^ You removed the example from Ralph Breaks the Internet, Was is because of the missing context or do you know the scene and it doesn't fit the new definition? In this scene Ralph and Vanellope tell the guard to check on a made-up incident at another place in order to get past his post. That's a standard trick in fiction and should have its place somewhere.

Well the definition isn’t new. The trope is specifically about getting someone to leave the room in order to discuss something private. And it looks like the example was moved to The Guards Must Be Crazy which seems to fit better

Macron's notesFair enough.
Go Look At The Distraction has been added to Administrivia.TRS Wick Cleaning.
I'm back! Also wouldn’t mind Go Look At The Distraction redirecting to Look Behind You after wick clean up is done
Macron's notesAll the wicks are done!
Macron's notesGreat! All we need to decide now is what to do with the redirect.
I'm back!Well since there hasn't been any objections...is it ok if I just redirect Go Look At The Distraction to Look Behind You and then holler for a lock on this thread?
Macron's notesA disambiguation may also work. I'd prefer that, in fact, as we cannot assume that the incoming links are all covered by another trope.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHm, yeah when it's not used for Look Behind You or Privacy by Distraction, its being used for We Need a Distraction and its other subtropes.

Macron's notesSoo Disambig then?
Macron's notesGo ahead? I think?
I'd like to apologize for all this.Went ahead and also took care of the discussion page. Time to lock, I think.

Crown Description:
Go Look At The Distraction is subject to frequent misuse. What should be done with it?
All irregular-namespace, Sandbox, Series, Western Animation, and WMG pages are cleaned up. At this point, I think that Go Look At The Distraction should be redirected to Look Behind You, since it sounds similar and that seems to be the most common usage. 77 wicks remaining.
I'm back!
