Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.I didn't really know where to post this. It was either here or the Western Animation section but I figure it would more appropriate here.
With Cuphead the animation coming relatively soon (15 days from now), I was really thinking about how drastically improved tv adaption of video games has been in the 5 years. I guess it was inevitable but it really never felt we were going to get a legit tv adaption of video games. Now I can actually count with 1 hand how many good video games shows there are. Technically I should count with 2 hands since Digimon & Kirby existed for a while. At least IMO, Kirby was a fun show & one of the 4Kids dubs. And I've seen a few people complain about Castlevania. I know I still have my problems with the show. I guess one could argue these adaptions could be more faithful & such but I'm also starting to think that may its own strength. However, the point is I'm trying to make is that we're finally at the point where we finally have good video games shows. The only real bad video game show I can think of in the last 5 years was Dragon's Dogma. With Cuphead coming out in roughly 2 weeks & what said about Alice, it's so surreal to know that future of TV adaptions of video games is actually looking promising.

Putting this video here, because while I think there was a Goemon thread, it's so old it'd be difficult to dig up (and the search sucks these days, since even if I put in the exact name of what I'm looking for, it still gives me a hundred other things that have nothing to do with it):
This was a pretty fun rendition of I Am Impact. Though it only reminds me that Konami is 100% uninterested in doing any actual games besides Pachinko and Cell phone Gacha games anymore.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm watching someone play through Mario 3D World and the players brought up how games with stylized graphics tend to age better than ones with realistic graphics.
It makes me wonder if there's any games that have aged well with realistic graphics.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.Hey, anyone remember when Square Enix filed a trademark for Gex in Europe?
They filed a trademark for Gex in Japan a few days ago.
I'm still positive it's for merchandising purposes or even for the sake of just keeping it on a leash. The world's not ready for Gex to come back.
...Right?
If Gex makes a return, can we blame Scott for it?
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.Wouldn't mind more Action RPG Pokémon games, but I still want some old-fashioned ones.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."And already we have reasons to not buy it.
Basically, it's a thread about Piko Entertainment being assholes about game preservation.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*I will always remember Piko Interactive as being the company that bought the rights to a fan translation of a bootleg Chinese RPG on the Genesis/Mega Drive solely for the purpose of selling it on Steam for money.
Time to return to Monkey Island in 2022.
Wait, WHAT?!
Hell to the YES!

actually surprised they went for TO and not FFT first
Is that Tactics Ogre: Reborn, trademarked in Japan, or the trademark Tactics Ogre: Reborn in Japan?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I just discovered Epiphany City and it looks like my kind of indie game! Just came out today. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1508530/Epiphany_City/

The Protomen enhanced my life.
Don't know if the game has an actual thread, but...
American McGee's Alice is getting a TV show.
Solid Snake himself is showrunning it.
