Trigger's BNA: Brand New Animal Anime Reveals More Cast, Staff, Netflix Streaming in 1st Promo Video
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Yoh Yoshinari Shares Info about Upcoming BNA: Brand New Animal Anime in Latest Newtype
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.It always amuses me how the protagonist of these shows is always some kind of canine.
Always a wolf or dog or related animal.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I love dogs so I can't say I mind.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysSame. I look forward to how Trigger will make this go batshit.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I guess dogs/canines are more relatable. I swear my dog is so expressive I almost forget she isn't human sometimes.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.She's a Tanuki, though the older detective MC is a werewolf
Now collecting bets on how the big finale will happen in space.
It's been fun.In giant robots with drills
and green fire

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireAnd Getter Robo And Mazinger references.
Watch SymphogearHalf my brain after watching the first two episodes/seeing clips from the later ones on 4chan: Michiru are you dumb, why are you defending terrorists??? Wow this world is pretty fucking brutal huh? What's this I hear about Shirou being over a 100 and Michiru's friend being evil?
The other half: "God, Shirou is so fucking hot. And he names his crow Kuro? That's so goddamn adorable what the shit."
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysEpisode 6 reveals Michiru’s friend became the figurehead of some cult and has amazing shapeshifting powers like Michiru but has more control over. Honestly, it seems these two turned into the Yokai versions of a Kitsune and Tanuki rather than the anthropomorphic animal versions of a fox and raccoon dog.

oh wow...
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysShirou and Michiru's relationship is rather cute, they bicker like siblings lol. Also is it just my misunderstanding or did he really defy orders and let the baseball gambling stay just cause it made Michiru happy? cause is so, that's adorable
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysI hope someone better at starting articles writes one, I'm watching episode #1 right now and see a few tropes already.
If you do drugs... Don't to roshnah!!Shirou is Ginrou isn't he. And while I can understand why she feels betrayed and I definitely don't trust the cult, Nazuna isn't wrong that Michiru is naive and does things on her own based off her own assumptions

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysI have two theories about Shirou. One, he is the Wolf God in Beast Man form. Two, with genetics playing a part in this series, he might be the Mewtwo to Ginrou's Mew. Either way, that would explain why he is so OP.
Seems reasonable to assume that Shirou is the real deal, if only because it creates a contrast with our two artificial yokai. He also had serious difficulty wrapping his brain around the whole idea that people could be turned into beastmen.
What's precedent ever done for us?It wouldn't be a Studio Trigger anime without a few shout outs and sure enough, there are plenty in this show that are related to animal characters. For example, you can see Nick Wilde of Zootopia in the background of episode 1. In the same episode, you can also see a shot of a band consisting of a donkey, rooster, dog and cat, an obvious reference to the Bremen Town Musicians fairy tale.
Sooo... I'd add this to the YMMV tab if I knew what trope to use, but...
1) A world where beastmen and humans exist. 2) The beastmen can shift into a human form. 3) The relationship between humans and beastmen is tenuous at best. 4) The beastmen eventually had to make their own city in the hopes of persecution. 5) There appears to be an evil corporation secretly experimenting on beastmen. 6) One of the leads is a wolf beastman with the surname "Ogami."
Are we sure this isn't supposed to be an adaptation of Bloody Roar?

> Are we sure this isn't supposed to be an adaptation of Bloody Roar?
No, that was Killing Bites
> No, that was Killing Bites
Killing Bites' plot points don't line up with Bloody Roar's. The only similarity there is the focus on fighting. BNA is an almost beat-for-beat match for Bloody Roar.
(a 7th similarity I forgot to add before in this regard: One of the researchers attached to the possible evil corporation is a chameleon.)

Just caught up to this. Any indication on when we're getting the second half, I wonder?
It's been fun.When the TV broadcast catches up. It began broadcasting weekly on Fuji TV a couple weeks after Netflix Japan got the first six episodes. Whether or not we'll get the next six all at once or be waiting on the weekly broadcast, I've no idea.
Episode 6 is set to broadcast on May 13th. So more should be coming one way or another on May 20th.
I'm starting up a new thread for an upcoming Anime by Studio TRIGGER, BNA: Brand New Animal.
These pages have more info on it, but the Story Synopsis according to Anime News Network goes;
"In the anime's story, in the 21st century, the existence of animal-humans came to light after being hidden in the darkness of history. Michiru lived life as a normal human, until one day she suddenly turns into a tanuki-human. She runs away and takes refuge in a special city area called "Anima City" that was set up 10 years ago for animal-humans to be able to live as themselves. There Michiru meets Shirou, a wolf-human who hates humans. Through Shirou, Michiru starts to learn about the worries, lifestyle, and joys of the animal-humans. As Michiru and Shirou try to learn why Michiru suddenly turned into an animal-human, they unexpectedly get wrapped up in a large incident."
Yoh Yoshinari is directing the Anime, while Kazuki Nakashima provides the screenplay.
The Voice Cast as of now includes;
I'm really interested in this one. Michiru is adorable.
