Look, maybe that idea could go to TLP or something and become it's own thing. It seems potentially tropeworthy, but the current trope needs other work done to it.

And this is why TRS has a backlog of pending final threads: a lot of them stalled, whether due to inactivity or other reasons. Instead, just add your idea to the Trope Idea Salvage Yard (or start up a TLP draft) and get over it.
One qualified example (if I read the conversation correctly) is not enough to split off into a new trope.

Like I said though, we don't often just add every idea to the crowner, we add the ones that get some sort of agreement- yours was pretty controversial. Not necessarily a bad idea, but the discussion wound up agreeing that, as-is, it wouldn't pan out. So while I get not wanting to move on until full discussion has been had, it's also generally pointless to add ideas on the crowner if only one person thinks it's actually a good idea.

What do you think of this as a disambig, if we go the disambig route:
- Awesome Music: Music that is widely loved.
- Cult Soundtrack: A soundtrack as one of a work's main identifiers or selling points.
- Music Of Note: Influential and notable music.
Since we're removing the wicks anyway, and turning a trope into a disambig is effectively the same as cutting it...

Question while I dewick, is it worth making TRS threads for the other "notable" tropes, such as Music Of Note, Notable Fanfiction Archives, Notable Flash Videos, Notable Music Videos, and Notable Quotables?
