Maxie Zeus. Some guy with delusions of godhood and who thinks Batman is Hades or something. And who shoves some Rome in his idea of Ancient Greece. I mainly remember his The Batman appearance.

Maxie Zeus is the Batman villain. He's a mob boss who's under the delusion that he's the Greek God Zeus.

Admitably the leaked toy images have made me worried over Gorr's look.

I'll have to see him in action before I can figure out how I feel about this design.

His cape needs to be black at least. That's Gorr's entire look.

I'm miffed by the apparent lack of his hair tentacles.

Don't like when they tone down alien features of a character, helps sell the look after all

I'm more bothered by him having a nose.

Making him look less hideous is probably part of making him more appealing

That toy looks unpainted, unless it's meant to be all-white. I'm going to offer that most of the audience members for this movie have no idea who Gorr is or what he "should look like" canonically.

They could just CG it all things considered.

Yeah never considered they would make Gorr less inhuman to play up Bale's looks. Rather disappointing if so.

IIRC the actress that played Shak Ti had MASSIVE problems with her horns and tendrils hence why they re-did them for Mandalorian

They were going to give him tentacles, but Christian Bale insisted on actually growing them himself and the production crew were unable to convince him that this wasn't possible.

Gorr's stopped looking like a Twi'lek made some Horcruxes and more like an Engineer from Alien.

Gorr honestly looks like the manga version of Piccolo, complete with a lack of coloration.

I'm not surprised they ditched his normal black goo speedo look. Whit robes is kind of major shift, though.

And we have a Jane Thor poster.

I feel like this works better because Thor is actively choosing a different character arc, rather than being stripped of his powers so that Jane can have his powers and identity.

I would question why MCU Jane is worthy, but then I'd also have to question why Vision was worthy. Pretty sure "worthy" means "whoever the writers want to be" at this point.

Would T'Challa have been worthy? He seems the most noble of the Avengers after Steve.

If we're keeping Jane's "I have cancer" arc, then they could go with the comics' explanation of her having the inner strength to continue to fight for the right thing even with a debilitating illness. Mjolnir also purges all the unnatural chemicals in her body... and this includes the chemo and the tumors are counted as part of her body. Her choosing to be Thor even when it was literally killing her is what made her worthy. Plus, Mjolnir was developing sentience and was actively choosing who was worthy I believe.

Unfortunately, it kept deciding Thor was not on that list of worthy people.

It got so bad that at one point TONY STARK was considered more worthy.

Tony himself immediately knew shit was going sideways.

Civil war black panther? no worthy.

Black panther black panther? yeah more worthy

Speaking of Gods, Bast is also making her debut this movie.

For those who don't know, Bast is an Egyptian goddess who is worshiped in Wakanda.

It is pretty hilarious.

Pretty much everyone and their mom became worthy but Thor has to constantly prove himself worthy to the point he declares himself the God of the unworthy to signify how he'll always constantly prove he is worthy.

At this point its more just the hammer being an asshole than anything.

Thor also revealed Tony's private number in the middle of things.

It says a lot about Hammertime's issues that he seems to base his self-worth in a stupid hammer.
