What Warrants Its Own Page On A Work?

I'm fixing some Entry Pimp issues on the Fate/Grand Order character pages, and I noticed the sheer *number* of Balance Buff examples under various characters. I feel as if it would be appropriate to add a separate page for all of those examples, but I cannot find a guide on this site that tells me if it would be warranted. For example, what is the minimum number of times a trope must be used in a work to warrant a page entirely for examples of that trope?

[up] Perhaps count how many examples of that trope you stumbled upon and then do a character/byte count of all of the examples combined? If it's in the double digits and/or the byte count is high, it could be a good sign to give that trope its own subpage.

Also what's wrong with entry pumping?

What’s do you mean by “bytes?” Also, I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with entry pimping, I was just doing it myself. I phrased it that way because I didn’t want it to sound as if I was shoehorning tropes where they didn’t belong.

[up] According to Google about bytes:

a group of binary digits or bits (usually eight) operated on as a unit.

500k characters/Bytes are the maximum length of pages.

I respectfully detest Balance Buff and similar concepts, which describe changes between versions of a product rather than something that a user would experience during gameplay.

At best they should be Trivia.

[up] So the issue is that it might be Trivia at best, and not tropeworthy at worst? I might add it to Tropes Needing TRS in that case.

There is a debate that probably needs to be held about the role of tropes describing version changes in games and other non-static products. The momentary experience of the product is not affected by them at all, but the ongoing experience is, making how to trope them uncertain.

For certain things, like Balance Buff, the secondary question is whether they are too common to trope.

[up] I've amended the Tropes Needing TRS entry thusly.

Maybe I'll do a wick check sometime in the future (depending on what my schedule looks like this year.)

@3: Don't take this the wrong way, but are you not a native English speaker? "Fixing some Entry Pimp issues" makes it sound like you're removing shoehorned examples, not entry pimping something yourself; I'm not sure what "issues" are being "fixed" in that case.

For the most part "bytes" will usually be interchangeable with "characters" but only with regard to the source code of the page (though I still haven't gotten a straight answer as to which source code is relevant to the ~500KB limit, but that's neither here nor there).

Regarding the tropeworthiness of Balance Buff, I'm not sure "too common to trope" is an actual thing; we do have pages on Omnipresent Tropes, after all. It is something the creators of a work do for a specific reason; ergo, it's at least trope-adjacent.

We could always restrict Balance Buff examples to cases between different installments (e.g. changes made in the transition from Pokémon Red and Blue and Pokémon Gold and Silver) and bar games that constantly get patched (e.g. every change in a live service game like Destiny 2) from having examples. It's easier to keep track of "finished" games like this and stops pages from turning into patch notes.

@Morgan Wick I'm a native English speaker, I just didn't want it to sound as if I was Entry Pimping by putting tropes where they don't belong. I was checking tropes that were listed on a work's character pages, but weren't listed on the trope's page before adding them *to* the trope page. Also, if it helps to clarify anything, the player in FGO is usually given the option as to whether or not they want to apply the Balance Buff to their character. The buffs often have to be unlocked via completing an Interlude or a Rank-Up Quest.
