Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Needless to say, both Lucemon and Medusa's army dealt quickly with the Centurions taken by surprise. Even if Pit managed to take down a lot of minions by himself, he couldn't fight the 2 combined armies. Soon enough, him and Palutena were captured.
"At long last... Once we're done here, I advise we stay out of the picture until the time being." she said before entering the main temple, reeady to exact her revenge on Palutena for good.
Expedition Society's headquarters
"So you're leaving? Good luck. But me, after I crossed path with the Fox of death, those weird aliens and the Ember Empress, I intent to stay here. FOREVER." the Cinderace said, too scared to go outside.
On the exit's way, James politely greeted a Lilligant and even kissed her on her hand like a gentleman.
"What are you doing?" Aaron sighed.
"Just greeting yet another one of my previous conquest."
"Another conquest?"
"Why yes. You should know many female Pokemons are attracted by my intellect."
"He's a womaniser" Arthur interrupted.
"Erm... Yes. But I am a respectful one. You just have to see how she greeted me, we have a good relationsh-." the Inteleon said embarassed.
"Whatever. No one cares about that." Tokage sighed, more than annoyed. "Let's get this mission over with."
Panem
"Really? They've purged their ranks? That'll make things easier for us when they'll attack us." Scipion laughed mockingly.
"They may have started this already. I've heard they were going to attack someone. I think it's a nominator named Mr. Bale, but that's it."
"Ah yes, Bale. Pretty sure he should handle these clowns anyways." Scipion said, looking at the arena and still waiting for the season.
Unknown to them, a tall feminine figure was watching them, smoking a cigarette.
"This seems to be a valuable job..." she sighed. She then jumped away.
Meanhile, Giegue and Mewtwo arrived at Panem and started to discuss how to fight the Legion.
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."

Bale was held up by Bill and the other High Commands.
Bill: I'm interested in you, Mr. Bale. I gotta tell you put up a fight during our torture but you fell anyways. And all your equipment is gone.
Nightmare: Let's use him as bait. The other Nominators won't abandon one of their own.
He was then put unconscious by Bill and thrown into a jail cell.
Prisoner
The wrecked base's jail cell where Bale was held was seen getting guarded by 2 villains... Dark Matter Swordsman and Audrey II.
Audrey II: Nothing to do, nothing but guarding this fool.
The Swordsman didn't answer, merely making a noise resembling a growl.
Audrey II: Goddamn freak you are.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."
Kirby
Dedede's Base
King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee are preparing for a quest. They pack their stuff, including some weapons, and leave their newfound base.
The Winter's End
The cinnamon roll from earlier hides in the cafe. He hides below one of the tables.
Outside, King Dedede and Bandana Dee arrive, asking if anyone's in.

"I'm here, but the rest of our staff are still busy reviving Forte. Anyway, feel free to have a stay and order some drinks."
Dark Ribbon opens the cafe's door for the guests.

Bale's base
Drawcia and Zira were also choosen to guard the wrecked base.
"I honestly can't wait for your little friends to show up, so that we can finish them off. Their screams will be... such a wonderful lullaby." the lioness mocked.
"I don't know why the High Command wants you alive asides from serving as a bait. Maybe you are not what you seems to be? In any case, I can't wait for our ultimate victory." The mad witch added.
Suddenly, the alarm ringed. An intruder just invaded the place.
"Oh? It seems our guests are already here... Drawcia, use the radio to warn the High Command of this. Dark Matter, you're coming with me and Audrey... just do your job and make sure that miserable brat doesn't move from his cell." Zira commanded.
Mountain
Eventually, the group of Pokemon reached the place where the Cinderace said the "aliens" were.
"Let's split up. We'll investigate here while you two go to the village."
"Excuse me? I don't remember you being nominated as the leader of this mission."
"But this way, we'll be more efficient. So get going, please." Aaron growled, annoyed by Jame's snarky attitude. James rolled his eyes and followed his partner to the village while the Rescue Squad were investigating the place.
"Well darn. I don't know if what that Cinderace said was true, but can't find anything here." Alex said, perplex at the absence of clue.
"Nothing on my side as well. Aaron, try to use your aura to see if there is anything suspicious here."
Aaron nodded and started to concentrate.
"I see... something. A... A sort of weird crystal. But I can't tell where it is exactly or why it's here."
"Wait, you can't just tell where that thing's located?"
"No. I guess my aura isn't strong enough yet. But the Cinderace mentionned that these aliens have buried something in the area for unknown reasons. Maybe we should put this area into constant monitoring, just to be sure." Aaron conclued.
"I agree. Well, if there's nothing left to do, I suggest we join the Blue Wings."
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."

