Funny thought with the implementation of the Nemesis System it does open up a lot of moments of potential cruelty you can cause through the mechanics.
Here an Orc is left scarred and in horrible pain from his last death so he just wants to permanently die. You can choose to kill him ways that won't cause a final death with some difficulty as he steadily grows immune to all your tactics.
While here a mere slave Orc can be promoted to boss after killing you and can grow to become a powerful warboss until you tear him down and mind-fuck him to deranged insanity.
Of course they'll undoutably change the mechanics so Diana will be less cruel towards her foes, Talion is explicitly an anti-hero so his cruelty towards the Orcs including brainwashing them makes sense but with Diana who is supposed to be a noble hero that obviously doesn't way.
Which actually Shadow of War released 2 DLC expansion packs that star new playable characters without Talion's brainwashing ability so the mechanic can work fine without mind-controlling them.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I could see Diana fight Vandel Savage if they keep her WWII (or WWI) origins in it.
And if they set in WWII, I want her to fight the Nazis.
Nazis where literally Diana's first opponents.
Surprised the guy named "Von Storm" hasn't become a regular opponent of hers, honestly.
I’m proud of growing the combat team into a highly collaborative cross-discipline fighting force! We are well poised to take on the challenge of Wonder Woman’s iconic power and set the bar for superhero combat!
Working on the Wonder Woman game means doing justice to her debut as the main character. For me that means not just delivering on her physical power, but her heart as well.
I hear Wonder Woman has been a diplomat.
Maybe the game might put some focus on that.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Hopefully she'll have more luck on the videogame front than other DC heroes like Superman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Flash.
Disgusted, but not surprisedTalion was basically a superhero in those games so the framework is there, they just have to modify Talion's super-ghost playstyle to be more brutish and strength focused for Diana whose a flying brick. Plus of course her distinctive weapons like the lasso and bracelets.
Fun fact, the Morder duology did have multiple major expansion packs that had you play as other characters in their own story campaigns such as Celebrimbor in his war against Sauron in Shadow of Mordor and the elf Eltarial and human Baranor in their own major post-campaign stories in Shadow of War.
Baranor is an interesting case especially since unlike Talion, Celebrimbor, and Eltariel he completely lacked their wraith powers so they developed an all new technology/weapon based playstyle for him.
So there's the possibility of characters other than Diana being playable. I can easily imagine them doing a prequel campaign starring Hippolyta. Holy Hell being able to lead your own squad of Amazons would be another use the Nemesis System can provide.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Doctor Cyber, Doctor Poison, Doctor Psycho, Professor Menace...A lot of scholars among her baddies, huh?
Maxwell Lord, Veronica Kyle, and Paula von Gunther would be good for those plot-moving baddies rather than boss fights.
Now, Crimson Centapide would make a cool boss fight. Though, yeah, low-key I would want also Egg Fu and Blue Snowman.
Duke of Deception would be good for those mandatory dreamlike segments Scarecrow popularised. Earl of Greed and Count of Conquest probably can be skipped. Dr Psycho would be good for those too. Angle Man would work pretty well but I'm dreaming here.
BTW @slimcoder Wondy did fight Echidna.
Queen of Fables would be great for cool enemies and stages to fight.
And who can forget the ancient dragon queen from the graphic Novel League Of One, Drakul Karfang? She would make an awesome boss.
And that's along with all the better-known ones. Giganta, Cheetah, and Silver Swan would fit into a game really well.
Or they could go full God of War by having her fight the Greek gods.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Maybe I'm missing something, but doesn't Wondy revere the gods? And the only ones she's at odds with is Ares and Circe for being evil?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Ares already did that in the movie.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Speaking of that, man, I wish the Wonder Woman franchise used Greek Mythology and culture more often. There's so much to explore, but most of the times the relation seems too tangencial. I don't know if it is more used in the comics, but I was a bit disappointed with how Ares backstory in Wonder Woman (2017) basically killed any chances to see the greek deities in the DC Extended Universe (not to mention the relation with greek culture was also small, even more so in the sequel, with things like Zeus creating humanity instead of Prometheus). I'm probably being way too nitpicky, but I wonder if the game will use more of that part of Diana's universe. Not to the extent of God of War or anything, but imagine Diana fighting Medusa like in the comics and the player using her head as a weapon or something.

oh hey how are you doing?I assume that’s due to Greek Mythology largely being a public domain thing so it’s a bit harder for Diana to get more distinct rogues for her.
Which of course isn’t impossible, Marvel’s Thor is very successful and it’s version of Loki is practically a household name.
It varies depending on the interpretation of the Gods though they are leaning more negatively recently.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think overdoing it would risk Wonder Woman not having her own identity especially since Greek mythology is the most well known mythology there is. Most Thor fans probably never heard about Heimdall outside of Marvel.
It is a pretty fine line. Ares is one of her big three and that guy is pretty much the universal villain for Greek Mythology stories.
Though by contrast Circe works a bit better as a major antag because she is a more obscure mythological character.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Hmmm.... guess I'll be keeping a close eye on this one. I'm not a fan of what Monolith did with Middle Earth, but I'm more than willing to forgive all that in exchange for a chance to potentially punch Nazis, hang out with Etta, flirt with Steve, and generally play the awesomest princess of all time.
They've been doing that since George Perez's run in the 80s.
If I remember right, besides the gloomy story that didn't really fit the tone of Middle Earth very well, it had microtransactions.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Controversial story decisions, several of which incredibly lore breaking.
Most infamously turning Shelob, a spider monster and pet of Sauron into an attractive woman and former lover of Sauron.
Like the first Middle-Earth game was pretty okay in canoness but the sequel is when it outright turned into fan-fiction.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie." Sounds like a comic book I meant what was wrong with the gameplay.
That microtransactions does sound pretty bad.
I hate all of youThe gameplay was fine for the most part, the majority of complaints towards the games was centered on its story and again the micro-transactions which only really became noticeable in the final arc of the game which was very grindy forcing you to pay for Orc captains.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I was asking Tarlonnel, but I still appreciate the answer
I hate all of youHonestly, I'd rather go up against Wonder Woman's own, unique antagonists; rather than the ones she shares with almost every other Greek-inspired hero.
Yea, for those characters specifically.
