Needs Help: Healing Boss(TLP)

So on Healing Boss, I'm iffy about using the current page image because according to Anominus on the IP thread, it's poorly cropped and doesn't have enough context to show that the boss is healing. I can barely make out what's happening in the image myself and, to me, it looks like some random numbers plastered over what I presume is the boss.

Not some of my best work. Does anyone else have any suggestions for the image? I could try to get something that fits.

For now, I would suggest BUPKIS because, given what Amonimus said in the IP thread, it's very difficult to capture the trope in action with just a single image. It requires A LOT of context.

Specimen 1: Bulimia, who heals herself by eating from a platter she always carries around.

1.1: Healing herself, notice the green plus symbol and restored health.

1.2: Healing herself and others, the special effects while healing are more apparent (though I could retake it for the former).

Specimen 2: Amazake, who sips from wine jars to heal himself. I may need more time to capture him with the green plus symbol, but he gets plus signs around him regardless.

1.3: Him healing in battle.

1.4: The easiest to take a pic of from his in-game profile.

If need be I could take a "before" image for him like Bulimia's but the plus signs may help without that. What do you think?

No child should have to think of selling medication for food. Are you afraid?

Nothing indicating that character is a boss except some minions. Do the heroes have green health bars? Because if they do, it would be better to show them in the image as it is common for the good guys to have green health bars while the bad guys have red health bars.

Yeah... Sorry, but the images you posted are non-indicative. The first two look like Game Gourmet is being applied instead, while the last two... I have no idea what's happening without proper context. There's also the fact that in both cases, nothing hints that the characters in them are bosses themselves.

That's fair, I was trying to use units that fight from a distance so that the images wouldn't be too busy, but I understand.

I'm trying to retake the images with just one of the good guys team in frame, since, Cardboardbot is right, the heroes do have green health bars (while the bad guys have red ones).

However, I'm not hurrying to get the pictures tonight since my day today was rather busy, I hope that's understandable. I can only predict that I can post them sometime tomorrow (give or take 12+ hours).

Of course, anyone else is always free to suggest other options before (or after) I get my retakes.

Given the sparse activity here anyway, we're in no hurry to close this discussion with a decision yet. Take the time you need.

Could someone screen cap Bowser healing himself from this LP of Paper Mario? [1] Timestamp is 30:11 to 30:13-ish.

I like it because:

1. Mario and Bowser are pretty commonly recognized

2. Even if you don't know them, they're still facing each other, Bowser himself is huge and has a sinister aura, Bowser looks like a dragon which is a common boss type.

3. There's a floating heart, a common symbol for healing.

Alternatively there's Hooktail healing herself by eating the audience in the sequel, but that seems busier to me [2]

Here's my attempt at a screencap of the Bowser Fight. My main problem is that the text on the heart obscure's its shape quite a bit, but I wanted to provide a proof of concept.

Hmm... Is it possible to screencap another image before that one of Bowser using the Star Rod that does the healing effect? If we can combine these two, we may have a solid page image (key word being "may").

I'll admit, the Bowser one is unclear to me since I don't want to watch the video and can't really tell what's going on. It definitely needs a second picture.

I dunno. I'd like to see Bowser's health bar, before and after. (Goombario's tattle ability shows it).

Perhaps a 2x2 4-panel image could work?

I think 20 looks fine as is. 2x2 pics never look great at wikisize.

Agree that a health bar comparison would be helpful. We see Bowser is at 50 health after doing whatever he used the Star Rod for, but we don't see his health beforehand, and it's not obvious what he's doing is healing.