Audrey turned to Dark Matter.
Audrey II: Ya heard em', get going eyeballs!
The Dark Matter being didn't say a word and floated off with Zira to find the intruder. Audrey then turned to face the now barely conscious Bale, touching his face with one of his vines.
Audrey II: Don't make an angry face with me, son. I ain't in the mood for that!
He then wrapped a few vines around his legs.
Audrey II: The High Commands want you alive, but they never said you had to be in one piece, hehe.
He then began to try and tear them off.
Audrey II: Get ready to bite it, pretty boy.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."

King Dedede then gets in and orders some drinks. He then asks.
"We're on our way to help a friend."
"He's being captured by the Legion! Can you help us?"
Suddenly, the cinnamon roll emerged from beneath a table.
"Whoa! Hey there, little guy, what's your name?"
"He looks friendly!"

The Winter's End, Underground Facility
As King wakes up from her dream, Ribey has completely restored Forte."Commander, I've restored her back in one piece. If you need a nurse to heal anything, call me, I'll be waiting."
"Thanks. You've done a great help."
"When I'm trying to cure her, I always feel that she's different to ordinary humans. But at the same time, she's not a machine. What is she?"
King opens the capsule and takes out Forte from it. She then explains to Ribey about Forte's past.
"She's one of those lab-grown clone replicas created by the Neon Quarters. You can say that she's a prototype Nyto, just without the cybernetic bits. The Quarters created her as a covert operation unit, made to blend with the crowd and carry out terrorist attacks. But she deserves better than that."
"You mean this girl... is an enemy?"
"She would've become one if I wasn't having a recon mission to investigate the Quarters on behalf of a nameless client. When I thought I would've been killed by one of the Quarter's men, I've inserted a blue gem issued by my clinet into what I thought was a robot's body, she suddenly wakes up and incapacitates the guards non-lethally using a prop sabre. When I look closer to her, she turns out to be a living being who really looks like Miss Miki, just much cooler. Since she has lost most of her memories, so... I decided to adopt her. To sum up, she's not Miss Miki as we know, but at the same time, she indeed is Miss Miki, as reckless as she was."
"And what does that serial number "NSM-01F on the capsule mean?"
"My wish to give Miss Miki a normal life, free from the curse of being inhuman things like I am, free from bearing guilts, free to live a normal life."
Just when King is about to speak out more details about the serial code, Forte finally wakes up from her week-long sleep. Feeling relieved, King gives Forte a brief hug.
"...where ...where am I?"
"...Miss Miki, I'm glad you're okay. Please don't be that reckless next time."
"Was I really that reckless?"

Tabby sends out a message to all of the nominators bar Zorua and Bale.
"Since I finally got Moonlight Cookie to cancel the mission and redirect it to the villains helping those in need,I need to tell the others something."
"Hello everyone,you guys are probably wondering why I'm messaging you this. I've come up with the conclusion that the Legion captured Bale for bad purposes. Y’all might want to start a rescue mission for him but that's what they want! I've thought from a villain's perceptive of this for hours,they're using him as bait so they can ambush us! I've seen this in the movies I watch. Now,you all shall be using this time to prepare for a siege.Get your tributes who are loyal to you into fighting shape! Getting Bale back should the least important thing on our list right now. Please stay safe during this time."
After Tabby finishes that message up,she sends a private message to 6k1.
"Hey Sixty,after you’re done training,do you want to battle one on one with me? I won’t use my powers."
From Afar
Noire and Akumo watch Noire's psychic view that is projected in-front of them."Huh,looks like the Legion of Doom is taking the final step of their master plan."
"Gonna say,quite impressive. They even captured a nominator!"
"Is it Tabby? I would love to be her head torturer."
"No,it's Bale."
"That fucking nerd?! Phooey..."
"I’m disappointed too. But,It seems that they are going to attack the other nominators and possibly capture or murder them."
"Good,good. I have a idea."
"I don't like what you are thinking."
"WE MAKE A ALLIANCE WITH THEM GODDAMMIT!"
"I could possibly reveal the location to Tabby's base for them and she'll make a easy capture for them. Terminus will be proud."
"I’m not sure Terminus will be proud of you associating with them since they were formed by a nominator but this could work once we or them capture her and successfully get her under our influence. She’s still a child surrounded by magic and technology.
"I would gladly love to help them to end the reign of the Nominators and see that I won’t disappoint Terminus."
"Now,Noire. Use your telepathy to speak to one of the High Commands about our knowledge of the nominators and our permission to form an alliance."

