Nah, even with the crop I can tell that there's more above and that the character needs to get another key first. Playing games like this I know how they work though so maybe it's just my knowledge getting in the way.

The Key Is Behind the Lock is a subtrope of Catch-22 Dilemma so any image that illustrates the former would inherently illustrate the latter. That said, the suggestion does work better there.
I went looking for an image that would illustrate the Trope Namer and this is the best I could find:

Yeah, that Catch-22 image is missing what makes this a Catch-22; specifically the fact that this rule is about sanity, and that asking to be taken off the missions due to insanity only proves you sane enough to keep flying. Basically, it lacks the context of why this dilemma is being posed at all, and what the "mentally fit" part is referring to.

I know it's the trope namer, but it still illustrates Morton's Fork better. The trope name isn't really good either, because the trope namer itself is a better example of Morton's Fork than this one.
