Hmm...the only replacement idea I can think of is if we see a reviewer holding up the game/DVD/whatever they're reviewing, followed by an image from a sketch.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Looked this up in the examples. 2008 quality

The trope refers to Video Review Shows that frequently interrupt their reviews for (usually humorous) sketches. The image can thus be inferred as representing a sketch, but it doesn't indicate any sort of reviewing on its own. The caption does the entirety of the legwork here, which I feel is not the best approach.
I think taking an image of the review portion of an AVGN episode (or any other example) and coupling it with a sketch may be the best option here, somewhat similar to the image that's currently on Big-Lipped Alligator Moment.
