Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

The villains at ???'s place, looked at the Nominators leaving in the Den-Liner, being unnerved by Decade's presence. If he managed to discover their plan he might ruin everything, together they discussed what to do.
Great Leader: Decade's interference could compromise our entire operation... At least the Convergence's effects will keep him busy in the meanwhile.
BCK: We can afford to see a way to make him a non-issue in our plans.
Zoffy: I've been able to spend enough time with Bale to realize what he's like... I'll be sure to stay close to them.
Prof. Gil: Just be careful not to raise suspicion, Alien Zetton Zoffy.
Don Horror: No need to worry about that, Bale has bonded with Zoffy enough to view him as a fatherly figure. He will be sure to trust us... Plus, we got other lost generals like Skydain and Space Ikadevil. They were following missions when they went missing of all sudden.
Great Leader: I can assure you that'll be no problem. A few lost generals aren't things to worry about in terms of losing... We can always find a replacement.
Then a blue robot barged in the room, angrily.
Groundain: You are bold to speak like that of my sister, you have to make sure your soldiers find her!
Great Leader: That will be seen another day.

FLASHBACK: The Combine Overworld
Advisor Beta sees one tiny red circle on the virtual map of the sub-base.
"Heh. I guess someone forgot about that person."
As soon as it sees one arm rise out of the sub-base's remains, Beta realizes it's none other than Shiva. The very same one that nearly got her hands on the 7th Dragon Ball. After arguing with the other Advisors, Beta demands one thing from them...
"I don't care if it's one person, send in a goddamn Praetorian to kill her!"
"At first, I was like "hmmm, yeah, buff choccy bunny." But bro: I don't think it's a joke anymore..."
Kirby
The Spacepod, The Sky
The Den-Liner suddenly disappeared.
"It disappeared!"
"Calm down, i think it just went into another dimension. Let's not follow them, ok?"
Magolor then drives the Spacepod lower into the ground. They are now flying above a forest.
Meanwhile, the sky bus stops when the Den-Liner disappeared. It, too, descends lower into the ground.

Miranda closes the album and smiles as Ichi pets Power.
"I assure you that she'll be successful in life, as long as she believes in herself and remembers that she can always count on us if she needs help!"
"Aww thanks!" says the artist. "And Starfall, I told 6k1 that one's life is far from ordinary if they're not a human, though mine was relatively normal compared to, say, the Mane Six's. That is, until I started watching the Hunger Games. I bet it's safe to say that it has changed my life."
She looks out the window and sees that the train has stopped at the Ultraman Universe, and it'll be heading for Panem next. She feels her stomach flutter as the train speeds up, for she'll be meeting her other friends soon.
Tabby then asks her what she was talking about. Power grins.
"Oh, we were just talking about my foalhood!"
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
"Heh, don't be surprised if you spot this adorable, nerdy little pony's art on display at museums in the future."

"Well, in order to get off of Earth, we need to grab a spaceship. I suggest we hijack a spaceflight and try to get somewhere... else."

Kulmbach: Right, so this is the second Troper Games, where the "Nominators" compete against each other. If CAC made it far in the first one, this should be good... let's see what these guys can do.

The Den-Liner left the wreckage of the Legion's sub-base, as it did, no one was aware of the arrival of Narutaki, who came late to help.
Narutaki: What, the crisis got solved without me?
He then looked at the distance and spotted Diend destroying Sidious and also warping away.
Narutaki: Diend... This can only mean one thing... Decade!!! DAMN YOUUUUU... How are you so awesome at handling this!!!???

The Spacepod eventually arrives near the Arena. Magolor and friends then sits in the cockpit.
"Now we just have to wait for the others."

The Den-Liner finally arrived at the Arena Podiums, all the Nominators and participants were told to board off and take their positions.
Owner: And we reached our destination, you may board off now.
Naomi: We hope our service was to your liking.
Upon descending Bale and MG noticed one conveniently empty spot in the podiums.
MG: Hmmm. I think I want to see how things go in here, so... It's free real state.
Bale: Huh, you'll participate. If I kill you, no hard feelings?
MG: No hard feelings, Bale.
Bale: Cool, now we wait.
They then got into the podiums, before the Den-Liner left, Momotaros looked at the Nominators and warned them.
Momotaros: Don't you dare to summon or nominate me, I'll be super busy fixing time paradoxes and anomalies.
The other imagin then came out briefly to say goodbye as well.
Ryutaros: Break a leg!
Kintaros: Best of luck to you all!
Urataros: Always stay safe.
With that said all of them returned to the Den-Liner, which left for another time period.

"Hey, it's okay Tabby. I understand if that was traumatic for you. I'll not bring it up any further."
Soon, the Den-Liner reaches the Arena. Starfall waves at Dave and 6k1 as he goes to his podium. Dave, seeing him, waves back at him, Power and Ichi.
"Best of luck, everyone!" he tells them.
"Truly, we all hope so. May the odds be ever in your favor," Dave responds calmly.
Hope: "Let's go. We'll be together." Lightning: "I only know... that soon, we'll be together."

