Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

After 6k2 answers, Dedede then tells her this.
"It's me, Dedede! I heard from Magolor that one of our friends, Tabby, left or something. I figured that we'd be running short of Voidlands explorers after all that, so i'm joining your expedition!"
Bandana Dee says "I'm going too!"
Kirby then jumps for joy. Ribbon then continues.
"If we're running short, maybe i, Kirby, Bandana Dee, Meta Knight, and Dedede can join your Voidlands expedition. How about that? We're used to these kinds of stuff, after all."
Kirby nods in approval.

"Well, if Frisk was able to snap Azzy out of calling them 'Chara', then why not me? Still, I hope Dave shows up in the next Nominator Games, as it'd feel weird if he doesn't. But if he doesn't for whatever reason, then I hope he's doing well, wherever he is."
Power reminisces the time when Dave comforted her during Snow's party. She might not be as close to him as 6k1 is, but he certainly was a good friend. She smiles and her ears perk back up.
"Ich... it's been a while since we last hung out together! Do you wanna go out with me to the park tomorrow? In Panem? Just to have a little stroll and chitchat?"

6k2's eyes shrink when Dedede delivers the sad news about Tabby.
"She... left? Maybe she just retreated to her base and is living a happy life with Noire, but it's unusual for her to suddenly close her school and stop nominating! But still, wherever she is, I'm hoping for the best for her."
She then just realized that Loki's a Death Battle contender, and she hopes that he does well despite his nominator's departure.
"But I still hope Akumo won't harm us in the trip! And speaking of which, I'm allowing all of you to join, but on one condition: that the kids must stay close to me even if they can fight! And if Meta Knight's going, I hope he doesn't forget to bring Lucina!"
She laughs to herself, wondering how this version of MK will react.
"Anything else? Because I have to go to the Science Center to send my Death Battle contenders to the Arena!"

"Oh Celestia... sorry that that happened to you, Ich... but our walk in the park can cheer you up! I'll let you know when we're ready to go, alright? Anyway, I'll continue watching the season! See ya!"
Power's Art School
Paper watches as Dot challenges Dr. Alex to a cup-shuffling game while Phoebus takes after his wife in claiming to be the "roughest, toughest varmint in the Arena". She folds her ears when he chickens out right after saying that, but thankfully King talks him out of suicide.
"Well, I can't blame him, considering his outing in his last season..."
Meanwhile, Dot questions how Rubber Band manages to produce infinite chocolate from a chocolate bar.
"As Princess of Ant Island, we know that food is scarce, that's why we have to work hard during the harvest season! And while Flik taught us how to make our jobs easier, there's no way we can make unlimited food like that!"
Paper nods in agreement, recalling that she can't create unlimited food either through her art magic, as she can't make them taste like the real deals. She then ponders on the announcement of the School for the Arts' shutdown, then writes to Billy that after further discussion with her staff, she wants to expand the school to cover fields besides visual arts, particularly Drama, Dancing, and Film, as she thinks that someone else will put up a Music School in its place while the Fanfic School already covers Writing.
And if any of your tributes would like to work for us in those fields, then we're looking forward to their résumés!

Kirby and the group then leave.
Near the Database Library
Kirby and his friends are outside, when Kirby gets hit by a snowball. It's Ness, who is playing with the Chosen Four and Tracy.
"Oh, hi, Ness! What's up?" said Ribbon.
"We're playing snowball! Wanna join, Ribbon?"
"We're going on a feast in Mr Star's tonight."
"Oooh, a feast? That sounds nice! Can i come? I'll get my mom!"
"Sure, why not?"

