Technically the rules allow for smaller checks if the low count is already very indicative of a problem. So I don't think it's a big deal.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI think the examples involving spitting llamas can just be moved to the TLP draft since the draft's existence means Yarding is unnecessary.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.for future reference, from Administrivia. How To Do A Wick Check:
- The number of wicks you check should be either the square root of the total number of wicks or 50, whichever is larger. If there are fewer than 50 wicks, check them all.
I was referring to the paragraph below that:
"You can check a smaller number of wicks if you feel you're not up to the task, but unless your results are very conclusive, they will likely be challenged on the basis of your sample not being large enough to be representative."
Basically it's not encouraged but it's also not the end of the world either.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOK, it's been three days, so calling in favor of cutting. Get out the guillotine.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Anyone want to check the page to ensure the spitting examples are on the TLP draft before the cut?
I may need to skim through to see if I can find enough to save for the yard. That'll have to be later, as it's very late where I am.
Page is cut, so time to close.

^There's a "spitting llamas" TLP draft I linked to in the description.
I was not specifically aware of minimum wick counts. I could go back and add some more?
