, you know, reason section.
As my edit still stands as seen by multiple parties, I am going with the assumption that my claim has been verified. And yet I still got suspended after the fact. What the fuck kind of logic is that?
An edit war is when someone is repeatedly messing with someone else's edits with no explanation and no consideration for anything. All I did was correct a bloody small mistake and CITED IT. Whoever pulled the trigger on this suspension is seriously power tripping, and it's not OK.
Khrunwahl02: I'll be frank. The only reason you've been permitted to stay on TV Tropes this long is because your vileness slipped under our radar. The review you posted on Film.A Ghost Story made it obvious enough, and then we looked at your troper page...
I suppose you could make the case that you're trolling, but I'm not sure that improves things. Either you actually believe what you're writing, or you are pretending to for the lulz, which is, if anything, worse. I hope you find some way to challenge and improve your belief system, but we won't be a party to that process.
