Removing the Source pages from Trivia

So, it was decided via mod fiat a few month ago to move Image Source, Video Source, and Quote Source from the Trivia index to the Administrivia index. But no proper dewicking effort was done so I created a thread just for that.

• Video Source 136 wicks
• Image Source 1297 wicks
• Quote Source 895 wicks

I'll work on dewicking Video Source wicks today.

(How much of these lists are pretty outdated... I also don't understand why all of them use a sub-bullet when there's only one item.)

Should they also be removed from Non-Trivia spaces? (ex. "... . The work also provides X for the trope" is used in example lists). I've cited Good examples are self-contained in a few deletions, but I've reconsidered since the thread mentions removing these from Trivia and not the rest.

Hmm, I think they should be removed from work pages as well. I didn't mention non-trivia pages because I wasn't sure what a valid link to the source page would look like.

Sources are always subject to change so I don't think current image/video/quote sources should be mentioned on work and trope pages

I think they all use a sub-bullet because they're indices.

I mean on Trivia pages, it's like

Speaking as someone who sometimes forgets to update the index itself when changing pics I guarantee that many of those crosswicks to Trivia are outdated. (Yet another reason to dewick if you ask me.)

Yeah, I've tried to update Image Source when I remember but often don't.

Some of them being half as short as the respective Admin lists just shows how inefficient it is to maintain duplicate lists.

Yeah, that's also pretty bad.

Trope Namers is good to keep, right?

They're not in the scope of this thread and weren't discussed before but I'd also consider making a discussion to un-Trivia them some time in the future.

Brought Image Source wicks below 1000, and dragged down any Quote Source in the way.

I swear all the "Is such an example of this trope, it's even the Image Source" with no further context were making my eyes pop.

Update:

• Video Source: 13 wicks (Would like an opinion on the remaining)
• Image Source: 960 wicks
• Quote Source: 653 wicks

Except for the one you placed on the Cut List, these Video Source wicks should all be good to keep. Those sandboxes could stand a look, but that's outside of this thread's scope.

I see FernandoLemon have been helping out because I've got into page locks a few times.

Why indentation just doesn't exist on Trivia pages?

I've noticed some Trivia pages had "is a page quote for" without actually wicking to Quote Source.

We're only missing the P, R, S and T ones, and we're done with Image Source.

Well done everybody. Now to periodically check if any new examples pop up, and send notifiers to the people who add them.

One got re-added to Trivia.Dan Vs. It's not the same user who added them, but it was removed before. Just remove + notifier, or is something else necessary? Skirting a bit close to Edit War territory for my liking, even if not quite.
