Didn't the mods previously say that inline Trivia wicks are allowed on non-Trivia pages (similarly to how Definition-Only Pages allow inline wicks that reference the terms, but don't allow standalone examples anywhere), and that only standalone examples are restricted to pages in the Trivia/ and Creator/ namespaces?

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. That's how I remember it, yes.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI recall a different mod (I think Fighteer) saying that in the 1.8 update thread a few years ago, since that update introduced tags that indicate whether YMMV or Trivia wicks need to be moved (or whether Flame Bait wicks need to be deleted), but I don't currently feel like going through that thread to find the post.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.(It also makes cleanup faster for me since my process is ctrl + f Dummied Out and only going into edit if it's bulleted.)
Link to wick list, Video Game A to G is done.
Maybe you're right. I think there were some cases when an icon covered content (hard to say if it was crucial), but I suppose they can be kept for now.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Got Video Game/H to L.
Got the Y's done for Video Game/.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope Report269 wicks left on video game work pages, and 942 out of 2829 wicks are already on Trivia subpages. 328 wicks are on character pages, but I don't know how many are either in-universe examples or inline wicks, since both of those are safe to keep.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Going through some of the Characters pages and noticed there's a whole entry on the character page for Fallout 2 for a Dummied Out NPC. Should this be cut wholesale?
I think the information should just be moved to the Trivia subpage if it isn't already there. If the character is absent from the final product, I'd say the entry is safe to keep off the Characters subpage.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. Are all of the wicks in the VideoGame/ namespace inline wicks? It was previously mentioned that wicks were moved up to Y.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I think the vidya game wicks from M to X still need to be looked at.
Characters/ should probably be perused as well, although it's "lower priority".

Took care of Video Game/M to O, and U to X.
So just the Video Game/P to T wicks need to be cleaned out before we can wrap this up.
Link to wick list again.
I finished cleaning up the Characters pages (past .hack, where War Jay 77 left off) and from best I can tell, they're all clear of actual examples of Dummied Out. The wicks in the character section are all mentions in other entries or In-Universe examples. I'll move on to help with the main video game pages tomorrow.
I cleaned the P wicks, so only Q through T are left.
Edit: Make that R through T because there was only one Q page to go through, so I decided to just take care of it.
Edit: R wicks cleaned. Only S and T are left.
Edit: I haven't done any of the S wicks yet, but I cleared out the work-specific namespaces (by which I mean the namespaces with names like "[WorkName]/Tropes A To D").
Edit: S wicks cleaned. Only T is left, and I'm taking a break because my arms and back hurt.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I got the T's.
If I'm not mistaken, that's it?
Yeah, I think we're all good.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOkay, closing.

Um. It’s not necessary to do so though, as noted upthread. “Annoys people” isn’t the same as “not allowed”, and I’m focusing on the latter. Getting the “not allowed” wicks out is the goal.
