Those freaking cowards cannot commit.

I'm pushing for Robert Pattinson too. Not as expensive as Keanu and is at the height of his popularity due to Batman. And given that Shadow is all but furry Batman, the role fits like a glove.

Buuuuut, it would be nice for Kirk Thornton to finally be able to give in a good Shadow performance and shut his haters up.

We know Pattinson's willing to take a chance on unusual things (The Lighthouse anyone?); he might not be hard to convince.

Just saw the short and thought it was pretty good! Seeing a self-learning badnik left behind after Robotnik's defeat was pretty interesting, and Knuckles had some pretty funny lines. I also loved how even Unit's poems were about conquering the world

I do wonder if that robot is going to be like E-Gamma from the games where E-Gamma was also a robot who was made by Robotnik and he goes good.

It's pretty much E-Gamma in all but name. Right down to being persuaded to turn good by one of Sonic's friends, in this case Tails instead of Amy.

If they do introduce Amy I hope her quills stick out backwards like Sonic's instead of being brushed down like Knuckles's just to make it more obvious to kids in the audience that she is, in fact, a hedgehog and not an echidna.

She is literally Sonic in a dress and with a different hairstyle, and you want her to look even more like Sonic?

Viewers Are Morons is not something to be enforced.

Maybe there'll be two versions of Sonic 3, a Sonic version and a Shadow version. Both versions will have the same epilogue to tie the two versions together into a true ending, but if you don't have tickets proving you've seen both, you'll get kicked out of the theater before you can see that true ending.

Pokemon is the only franchise that could pull it off and not get lynched for it.

I mean, that Pokémon movie didn't have a "true" ending and the differences were superficial.

Considering this continuity has live action films, a western animation short, a comic book prequel and soon a series, I think the sonic Paramount film series could already be a sub-franchise on its own to the standards of the wiki.

I don't know if it makes sense for him to have it at this stage of his characterization, but given how the writers want to throw elements of SA2 and the Shadow game into Sonic 3, I kinda really want to see Tails come up with the Cyclone in some capacity. Or maybe merge it with the Tornado 2 since we technically got the Tornado in Sonic 2.

Yeah, Tails probably just hijacked the red plane, but I'd like to think his time flying it gave Tails the drive to learn more about planes. (And also, merging the Tornado 2 with the Cyclone will probably give us the closest thing to live-action Macross since we still don't know if that live-action Macross/Robotech movie is still gonna happen. And you really can't go wrong with jets turning into mechs.)

EDIT: Oh wait, the Cyclone already has a plane mode. Still, though.

I would love to see Tails in the Cyclone too! Even better, maybe fight either Robotnik or Stone (depending on whether or not Jim Carrey returns in the third Sonic movie) in the mecha machine he was in in SA 2!

They STILL haven't done Product Placement with the actual Sonic restaurant?! They give out frigging chili dogs! Do you realize how obvious a promotion that would be?!

If they had done that, I would have given the film a perfect score. I still believe this is the best live-action video game movie ever made.

For some fucking reason. Seriously, they plug Olive Garden so hard I legit wonder if the CEO is ransoming the producer's family.

Or they think it's just funny as hell.

I legit think it started as a legit promotion that then caught on as a gag for the commander.

Actually, an interview confirmed it was just a gag and not actually product placement. It started off as just the gag with the gift card at the end and then they started adding more jokes about it earlier in the movie. Zillow was actual product placement, though.
