Dhalsim is illustrating the trope title but not the trope, methinks. Pull, possibly BUPKIS.
I can imagine much better Dhalsim pictures, but I'm also not convinced that he's the best choice for a page image.
Pull.
back lolLiterally anything from ARMS would work, but first off here's Ribbon Girl◊ throwing a punch.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢That doesn't depict the fact that she's bad in close-combat though, which is the other qualification.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDhalsim is the Trope Codifier and illustrates it pretty well, so keep on that grounds. I'd be happy to replace him by an actual screenshot, such as this one◊.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! The thing is, they can’t just be shown to be good at long-distance fighting- they also need to be shown to be less good at short-range fighting.

back lolSure, it's not perfect but it's better than leaving it blank. Besides, wouldn't "long range but not weak at short" count as playing with this trope?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! It's preferred that we get a straight example so we get the right idea of what the trope is.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Any obvious straight example would overlap with Archer Archetype, Cold Sniper, or similar tropes.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I'm unconvinced that removing the "bad at close range" part would count as a Played With example; it's not twisting how the trope manifests in the work or subverting expectations, it's just...only using half the trope.
Either way though, we need a better example.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessClock is set.
I have no idea how this guy is even supposed to fit the trope at all.
do you hear the drums?