Flashback: The Database Library, Entrance Hall <—> The Science Center, pre-S139
"Okay, safe trip and have fun!"
Once Dedede and co. had left, 6k2 went to the Science Center's Station of Multiversal Travel. With the help of Perri, she greeted Dot and Phoebus as they stepped out of their portals and then led them to a new room of the Tribute Research Lab. Claire fitted the three of them with custom earpieces so that the 6k1 and Phoebus could hear Dot while their voices couldn't destroy her hearing.
They entered the room, which housed the Cloning Capsule, and Dan and his crew were halfway done with its structure. 6k2 explained to Phoebus and Dot its functions and asked them if they want to use it the next time they're nominated.
"Yes, I would like have myself cloned with this strange machine that you're building," said Phoebus. "As a knight, it's in my code of honor to protect my people, and killing innocents would be going against it."
Dot stood up from 6k2's fingertip and hovered from it.
"I'm a proud Warrior Bug, just like the Circus Bugs, and if we were able to fend off the grasshoppers, then I can defend myself in the HUUUUUGE Arena!"
"Are you sure about that?" asked 6k2. "You're still a kid, and well... there are WAY more dangerous threats in the Arena than grasshoppers..."
Dot crossed her arms. "Okay... I'll have myself cloned for my safety."
"Alright... good luck to both of you!"
"We'll do our best!"
"And we will give you the best treatment and send you home after the season!"
6k2 led her tributes outside the Center and saw them off to the Arena before returning to the Library.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon World
Some days passed with the Fiery Blue Wings traveling towards the Great Canyon, with Clyde and co. discreetly following them. Eventually, one night, the rescue team camped on a quiet hill to rest. The three Pokémons were sitting on logs around a campfire.
"Curses... It seems we are out of food... I did not expect the travel to be this long. My apologies." James said to his companions
"I'll go hunting for something, then. I trust you two will be fine while I'm gone." Arthur sternly muttered, getting up.
"As always. Good luck, then." James said, winking.
The Decidueye discreetly smiled towards James before silently taking flight, leaving the two others alone.
"Yawn... While we are waiting Nick, I would like to ask. Why exactly did you wish to join our glorious team?"
"Well... Help people, obviously. But that's obvious. It's the main reason most of us are rescuers, asides from money and recognition maybe... There are also... Ermm... Personal reasons, but I don't want to to talk about it."
"You are certainly correct. I have to admit that I became a rescuer also because I wished to be famous. And it's alright. Everyone has their... little secrets, Hehe..." James answered, chuckling playfully. Nick did the same before sighing.
"Y'know, I have to admit that I didn't expect you to be so friendly to me." he said, rubbing his ears.
"I suppose you expected something a bit more... "Smugish"?" James asked sternly. Nick lowered his head in embarrassment, making James snicker.
"Oh, do not feel bad about that. Such are the downsides of being an awesome, classy, and respectful gentleman as I am, but you are a member of our team, so I behave more nicely. And as rare as they are, my detractors do call me that. I even read one newspaper when I was described as an, I quote, "asshole"."
"That's mean. What happened to whoever wrote that article?"
"Well... Arthur managed to track the Pokémon down... And you don't wish to know how this story ended. And I am talking about something that would almost rival the Fox of Death's crimes." James whispered shaking his head.