"Finally... Time for the Bloodbath to start." Scipion smirked as the season began.
"Bloodbath? I can see some blood. But where's the bath, boss?"
Scipion sighed. Of course Onox didn't knew anything at all about the Games. The fact that he was a moron didn't helped either.
"It's just an expression. The Bloodbath is where all the tributes are gathered. It's called like that because they usually fight for supplies and since they're all in the same place, there's a lot of death. Speaking of wich..."
Scipion grinned madly as Ridley viciously killed Lo Wang with a hatchet.
"Yes... You're doing great, Rids! EYAHAHAHAAAA!!"
"So that big dragon is your tribute. And the giant crocodile as well?"
"Yup. Giving how bloodthirsty he is, Ridley will certainly be a mass murder-"
Unfortunately for the Zoroark, Ridley immediately died when Dareth shot him in the face, causing the Zoroark to yell madly in frustration.
"Calm down, Mr. Scipion. Mr. Giant Kraid is still alive." Lemmy said, jumping happily.
"Right... He better not fail me." Scipion hissed.
Mystery Dungeon World
On their way to the village, Alex heard a brief high-pitched scream.
"Heh? What was that? Did you heard something? Was that James?"
"Are you sure? I didn't heard anything."
"It must be probably your imagination, if you've heard something, we would have as well."
Alex raised his shoulders and followed his friends to the village where James and Arthur were investigating.
"So, did you find something?"
Arthur silently shook his head. The portal Scipion took earlier was gone.
"Well, I guess that mission is over."
"Yeah. Say James, didn't you screamed before we joined you?"
"Pfft... Why would I? There wasn't any real danger here, you must have dreamed or something. Such a stupid question." the Inteleon answered with his usual cocky attitude. Alex raised an eyebrow but shrugged it off. Lucian should be finished by now so they had no time to waste.
Bale's base
Zira raised an eyebrow upon hearing sounds of explosion and the screams of the minions assisting her and the others to guard Bale. What nominator was actually here?
The lioness growled angrily as a tall figure appeared from the flames. Whatever she was, she was not a nominator at all.
"Who are you? Come and fight us you miserable-"
Zira didn't had the time to finish as the figure rapidly kicked us before clawing at the lioness's belly. The figure then dodged the Dark Matter's sword with an impressive speed, before digging her hand into the monster's eye, greatly injuring it before sending it flying into the wall. Enraged, Zira jumped at the figure from behind, attempting to bite her. Without a word or turning back she took the lioness's muzzle and unleashed flames inside her body, burning it on spot. The flames revealed a tall, female Blaziken with a scar on one of her eye. She was frowning, looking mercilessly as Zira burned.
"Heeheehee!! You're not a nominator! Are you sent by them to get back their precious Bale?" Drawcia mocked as she appeared after warning the High Commands about an intruder invading Bale's base.
"It's not of your buisness." the Blaziken answered coldly.
"In that case, you will become my next masterpiece!" the witch yelled as she and the injured Dark Matter Swordsman combined their attacks. The female Blaziken simply sighed, more annoyed than anything.

The Dark Matter Swordsman stood his ground and slashed at the Blaziken, hoping to slice her in half, he also summoned a bunch of orange orbs around himself to serve as a shield against her attacks. Audrey II saw the alarm and took actionm
Audrey II: Dammit it must the nominators who arrived, I hadn't even tore off your kneecaps yet... Nevermind, we'll finish this later, mister.
Wrapping his vines around Bale, Audrey II began to ran off to a different location to keep Bale from being rescued.

