Well, I'm gonna need something to shoot at people who are being annoying.

Elise takes the letter with trepidation. ... There's nothing too terrifying in here, right?

Would you believe there's light-speed delay between here and there? I legitimately don't know.

Uh... Probably not, he wouldn't need it. Though he might have actual body armor buried in there somewhere.

   "Hey, let me see if theres like, a nice jacket in here or something!"   

or maybe a cool hat! can't go wrong with a cool hat.

Elise folds up the letter and puts it in her pocket.

"Does anyone know someone dead they'd like to try resurrecting?"

   "Wait, what? What's this for?!"   

"Huh?"

um... I can name a couple, but I'm gonna pass. it could go horribly wrong in a number of ways, especially considering who's behind it.

Honestly I don't know anyone who I'd revive.

Elise shrugs. "They want to confirm that teal isn't betraying them... understandably. And... I can't follow these diagrams without his help. So the only way to be sure it works as claimed is to cast it."

   "Wait, what do you mean by betraying them?"   

"What do you mean..?"

Elise shrugs. "Giving them false information, I assume. Why he'd do that, I can't imagine, but I can't imagine why he did some other things, so..."

"Considering Hydroxyl is among those whom Teal is dealing with, I think it would be in their best interest to betray them."

   "Fuck yeah! Betrayal!"    Ikei's wearing one of Hydroxyl's jackets on top of his own now, and tosses Cutbug one of Hydroxyl's hats.

[Cutbug grabs the hat and sticks it on top of their usual baseball cap.]

"Half the reason he's working on resurrection with them at all is... to make it up to me for getting the other twelve killed," Elise says. "By bringing them back. Which would be an incentive to work as promised, but... then we found out they're already back, in this place." She tilts her head. "But he said there's light-speed delay between here and there, so it's possible the teal over there doesn't know that yet."

   "Teal over there? Wait, is their name just teal? Or is their species a teal? Sorry for all the questions."   

"Isn't teal a colour?"

"He never told me his name, but his voice sounds teal, so I call him teal." Elise shrugs. "I don't even have synesthesia, but somehow... it's alien stuff, I assume."

huh. can this Teal speak through you? I wanna see what color I see their voice as. yours is just plain white by itself, Elise, but some people have cool colored voices. Ikei's is green with a black background, for example.

"He can," Elise says, "but I really don't want him to."