"Who knows, Ichi?" says Miranda. "Maybe that'll be her next job in the future!"
"And I agree with you Starfall," says Power before turning to Tabby. "Sorry to hear about that, but whatever happens in the Arena, good luck!"
Meanwhile, Ralsei and the other Undergrounders enjoy talking with each other in another car. Power looks out the window again and whinnies when the train makes its final stop.
"We're heeere!"
She and Miranda get up, and the latter accompanies her to her podium. She and the others wave to her and 6k1 and wish them good luck before the train takes them home.
"Hey there, guys!" 6k1 says to the new arrivals. "Are you excited for the Games?!"
"I CERTAINLY AAAAAAM!!!" Power cries out loud before putting on her helmet.
"Good luck everyone, and as cheesy as it sounds, may the odds be ever in your favor!"
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
Kirby
Near the Arena
"Hey, they're here!" said Magolor.
Kirby then waves to all of the people who went down the train. So do Magolor and Ribbon, but they just glare when Scipion went into view.
Meanwhile, the creature posing as Mr. Star arrives. It uses it's camera to take pictures and footage of the Nominators, sending them directly to Mr. Star.
Magolor then sends a message to 6k1, telling them that the others have arrived, and asking her to tell them if she finds another Treatling.

Starfall grins. "Well, I'm sure it will be an experience."

6k1 sends Magolor a heads-up about that, then raises her eyebrow at "Mr. Star", not convinced by the disguise. She has her suspicions that the real one refused to show up for whatever reason, but decides to keep it a secret. She then fistbumps Dave in return and waves to Mr. Godzilla.
"Well, I'm excited since this is my first time here... but also a little nervous!"

"Finally... Well it's time to step in!" Scipion cackled jumping out from the train before going towards his podium on his four legs.
"Boss... What happens if you die? You're going to be resurrected, right?"
"Don't worry about that. I'll be fine."
"I honestly wish you didn't." Aaron said as he and the rest of the Pokemons got out of the Den-Liner to go to the library.
"Too bad for you." Scipion mocked. Aaron growled before looking at the rest of the nominators, waving at the ones he and his crew knew.
"Good luck everyone! I hope it'll be fine for all of you!" he exclaimed before leaving. Onox menwhile reluctantly left his boss on his podium.
"If either one of you touch my boss. I'll crush you." he warned. Scipion cackled.
"That won't be necessary Onox. If I die, that's the game, you don't need to get angry for me."
"I see that you have eradicated the threat of the Legion of Doom." Clyde said emotionlessly, appearing out of nowhere, surprising the Zoroark.
"Damnit! Do you want me to rip you to shred?"
"I Don't think that would be very productive, sir."
"Then stop being a god damn creepy kid, okay? Why are you even here?"
"I was sent here to see if you were doing fine, as well as to teleport you and Onox in the mistress's castle once you are done with this... game... Now that I'm thinking about it, you and your companions must have a morbid fetishism if you're so eager to be killed."
Scipion cringed, not believing what he just heard.
"But... That's not why... How do you function?"
"Well, as a Ghost Pokemon, I-"
"Gah! Nevermind. Shut up. Just do your thing, understood?"
Clyde nodded, looking at the rest of the nominators with curiosity before going to the border of the arena. Scipion sighed, creeped out by the undead Shuppet before turning back to Onox.
"One last thing. Don't panick or get angry if I got killed."
Onox nodded before reluctantly leaving his boss behind. The Zoroark then looked at his mane.
"Ya know what they says. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor, yadda, yadda. Eyahahahaa!"
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."

Dave smiles at Bale and Mr. Godzilla as he waves back at them.
"Well, it's been a while since I was last in here. But hey, never be too pessimistic, eh? Besides, I'm not called 'the Assassin' for nothing."
At Scipion, he merely blankly stares at him, clearly not impressed by the Zoroark's antics.

Attention! Attention! This is MC King Kong Mushi here with an announcement: The Nominator Games are going to start soon, so buckle up and get ready to go!
Gargan flew into the viewing room as 1st Prize simply drove in. Chefinoff was cooking in his Chef's Quarters and the Viruses were still in their jar. The Lastest Nyanmurai dropped in from the ceiling and Hinozall teleported in.

Chuckling at Power's... enthusiastic answer to 6k1's question and rolling his eyes at Scipion's cackling, he exits the Den-Liner and marches up to his podium.
"Hmmm... was kinda hoping to see an alternate me rolling up to a podium, but at least now I have yet another reason to do better than last time. Anywho, best of luck to y'all."

"So, I'll pilot our ship to The Arena so we can watch the Troper Games, which apparently have an alternate version of Minato here as one of the contestants."

The five of them climbed into Daroach's ship, and took off towards the Arena to see the Troper Games.
The Arena
A couple of days later, they landed at the Arena, and saw the alternate version of Minato.
"Well, I do hope the alternate of me wins."
"This will be... intruiging. As well, there may be some goods that I can steal."
"Are you seriously going to try to steal stuff in every location we're going to go to?
"Of course."
"...Did I recruit a kleptomaniac on the team to defeat the biggest threat to the multiverse?"
"You just recruited all of us because we were the first people you came across. You have no one to blame but yourself."
"True..."
"Can we watch this already?"
Arrival
Tabby seems puzzled by the sudden stop but understood Momotaros. She then gulped when they said they’ll be heading to the arena next. She prayed that she land as an HOFer or she’ll be doomed to die again. She took Dave and Scipion into account for people to watch out for. She knows she’ll won’t be in control of her yet again. All she can do is to accept this.
"Oh my lord,great. I can’t wait to die again. "
"Calm down,Tabs."
"Okay,I feel like I need a break from this."
