I cleaned the few that were on Buso Renkin.
As an experiment I put "www.mangafox" (which I think is one of the more popular scanlation sites) into the search bar and came up with:
Which isn't as bad as I thought but still indicates there is a lot of work to do.

I decided to revive this thread under my auspices because there's still a lot of links floating around in the Wiki pages. Many of them are violations of Weblinks Are Not Examples and the prohibition on scanlation sites. Recently, I removed links to scanlation sites and commented out the examples in Hekikai no AiON.
The main mission of the thread now is to locate Wiki pages that contain links to said sites and remove then as soon as possible, as well comment out Zero-Context Examples resulting from it.
I’ve been meaning to work on that page for a while...it’s a mess.
It would be helpful if there was a way to find scanlation links across the wiki
Macron's notesI'll ask the admins if we can have a report on some links, and if yes I'll probably forward the list compiled here (courtesy notice to ~Willbyr). I am not terribly hopeful, however.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIs mangatown.com a scanlation site? If so, we need to clean Awesome Art.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Yeah it is.
Macron's notesCleaned those links from the Awesome Art page.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Good news! I found hundreds of pages with scanlation links, which could breathe new life in this project.
Back in May I made a crawler to get the source of nearly every wiki page (which I'll be more careful to get permission before if I use it again), and can search the text of them. I have the files on a computer so I can search through them for relevant keywords.
To start off I made Pages That Mention Mangafox which lists every page I found that has the word "mangafox" in it.
edit: I also made Pages That Mention Manga Reader. I just discovered Scanlation Sites, so I'll put new listings there instead of making new pages.

The Mangafox page is clear except for the troper pages, and we can't do anything about those directly.
Yay, we got through the Mangareader links. Which site should I search for next?
We could just go in order of what's on Scanlation Sites so far.
Bumping this — in the middle of another cleanup, but noted a ton of batoto links on Manga.Beelzebub subpages.
Links to manga are not allowed, unless they're from official sources (such as Crunchyroll's or Viz's manga services). Despite this, many pages still have examples that link to scanlation sites. Circa 2007-2010, the ban on scanlation links wasn't enforced much, so many examples date back to that era.
