Well... looking at the examples, this trope needs more a repair shop to tighten the definition first. A LOT of examples are impractical but not impossible.

Yep. ‘Impossibly’ implies well ‘impossible’. Like floating parts and such, the costume could not exist in real life without super glue, assistance, and/or careful camera angles.

- impractical outfit for the job, like say Frills of Justice is just not something one would actually wear into combat but they do.
