Opened...IIRC I thought this one wasn't clear on it being a minigame.
Yeah, not seeing the minigame part.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessPossibly that weapon at the top right is supposed to indicate that the game is not primarily about racing, but I don't find that enough.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.By the way, all subtypes are represented: The level map course with markers (Banjo-Kazooie), the race-specific course (Kirby) and the "I can't believe it's not Mario Kart" course (Kingdom Hearts).

Original the Signature. Do not steal.Eh.... it’s just me, but the first picture doesn’t really convey “race”.
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”There's a checkered flag, a sign with an arrow, two characters running, a timer...
Plus, the "vs." that indicates competition. The racing elements are there.

Original the Signature. Do not steal. How about another Grand Theft Auto example—this one◊ from Grand Theft Auto V?
Feels like it would be difficult to see the position at wiki size.
Original the Signature. Do not steal. How is that better than the OP?
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Yeah, it's not just important to show "race". We need the "minigame" part.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThe second one has somewhat shoddy quality. I'm assuming it's not native resolution.
Original the Signature. Do not steal.I don't think this needs a multi-part image.
Keet cleanupfrom Super Mario Odyssey
PSA: a cat is not a dogThat's probably as good as it can get, but there might be a better screenshot out there.
I've looked up many examples of this trope and it's almost impossible to find one that encapsulates both "racing" and "minigame" without looking like a Racing Game altogether, especially if it uses vehicles. The best alternative is to use an on-foot race since those tend to be almost exclusively platformer or action-adventure minigames instead of an actual genre.
Mario Party alone has hundreds of those, but it's almost cheating to suggest from it.

Original the Signature. Do not steal. That looks like a Mario-themed racing game. BUPKIS?

The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I think 12.1 is okay.
I prefer 15. All the in-game elements make it absolutely clear that it's a mini-game to me and only require one screenshot. As for the quality, it's a modern HD game, obviously not going too look great in wikisize.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I have no idea what's going on in 15.
It's a freerunning minigame (note the banner named "Koopa Freerunning" with times and such) but I don't think the visual is very clear.
I do not think this is a BUPKIS case.

The issue there is that it's so small, the text is hard to read, not to mention it's yellow-on-white...
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessMy main problem with that is that it's difficult to figure out what's happening there.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.That's plenty of suggestions, so why don't we start up a crowner?
This image was downvoted in the Main suggestion thread. Other ideas?
