^^ I have no idea...

Talking about the lonely muderous animals of the game, which one would you say was the worst?

The bears were tough but they never quite caught me by surprise, so I ended up killing them by the dozens.

Now the boars... I have quite a burning hartred for those damn swines and their charges. They killed my favorite horse ;_;

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

The cougars still have the most deaths on me. Mainly because they'll ambush me while I'm picking flowers. Possibly the worst death for a cowboy ever. Bears would come second.

I was collecting a bounty in bear territory. A bear ambushed us both and killed our horses. I managed to kill the bear and hogtie the bounty. Some of his gang showed up with bears in tow. It was horrible. I died.

Finished killing them with my knife though, they can't circle strafe. Only have 5 more levels of hunting challenges and 8 more levels of treasure hunting. I'm trying my hardest not to find a guide for the treasure hunting.

I had the ending spoiled by editing the page, too sad

Still, most fun I've ahd with a game in a while, and even with the story defeated — so. much. left. to. do....

Just finished it, and it's definitely one of the best games of the year. It's one of the best video game storylines I've seen since Mafia, and all in all it's -

RANDOM COUGAR ATTACK!!!

Ahem... sorry about that. Anyway, one of the things I liked most about the game was the sheer berth of things you can do, even and especially in multiplayer. It's not just running around killing people, the story actually draws you in, and there's interesting ways you can run around killing people, though when it comes to me I usually just take my bounties alive.

Plus, the protagonist is likeable, you end up not wanting to run around shooting everything in sight (or at least not wanting to save doing that) because at least at first you really want to be the hero with him... save the Complete Monster stuff for after you've finished his story. They really bullseyed the "cynical atoner trying his best to do good in a brutal, uncaring world."

Which just makes the end all the sadder, actually.

I might get this game, not just for the story and gameplay itself, but because of its wonderful bugs. My favorite so far has to be Gunslinger Dog.

Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.

True. So many glitches. I haven't run into anything like that... yet, but I've still had weird stuff like pigs falling from the sky, people gliding instead of walking, objects staying in place instead of moving like they're supposed to, people disappearing when shot, etc.

Plus, the game several times just frozen up and even crashed on me, including once while it was saving.

I really hope they get a patch out or something soon.

Is it Obvious Beta bad, or are the glitches mostly harmless?

My hubby and I took turns playing through the storyline. It was fun. We're at about...97% completion or so right now.

When hubby killed the final enemy, he emptied every single gun into their corpse, proceeded to drown it in fire bottles, made a pincushion out of its face with throwing knives and then threw dynamite at it until it bounced so far into the river we couldn't see it anymore.

I guess you could say he found the storyline a tad emotionally compelling.

99.5% done. Only have the Mexico bounties left.

I'm kinda sad that there isn't much left to do.

This game is a blast. My very first play through ended in death by Prairie velociraptor known as a cougar.

After you do the race with lady i was out roaming and hunting. Saw a couple wild boars was like cool I can get some good stuff off these guys. I shoot one with the rifle and start to slow my horse down. Suddenly my horse topples head over tea kettle and dumps on the ground I see something flash in from the side and swipe my ass onto the ground. The boars friend charges me as I get up and die. The cougar runs over my dead body.

The wolves, coyotes, cougars, and wild boars all declared war on me all at once. It sucked. It was The Birds but with a bunch of crazed blood thirsty critters from hell chasing me. The cougar swiped my horse and I fell off a cliff...to my death.

This game is a blast though. I just hate those damn cougars.

I noticed in earlier posts some of you were interested in getting with other tropers for multiplayer.

Troper Covens has an Xboxlive for tropers looking to play with other tropers. There is a play station version too.

Funny.

I can't find a damn cougar for the life of me.

Believe me, I've tried since I'm on the Hunter mission to kill two cougars with the knife.

Why won't you come kill me you damn velociraptors of the west!?

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

IM working towards it. I have a ways to go though.

You can find cougars near the Mc Farland ranch up on the mountain as well as some wild boars and in the area around Plainview.

Killing wolves with the knife is big enough pain I can't imagine doing that to the cougars. Pro tip shot their back legs with a weak pistol to slow em up and make it easier...you can also lasso some of the wild critters. Yeah I lassoed a deer and then swapped to my rifle and shot it before it got away.

Rilfes are Your Friend.

If your sneaky and use your bait wisely you can use the repeater rifles for head shots. Use your dead eye to hit multiple prey targets. This gets easier with the level 2 dead eye mode as you just draw your target cursor over the target. This works best with the Winchester repeater as you can fire up to 5 killing shot pairs or one head shot per target. Makes the shoot the bird challenges easier.

It will probably be a long while for a PC edition I wouldn't hold your breath for it though. There might not be a port because pirating is still an issue.
