Is there anything left to do, or are we just waiting for the rename to occur?

Sorry about the wait. I'll perform the move.

Edit: Done. We only got 105 wicks to deal with.

No worries, I'll get started on the dewick. Edited: I dewicked the tropes, excepted for one wick in The Jailbait Wait because SoCalization was namedrop in the work. Edit 2: 56 wicks left.

[up] In that case, may be best to leave that one and keep SoCalization as a redirect.

[up]Yeah, that was what I was thinking. Also, I think you missed the analysis and laconic pages. I think they should be moved. Also, I believe that the laconic page needs a better description.

20 wicks left. I have a few wicks I'm unsure how to deal with:

  • The Mediator: This page claims that SoCalization was averted because the main character lives in Northern California. This can't be right, can it?
  • The Simpsons S 12 E 8 Skinners Sense Of Snow: This is claiming that the episode is treating things like it is in Canada, not South California. Is there another trope I can put this under?
  • American Chopper: This page is claiming that this series is averting SoCalization because the main character are emphasizing that they are not Californians.

Edit: OK, I'm almost done, just the 3 wicks that I mentioned above. I noticed two trends while going thru these. One was that a lot of people seems to pothole any mention of California to SoCalization, and in one case, thinks being set in Los Angeles is an example of SoCalization. Another is that the vast majority of examples involves ages of consent, which seems a little weird to me.

[up] I'll cut the first and third. As aversions, they will not translate well to the new name.

Edit: I may have found a better trope for the third one.

Edit 2: Thinking second one is a shoehorn.

[up]Great! Now that's done, I've found another problem. I'm not sure this is in the right indexes. Hollywood Provincialism is not a setting sereotype, so Indexed States of America and Hollywood Atlas does not seem to fit to me. Creator Standpoint Index and Hollywood Style looks like they will work better to me, but I'm not good with indexing.

Added to Hollywood Style, but I'm not sure on Creator Standpoint Index.

Anyone else want to pitch in?

Since Hollywood Style is a sub-index and Creator Standpoint Index is a parent index to it, I don’t think we need to add the trope there.

Alright, just wondering.

What about Indexed States of America? I can see why it may not fit Hollywood Atlas, so I may remove that unless if anyone objects.

[up][up]Right, in that case the way it is now is fine to me.

[up] It looks like I jump the gun a little. I looked at Indexed States of America more closely, and it looks like it for any tropes dealing with America. Also, Eagleland Osmosis is indexed there, so Hollywood Provincialism remaining there is OK.

And on the Hollywood Atlas issue, it seems that We All Live in America is also on it, and considering that it is the Super-Trope to Hollywood Provincialism, I think we can solve it by simply moving Hollywood Provincialism to under We All Live in America in the index.

I'm down with that idea. On it!

Edit: Done. I think we're done.
