Outsold Smash this quarter. I don't even know if the sequel can make it stop.
The sequel has a lot to live up to and I think Nintendo knows it....which is probably why, in classic Nintendo fashion, they'll go in a different direction and give us something we're not expecting.
Breath of the Wild 2 will be a dating simulator.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.
NGL, that would be hilariously amazing LMAO
Hope: "Let's go. We'll be together." Lightning: "I only know... that soon, we'll be together."Link has the body for that business.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Considering the Zelda 35th anniversary is next year, Nintendo might go big for next year. I also figure Bot W 2 will be delayed in 2021 to start it out.

The Legend of Zelda's date
New theme music also a boxDating sim? Try Paper Zelda. A mod for Origami King incorporated Paper Link. He looks surprisingly well-designed, also!

135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300A Zelda game in Paper Mario style? That'd be dope, tbh
Hope: "Let's go. We'll be together." Lightning: "I only know... that soon, we'll be together."This fan made video for a Paper Zelda is so well-done I want it to be real.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Skyward Sword listed for Switch on Amazon UK.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I hope the Breath of the Wild sequel is a more traditional, ALttP/OoT-style Zelda, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll bet you anything Zelda herself is the main hero and Link becomes a Distressed Dude, though.
Also, I have a theory about Majora's Mask that I've been thinking of putting on the WMG page: what if the friend Link sets out to find isn't Navi, but Saria?
I think that makes sense. Saria was Link's best (and before the events of Ocarina, only) friend, one he couldn't really meet in the adult timeline. It figures that after going back to his childhood one final time, the first thing he'd do is go looking for her. In the Lost Woods, no less.
In the end, Skull Kind says that Link smells like "the kid who taught [him] that song in the forest." (I know there's a theory that says the kid in question is Saria and not Link, but I don't remember how it goes.) That ending makes more sense if you assume Link was looking for Saria. He may not have been able to reunite with her, but he made a new friend who was also touched by her in some way.
Lastly, Skull Kid can be seen as a shadow of Link. He's the person Link might have become if he let himself be consumed by grief over losing his friend. Skull Kid's friends, the giants, also had green hair. Not exactly a smoking gun, but there ya go.
Thoughts?

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Bet us anything, huh?
I'll take that bet.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The first time I played Majora's Mask, I thought the "friend Link was looking for" was Epona, because Skull Kid stole her and Link ran after her.
It's the reason she got a haircut! Short hair is easier to animate! Plus, no clipping her shield/outfit.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I mean Nintendo might implement more elements from the previous games like more elaborate and aesthetically distinct dungeons but that's about it.
That sounds like a big improvement over the dull-as-dishwater "divine beasts," but it's not enough. There hasn't been a Zelda game I've truly enjoyed since Twilight Princess.
(I still gotta play that Link's Awakening remake. I've heard that's good.)

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I do hope we go back at least to some extent to dungeons that are built around the items that you get from them. Even if they're not super useful in the outside world, they don't really have to be, as long as the dungeon explores enough creative possibilities.
It's been fun.I was going through some of my old Miiverse screenshots and this one◊ from Hyrule Warriors made me laugh.
The Protomen enhanced my life. The only one I remember of my own was a screenshot of the warning text "Redead Knight and the Gibdos have appeared!", with my caption "Oh hey, they're my favorite band."
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Man, I miss Miiverse.
I get why Nintendo got rid of it, but I'm not really one for sharing that stuff on Twitter or Facebook so this was Miiverse worked for me (since it was separate from those accounts, and I'm pretty uptight about keeping my online identities apart from each other).
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah, while I really enjoyed BotW, the lack of more traditional dungeons was annoying. I'm not quite sure how you'd meld the styles, but I'm not a professional game designer, so...
I never actually got round to finishing Hyrule Warriors... Maybe I'll just pick up Definitive Edition.
I would keep the "dungeon is the item" concept and try to build something linear around it.
I've found the most fun dungeons are those that make you think about all of your equipment. I also like a Link Between World's currency punishment but I don't know how you'd make an equivalent when you have everything at your disposal.
The Switch version of Bot W is at 18.6 million. It's over 20 million sold if we count the Wii U version.