"Wow... Then I won't try to imagine anything, then! I mean, wow." Nick nervously laughed.
"Yes... Arthur can be downright terrifying if you happen to be on his bad side. Nevertheless, he is a loyal companion. But I admit that having someone like you around is not terrible either."
"Oh! I-I mean really? I should feel honored..."
"Oho, I guess... You are not as brash and stupid as a certain ruffian with a hat I know... And your optimism makes for a nice addition to my team. Truly, I am glad to have you around."
"Thanks... I'm glad too, James." Nick said before the two shared a laugh.
Not far away, Clyde's group was trying to come up with a strategy.
"Ugh... Finally they stopped moving... Seriously is that because they're rescuers that they have to walk days and nights with so little rest? I don't want to become a ghost, but you two are lucky because... Ugh... You can't be tired..." Edgar grumbled.
"Now they are two instead of three. Maybe we should attack before Arthur comes back." Clyde suggested.
"I dunno. Freddy? Thinking you can take two of them at one time?"
"Excuse me my fluffy friend, but why me only?"
"Because, genius, you are the only one who can put a decent fight!"
"Hmmm... Maybe... But I am not sure... But I can try if you insist..." Freddy said in a pensive state.
"Ugh... We can't attack if we're sure you aren-"
Suddenly, Edgar and Clyde heard some noises from a small cave near them. Some hissings and roars. Edgar smirked as he turned to Clyde.
"Hey, boring cloth. Heard what I have heard?"
"I did." Clyde answered, in his usual neutral tone.
"Thinking what I am thinking?"
"I don't know. I am not a mind reader, Edgar."
"T-T...! You're supposed to say yes you bird-brain!" Edgar hissed.
"But... You are a bird as well." Clyde answered, not realizing what he just said.
"GEHEHEHEHEHE!!! WHAT A ROAST!!" Freddy loudly cackled. Edgar beak's opened wide to protest, but he did his best to ignore Freddy's laugh.
"You're all stupid..."
"Hmm... Not that I am thinking about it... There are wild Pokémons in there. I think I understand now. You want to lure them to the Fiery Blue Wings' camp..."
"And have them fight for us... Yes... Perhaps bird-brain should have a positive meaning when it comes to you!"
"Hehehe... Glad we are finally on the same line... You two use your ghost powers to lure them towards the camp. I can't burry into the ground so I can't accompany you."
"Are you not helping because you cannot go past walls, or because you are afraid?" Clyde asked, once again roasting Edgar unintentionally.
"Y-You... What kind of question is that?? I came up with that idea first, so you two go and lure them!!" the Murkrow protested, sulking.
"Gehehe!! He is not helping for both reason, of course!!" Edgar cackled towards Clyde, who simply nodded in response.
"Seriously stop, you cretins!!" Edgar shrieked.
"Calm down now, Edgar. We are merely teasing you! You still are a grea-"
Edgar got interrupted as three wild Pokémons went out of the cave. One Pinsir, one Yanmega, and one Scolipede were looking ferociously at the trio.
"O-Oh... Shit, they've heard us."
"Don't worry. Just fly away to safety and we take care of this, as you planned." Clyde said.
Edgar rolled his eyes, but nodded and flew away, disappearing into the night.
"Now then, Clyde. Are you ready???" Edgar asked, showing his long tongue to the small ghost.
"Yes sir." Clyde answered, looking without expression at the wild insects who charged towards them.
"In this insane place, love is all that stands between us and the great beyond."
"See ya, Pow-Pow."