After changing back to her usual attire, thanking K'jal, and saying goodbye to him, 6k1 and Toriel go to the swordfighting school. On the way there, 6k1 receives Tabby's PM and replies:
Oh, it just so happens that I'll be having my sword training next. I'll see if the teacher there can arrange with you to have a sparring match with me as my final test.
She also receives her warning about the "rescue mission".
"Mom..." says 6k1, "tell Asgore to organize a training session for Undyne and the Royal Guard while everyone else stands their ground. I'll order Ally to have both the Library and the Science Center on lockdown."
"But won't you be able to go home after this?"
"We're not locking out anyone per se, it's just that every visitor must go through intense security measures before entering either facility!"
"My child, I think you're overreacting."
"But the Legion of Doom's a major threat now!"
Toriel puts a hand on her daughter's shoulder.
"I know, but there's no need to panic over this..."
She looks 6k1 in the eye.
"While it's good that we're preparing ourselves for a possible siege, we still don't know if we'll be their next target. And even if their most powerful members can break through them, your Library's and Center's defenses should be good enough."
6k1 sighs. "Alright Mom, but I'll still consider the lockdown if things get worse..."
Toriel gives her a loving embrace. "Do not be afraid, my child. I'll pull you to safety if those villains ever attack you."
6k1 returns it. "Thanks Mom... but don't underestimate them. They're far stronger than you."
"I know, but I'll do my best to protect you, no matter what. Anyway, I'll go call Asgore right now."
Power's Home
Power was wincing at Yesss bleeding code after Silver Sonic bites off her hand when the unicorn hears another knock on the door. She lets Miranda in, who warns her about the Legion again, so Power gets her crystal ball and reminds Ichi and Paper to do a security check of his bunker and the Art School, respectively, while she does the same for her home. After doing so, she tells Twilight to have Shining Armor and Flash Magnus train the Royal Guard, and also tell her friends to stand their ground as well. Power then gives Ralsei a heads-up about all of this.
"But what about me? I'm just a healer, remember?"
"True, but you can still defend yourself with your scarf!"
"I know, but I try not to hurt my enemies as much as possible, only KO'ing them if I need to."
"Remember Ral, if you can't fend them off, you can always flee."
He nods. "Gotcha."
"And see if Lancer can train the Royal Guard as well."
He scratches the back of his head and blushes. "Okay, I'll see about that..."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

Mr Godzilla's High-Tail
Flashback: Bale's Capture
Mr. Godzilla snuck out as soon as he could from Bale's Base, running with tears in his eyes as Bale was caught and at the mercy of the High Commands, he felt the need to save him but knew he had no option but to flee to a safe world... He opened a pocket portal gun he snatched in a hurry... He opened a portal at random, figuring out that the Convergence would allow him to transverse worlds easily.
Mr. Godzilla: Worry not Bale, I'll make sure you're saved eventually, but first I must reorganize myself.
After firing the portal gun he entered into the World it led to, which was the World of OKKO. He instantly recognized it by the amount of odd superheroes and villains going about.
Mr. Godzilla: Okay, this universe should be a friendly place for me. All I have to do is buy some supplies and use my portal gun for...
As he was about to speak a cat-like robot stole the gun he had pulled out and ran off. He was slightly startled before realizing he had gotten his device snatched.
Mr. Godzilla: MY GOODNESS A CAT... Wait, she took my portal gun. Hey come back here, you metallic sack of hairballs!
He gave chase to the robot until he found it leading him to... "The former Lord" Boxman, who was still a miserable washout in the streets... He was accompanied by his Boxbots and Fink, who had all equally gotten the boot from TKO and Venomous after their alliance with the Legion.
Boxman: Nothing to do, but wallow in self-pity my children.
Mr. Godzilla looked at Boxman distraught, he wouldn't lie about the guy being a jerk. But watching him all alone and as a wreck made him feel empathy for his situation. He could deduce his company had gotten cheated out of him. Perhaps absorbed by the Legion. He then saw the cat-like robot deliver the gun to Boxman.
Boxman: What's that you got there, Mikayla? A portal gun you say?
She nodded. Mt. Godzilla at first wanted to simply steal it back, but upon remembering that Boxman was once a member of the Legion he got an idea.
Boxman: THIS IS GREAT! I can use this gun to summon an army of evil robots to get revenge on TKO and Venomous and recover my company... Also stop their nefarious plan.
Mr. Godzilla: Hey, you. That's my portal gun. Get your own!
Boxman: I cannot, I am unemployed.
Mr. Godzilla: Hey, wait. I know who you are. You're Lord Boxman. Former CEO of Boxmore.
Boxman: Wait, who told you I was the former CEO?
Mr. Godzilla: I... Could tell it from the fact that you're homeless and because of some other reasons. Nevermind that, I am just going to say a few things about Venomous that might just interest you.
Mr. Godzilla then began talking to Boxman about the Legion's plan and that they should team up with the other heroes of this World to take them down. While also negotiating the portal gun to recover it.

