So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

On a completely different note, while the characters still look more or less like themselves, Cloud and Aerith seem like they've had the least alterations.
Like, they all still look close to their original game selves, but those two seem to lack the extra flourishes that the others have (Barret's shades, or Tifa's Kneesocks).
Wonder what's up with that?

Remake!Tifa is best Tifa. Part of me is going to miss the bare legs, but the thigh-highs are growing on me.
Also, someone on Twitter pointed out that if you look at Remake!Tifa's render, you can see she has Chocobo and Bomb charms on her wrists.
A bummer about them not using the original cast, but it's not like this new cast is the worst, right? Hopefully, they grew up with the original game or at the very least, are major fans of FF in general.
It's pretty hilarious how SE got a different Superman to be Sephiroth.
Finally, should VII Remake have its own characters sheet by now or we still don't have enough material to go on yet?

Still, her new look is great. Now lets hope Tifa's classic personality still shines through.

Tifa's eyes have the Doe eyed look like in the original, so its likely.
Most of the new voices sound fine but i'm not feeling barret or sephiroth.
What's the rule on posting your own videos here? Because I did one for some of my thoughts on the FFVII remake, and I think posting that would probably be better than writing a thousand word essay of a post.

Honestly I like that they recasted everyone, all the voices across the board but like Cid and Yuffie really never fit the characters.
The new voices seem to fit a lot better, especially Barret.

To be honest I like it just because it's not something I see in japanime games often... Or ever.
Barret's got the unenviable task of being like the one-in-ten-thousand black characters in a JRPG so he's going to be scrutinized heavily no matter what.
Bleye knows Sabers.
I can't help it but I'm laughing at the idea of Barret being Mr T; there's a lot of people who would probably love that.
The character is in the unenviable position of being a character written by a largely homogenous culture that allows the original writers to ignore potential offense done by a particular representation, then filtered/translated into a culture where that is a huge, ongoing argument and such things are nearly always under scrutiny.

Going back a bit earlier to the voice actors: Why would voice actors, or anyone, be expected to be informed that they weren't being hired on for a job? Unless they were part of the audition process, I don't see any problem with not informing someone they don't have a job. No one expects a grocery store to tell someone who didn't apply there they don't have the cashier position.

trying to play that on PC was horrid,in fact none of the mini games did well on the PC as the controls were awful and they had no mouse support