While 6k1 is busy teaching Mimi basic commands like "sit", "stay", and "follow me", 6k2 returns to her office to watch the season. While Dot swears at Jimmy while arguing with him about consoles, Phoebus challenges Barney to a duel and swings the blunt end of his sword at him. Saxton Hale just looks at Barney, dumbfounded, as the latter falls to the ground.
"Do not worry, sir," says Phoebus, "for I merely incapacitated him. That's what I learned during my lessons with Sir Tableturner."
He then goes his own way and runs into King the next day. He kneels before him and thanks him for what he did the other day.
"But I am curious as to how you were able to convince me to keep going in this battle. Are you both a hunter and a doctor?"
"I like to think I'm a doctor with a license to kill!"
Phoebus glares at King's response, and they both get into a heated argument over it that lasts into the night. Phoebus tries to remain civil, but King flies into a fit of rage and runs away. The former sighs and shakes his head as he walks away.
Meanwhile, Dot screams as Belome chases her into some puddles. For her, it's like running away from tsunamis, but when she gets cornered, she tries defending herself by splashing water back at him. Dot screams again as Belome somehow melts away, and she flies away and searches for food when the sun rises, only for Mepps and Snout to scold her for slicing bagels like loaves of bread.
"I don't fucking care!" she yells at them. "I'm just so tired and hungry from running away from that dog!"
Meanwhile, Phoebus shakes his head in confusion when Alternate Europe somehow insults and compliments him at the same time. He then gives the CIV III Bomber an overdue library book as a gift, much to 6k2's chagrin.
"Why didn't you tell me after your last season?!"
As for Dot, she tries getting another job, but screams again as she somehow distorts reality, causing an insect-sized lion, tiger, and bear to maul her the next day. Phoebus, meanwhile, is tricked into painting a fence for a monetized YouTube video.
6k2 feels a pang in her chest, remembering why YouTube itself was retroactively given the Mass Murderer title, but shakes that off and greets Billy a happy birthday before calling Dupe over to follow her to Mimi's room.

