I'm kind of tired at the moment and don't currently feel up to contributing anything I haven't previously said, so I'll just copy and paste what I said in the ATT thread:
I'm indifferent on listing objective tropes associated with genres, but I don't think YMMV items should be listed there and should be saved for the pages for musicians who play the genre.
(Disclaimer: This is just my $0.02 and not a Word of Mod statement.)
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. It seems to me that, just as a franchise may have tropes common to its individual entries, so too may a genre. Thus it makes sense to me that a genre-page might have trope-entries.
My Games & WritingListing objective trope for genre pages seems fine to me as long as they don't list tropes on No Real Life Examples or YMMV on the genre page. Genre's also have patterns associated with them and troping them shouldn't be a problem.
I think it's okay to list tropes that are strongly associated with a genre, but we shouldn't be troping individual songs and artists that don't have a page.
For example the Cloudcuckoolander example on Dubstep is not about the genre as a whole, but about an artist named Zomboy who doesn't have a page. That example could go on the Cloudcuckoolander page (if it's a valid example, at least) but Dubstep shouldn't be used as a holding pen for an artist's tropes until they get their own page.

If it's not a problem overall then I'll drop the issue, my actual concern was that these pages use tropes that are not inherent to genres but just describe songs and could be moved to individual pages.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIf the songs reflect the genre or the genre are known for having such songs (i.e. Silly Love Songs in pop genre) then listing this in the genre's page should be fine ig. But if it's troping a specific musician then it should go to either the trope page or the musician page like Zuxtron said.
AAT redirect.
I've noticed some Music Tropes like Eurobeat, Crunkcore, Electro House (even has YMMV tropes), Dubstep, Synthwave (not even a trope page), have "Tropes associated with" segments in them, and I don't mean like SubTropes or related tropes, but treating the genre like a work page by giving further details that could have been in the description or giving combined examples for multiple artists. I don't think that's proper?
I've not yet made full research to compile a list or checked non-music genre pages to see the size of the issue.