Near the Arena
Still watching the season, Scipion brielfy looked at his Haxorus's head and remembered about 6k1. On the other hand, since Kraid was still alive, he wanted to watch the season live. He decided so send Lemmy with the device he had in his hair, allowing the Koopaling to phone him if necessary. Lemmy happily agreed, created a ball to walk on and made his way to the library with the head, wich was comically bigger than him.
Bale's Base
The Blaziken calmly dodged Drawcia's attack and destroyed the Para Sorceresses she summoned. raised her hand and somehow caught the sword. Despite her hand bleeding, she managed to break it without hesitation before slashing at the Dark Matter's eye again, dodging the orange orbs with extreme precision, making it explode for good this time.
"Hmmm... You are tough. In this case... It's time for you to disappear!" Drawcia cackled as she turned into her Soul form before charging at her. The Ember Empress looked unimpressed, slowly raising one of her leg before kicking the sorceress with it. Drawcia's soul was surprised by how easily she blocked her and prepared to charge gain.
"You're already dead." The Blaziken sighed as she walked away in the direction of Bale's cell.
''"WHAT? We have only jus-" Drawcia didn't had the time to finish as she exploded, turning her into a fiery blob.
"When you'll get to hell, tell them that Freyja, the Ember Empress sent you there. They'll understand." she said without remorse before walking away. Eventually, she reached Bale's cell.

Timothy checks the security cameras and sees Lemmy going to the Library with the belated birthday gift for 6k1. He reluctantly lets him inside.
"Oh my goodness, sir..." He turns his head away from the gift. "Would you mind giving that head to the Science Center's Necromancy Department for preservation? The Database Manager's out for her training, and she wouldn't want to keep that in her basement!"

Lemmy smiled innocently.
"I don't know what Science Center's Necromancy Department means, but okay!" he happily said.
"Training? Lems, give the phone to the human, I want to talk to him." Scipion said at the other side of the phone. The small Koopaling nodded and headed to the Department with the head.
"Hey, you. Relax, I'm not going to visit you anytimes soon, just answer my question. You said that Sixty was "training". Why? I mean it's not like she'll, I dunno, participate into the upcoming nominator season."

Timothy breathes into the phone nervously.

"Hmph. As I've guessed. A waste of time." she sighed. Freyja got up, her leg still trapped by the vines. She violently raised her trapped leg. Her strenght was so great that she was able to lift Audrey's entire body using the vines around her leg, before slamming it on the floor with the plant following soon after.
"Allow me to take you on my own ride. You will enjoy the hell out of it."

"Really? You're right, Mr. Scipion is sometimes very violent... Hmmm... How could I help him doing a nice gift...?" Lemmy asked loudly to himself. He looked at the head, and got an idea. He took his wand before unleashing a small yellow fireball at it, turning it into a sort of big, rubber, bouncy balloon version of it. He thanked Dr. Phoenix and rushed with his 2 balloons to get the phone back.
"Mr. Scipion! I turned the head into a nice, clean ball!"
"You WHAT?"
"Yes! I've been told that Ms. 6k1 will not like it like that. So I made a friendlier version of it!"
Scipion groaned. Of course she wouldn't like it, no matter how valuable it was in his world. What was he thinking?
"Ugh... fine. I don't think a balloon will be very useful to her. Maybe give it to her pet?"