Eye-Sicle's Lair
(Before hitting the hay, Eye-Sicle sees that the Death Battle season is over and quickly gets two tributes lined up for this themed season, then goes to brush his teeth.)
(When he comes back and checks his communicator, however, he notices a curious fact: One of the two has been mysteriously switched out for a different tribute, a large purple gargoyle he doesn't recognize. On the one hand, now both the tributes share a common theme (this purple one with the weird pink one), but on the other...yeah, he doesn't appreciate someone going behind his back and switching a tribute out without telling him.)
(Stanford is getting ready to call it a night and get into bed himself when Eye-Sicle suddenly roaring at him through the intercom in his quarters causes the small fox to jump out of his skin.) STANFORD!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING SWITCHIN' OUT MY TRIBUTES?!
S-Sir, I-I did no such thing! I didn't even realize a season was starting. (Stanford replies once he's able to breathe again.)
Well if you didn't switch 'em out, then who did?

(In a parallel New York City within a castle that sits higher than any other structure in the large metropolis, a mysterious man sits at a desk looking very pleased with himself.)

In the town of Mitakihara, snow falls as morning starts in the town. The various inhabitants are starting their business for the day.

. As she walks, the black lizard from earlier watches them from afar. The black lizard seems happy, though in a somewhat melancholic way.

"Aaaand... sit!"
As soon as Mimi puts her fuzzy rear on the floor, 6k1 presses the button on her clicker. The DM then kneels down to pet her and give her a sticker.
"Good girl! Now that you've mastered the sit command, we'll proceed to another essential command: stay."
Mimi tries her best to stay still, but she starts fidgeting around.
"But I wanna go to the park and see Arky already!"
"That'll be tomorrow, be patient! And you have to learn these commands because you're growing up!"
"Okay, okay..."
Just before 6k1 could start the next part of the training, 6k2 enters the room with Dupe.
"So how's the training?"
"So far so good, though Mimi got kinda distracted even with the most basic command of all."
"I think you should remove those toys lying over there!"
"Hehe, right... I'll go lock them away."
Mimi pouts as her owner does so and then merges with her clone. Dupe raises his hand to ask if he can be "trained" as well.
"I know you wanna support your sister," says 6k1, "but for now, you should just watch us, as we need to concentrate."
He nods in understanding and goes to the corner. 6k1 then checks her phone.
"On second thought, let's take a short break, then we'll get back to training after I nominate my next tributes."
She lets Mimi sit with her and Dupe and watches the rest of the season. Phoebus leaves a comment on the same video from earlier: To whoever made this, if you were drowning, I would not lend a hand.
"Yeesh..." says 6k1, "what's gotten into you? I get that you were tricked, but you vowed to follow your honor code..."
She then wonders if Phoebus's tech knowledge from his lessons with TT carried on here as he ends up triggering the season's credits with his newly built space station. After the Gamemakers rewind the season, Phoebus violates his code and threatens to kill Jimmy "and the night!"
"I don't think he atoned for his sins after all!"
"Did you wipe his memories of his last season?" asks Mimi.
"No, because I was confident that he would!"
"Oh... I think you should've done so..."
"Maybe... but this is why he wants to be data cloned..."
6k1 explains to Mimi about it while watching Phoebus transform into the very kind of monster he hunted in Season 131 thanks to WINNER spiking his drink with Nightmare Fuel. Piao Piao then curses him with hives, King echoes Phoebus's YouTube comment to him, and WINNER makes a YTP of his adventures, prompting Phoebus to leave an angry, incomprehensible comment.
Mimi curls up into a ball. "Oh... Good thing you're building that cloning machine, then!"
"Yep, since he'll be back for the Battle Royale."
6k1 cringes as WINNER gets into a fight with the eldritch Phoebus by trying to transform him, but he slinks away and leaves a Phoebus-shaped ice cream in his place and puts a robot helmet on himself. He then kills Snow on the train, but King and the Blade-Wielding Hero find out and shoot and slash him.
6k1 gently strokes Mimi and sighs in relief, as she was low-key hoping that Phoebus would get the 4th Place Curse so she won't have to clone him twice. However, she just realized that BWH made the podium instead, and she cringes as Kylo Ron and Yuliy Jivon Bon Bon flash in her mind.
"What can they do? Delaying the BR just to replace the duplicate will mess up the season schedule in the long run..."
She shrugs it off and does the usual, then calls Túlio to discuss with him about a certain pair of Spix's macaws.
"Anemone dear, I know you want to be more independent from me, but... please take care, okay?"
Niiue
Distortion World
Quickly after the season ended, Scipion immediately nominated his tributes.
"Revali and Falco Lombardi... Correct me if I am wrong Scips, but these are heroes. I thought you wanted instead to nominate that gargoyle, Firebrand or even Ridley. I guess you want to clone them?" Morgan asked.
"Not this time. I know how to convince the 2 birds to serve as my tributes." Scipion said, grinning.
Eventually, the Zoroark managed to bring the 2 tributes here, although it was clear both were reluctant.
"What nonsense is this? I have better things to do than listening to the likes of you, Zoroark." Revali sternly asked.
"Hehe, why so serious, little bird? I summoned you to participate in the Hunger Games." Scipion explained.
"So not only do you drag us here without our consent, but you also want us to participate in a killing game? You've got some nerves." Falco snarled, crossing his arms. Scipion rolled his eyes.
"Listen. Each of you wants to be the best, right? That's an opportunity you can't refuse. I'm sure there will be powerful tributes participating. Imagine if you beat them!"
"Hmph. The thing is, I know you are playing us... But you are right. Why not? As long as we can leave as soon as this is over."
"Seconded." Revali added.
Scipion smirked. But as his tributes were about to leave, they received the complete tribute list.
"That stupid newcomer? I'll make sure to put him back in his place." Falco said about Sephiroth.
"A warrior from a parallel dimension... This may be interesting. I hope that you too will provide me some challenge." Revali said about Volga before turning to Falco.
"Don't test me." the pilot replied, smirking. The champion smirked back and both left. Scipion just stared at the list, especially at the names of 2 tributes.
"Who's the damn idiot who dared to...? Gah! I hope dad won't find out about that..." he muttered to himself, cringing at the sight of every Mythical and Legendary Pokémons.
"In this insane place, love is all that stands between us and the great beyond."

Psyche's Fanfic School – Principal's Office
Why do I feel like I'm losing friends...? Psyche wonders as she stares dejectedly at her computer screen, having crash-landed into a wall of writer's block. She's thinking of everything but the Kuzusouda fanfic she's trying to write. And it sucks.
I don't think I even have that many friends... do I? It's not like I leave this school much, or even email my friends as often as I probably should...
She feels compelled to get in touch with 6k1 to see how she's doing, so she opens up her email program and types out an email:
Hey 6k1, it's me. I'm just wondering how you've been doing lately. I've been suffering a lot of writer's block these days, and idk, I just need something to do. Oh yeah, how's Mimi doing? I should come visit sometime.
She sends it, feeling relieved to get in contact with someone.

"Sim, 6k1," says Túlio, "this Cloning Capsule of yours sounds promising, especially since data cloning will help in wildlife conservation!"
"Yes, and Alphys estimates that this should be done after this coming season!"
"That's great! Now do you mind if Blu and Jewel talk to you for a moment?"
"Sure thing."
6k1 hears the flapping of wings on the other end.
"Hey there..." says Blu, "Jewel and I heard your discussion about data clones, and both of us would like to be cloned once that machine's done."
"While both of us can fend for ourselves in the Amazon," adds Jewel, "we still have to take care of our chicks. We'll leave them with their Pop-Pop and Great Auntie Mimi, but they can't be there for them all the time, you know?"
"Right, they're busy with their duties as chief and advisor of the clan. Anyway, good luck to both of you!"
"We'll do our best!" says the bird couple, relieved that they won't be chained together this season.
"And Jewel dear," says Blu, "if I die first, promise me that you'll try winning this season for me, okay?"
"I'll try, sweetie, but you've gotta promise me that too if I die first, okay?"
"Okay, I promise!"
6k1 hears their beaks knocking against each other, followed by the warping sound of the portals being summoned for them. Túlio gets back to her after a while.
"Alright, they're off to the Arena! Anything else?"
"Well..." she rolls her eyes, "did you get my text from like 28 seasons ago?"
"You mean after Season 112?"
"Yes, but then I had to go on a mission, so apologies if I missed your reply!"
Túlio laughs. "Don't worry, you didn't miss anything! I was the one who missed your text because I was busy with the bird sanctuary as always! Squawk squawk!"
6k1 also laughs. "Anyway, if you don't mind me asking... what exactly led you to go to Scipion's 'school'?"
"Oh... that? Well..." he chuckles nervously, "while I was going cuckoo with power, Azama showed me a picture of Fira and told me that she had a 'smoochable' face. I was perplexed at that, since of course, I'm already married, but I still wanted to know who that lady was and what she was up to."
"I see... so what did you do?"
"I approached her one night and asked her why she killed that funny-looking purple monster. She said it was for a viral video, and apparently she had an agenda against his boss!"
"What do you mean?"
"She killed not only that monster, but also his partner-in-crime. What were their names again?"
"Onox and Morgan. They're both Pokémon, by the way, but that's beside the point."
"Funny how the pink gremlin had a normal-sounding name, but still, those two were working for Scipion, and Fira asked me to visit his school and give him a piece of my mind. I objected to it, of course, but Fira kept pushing me to go through with the plan, and that's when things went off the rails!"
6k1 gasps. "I'm so sorry that happened, but that's so long ago already. I'm sure Fira also apologized for that since outside the Arena, she's a really kind lady, but Scipion and his cronies are not to be trusted, alright?"
"Don't worry, I'll write back to my past self to warn him just that!"
"Great! Thanks for telling me about this!" She smiles.
"Sem problemas, 6k1! I'll go back to researching about birds, so once again, good luck to Blu and Jewel!"
She ends the call and texts Dave about Túlio, but she was about to send it when she receives another message from... Psyche?!
Hey there! she replies, thanks for checking in on me, I'm doing just fine! I didn't do much besides celebrate the holidays and talk with my family, and right now I'm training Mimi for our walk in the park tomorrow! Wanna come with me? It'll be a change of pace from your usual routine, but it's okay if you wanna stay behind.
6k1 thinks of inviting Dave over as well, but he's probably busy with other matters, especially since he hasn't nominated for quite some time. She feels another pang as the change in the last Death Battle's roster comes back to her, however, but she holds onto her Heart Locket and shakes away that thought.
I don't know why, Psyche, but things have gotten quieter since that seminar yesterday. It's prolly normal for you since you stay holed up in your Fanfic School most of the time, but for me, it just feels... strange. Maybe it's because I've been going out more often, or I'm just not talking to my friends that often outside social gatherings...
She then just had a bright idea.
Psyche... perhaps I should start chatting with you more often from here on out, just like Ichi and Power. It's no wonder that their bond has remained strong to this day. Even with my assistants, it gets lonely in the basement, so even just talking about our favorite tributes will make me smile! :)

As he was talking with James, Nick raised his ears as he heard something. Without warning, he pushed James out of the way as the wild Yanmega attempted to ram into him. The duo then saw the large insect flying back to where the Scolipede and the Pinsir were.
"What? Well, shit, savage Pokémons and they don't look very happy... I guess they've heard us..." Nick grumbled before helping James to get up. When the Cinderace asked his leader if he was okay, he saw his face becoming pale as he stared at the trio of savage insects.
"...Bugs... Why bugs of all things?" he complained.
"Wait... You are scared of bugs?"
"Wait, is he scared of bugs?"
"Uuuh... I think you should keep quiet and that we should leave..."
"Did you heard something?" Nick asked.
"No. And frankly, I am not at all in the mood, I think I am going to be sick..." James said, trying to keep his composure. Nick chuckled as the three giant bugs prepared to attack.
"It's alright. I'm sure you dealt with worst, right?"
"Yes... Well, Nick, you know what we have to do. Force them to leave or... Ugh... kill them. Just don't be too gruesome, I do not wish to puke..."
"You're the boss." Nick replied, winking before charging at the Pinsir while the Yanmega and the Scolipede charged at James.
As the Cinderace attempted to kick his opponent, the Pinsir grabbed his leg before it could hit it. The Pokémon then threw Nick on the ground before attempting to bite him. Nick managed to dodge, but the Pinsir immediately restrained him using his horns. Nick growled in pain as the pincers slightly pierced through his hips.
Struggling to get free, Nick quickly gave a glance at James and was amazed by what he saw. The Inteleon gracefully dodged the Yanmega's attacks before shooting him precisely into both of its wings. The Yanmega, now wingless, crawled away from the battle scene as James took on the Scolipede. But unlike the Yanmega, the Scolipede was much more resistant to the projectiles and, despite James using his spiky tail to keep it away, it was starting to get the upper hand.
This inspired Nick as he managed to get free from the Pinsir's grasp. Furious, the creature attempted to attack him with X-Scissor. Nick summoned a Pyro Ball and successfully hurled it at the Pinsir, before immediately ramming into it. Knocked out, the creature was thrown right at the Scolipede as it started to corner James. The Scolipede was distracted long enough for James to use a powerful Hydro Pump on it. Feeling outmatched, it ran away.
"Finally..." James whispered, wiping the sweat out of his forehead before glancing at Nick.
"That was awesome! You defeated that Yanmega so easily!"
"Yes, yes, I know that my skills are great. Perhaps I would have been able to take on the three at the same time. But still... I appreciate your help, Nick."
Nick smiled as bumped his fist with James. But then, the duo heard a faint grunt. They looked in shock at the Pinsir painfully got up, holding what seemed to be a mega-stone...
thud!
In mere seconds, Arthur appeared, seized the Pinsir's head with his talons before it could react, and mercilessly crushed its head, reducing it to a bloody pulp.
"I came back as quickly as I could." The Decidueye sternly said, not caring the slightest about the gory kill he just did.
"I see that you're fine." He continued, raising an eyebrow as Nick cringed at the gruesome sight while James started to puke out of disgust.
"FOR ARCEUS'S SAKE, ARTHUR WHY DID YOU DO THAT IN FRONT OF ME?? James shrieked. Arthur simply raised an eyebrow.
"Again with this shit? Don't fret, you'll be fine." he said, patting James's back.
"Yes, "I'll be fine"! I just won't be able to sleep correctly out of nausea!" James complained. Arthur sighed and discreetly winked at his secret lover, telling him implicitly that he was going to be with him tonight.
"As... gruesome as it was, Arthur's right. Don't get fixated on that." Nick said, taking James's hand to comfort him. Arthur frowned when he noticed this, he always hated when somebody, be it male or female, was too close to James.
"Perhaps you are right... Thank you, both of you."
"You're welcome!" Nick said, happily closing his eyes.
"Now that it's settled, I'll come back to take the food I found to the camp."
"Excellent. What did you find?" James asked, he and Nick smirking.
"Fruits, seeds and fresh meat from a wild Sawsbuck I hunted down."
Nick chuckled as James's hungry smirk was replaced by a disgusted frown.
"Before you ask, no, I made sure it's not too gory for you and yes, we'll cook it. So please, get that stupid face out of my sight."
In the distance, Edgar looked in shock and anger.
"SHIT! They won!" the Murkrow angrily complained.
"They indeed put a great fight." Freddy added, still grinning.
"Freddy, why are you smiling over this? Didn't we just fail?" Edgar asked, with Edgar approving the question.
"GEHEHE!! It means that we will have to try other things to complete our mission! I am sure this will be fun."
"If you insist." Clyde said tilting his head.
"Yeah. Fun for you, that is." Edgar sarcastically muttered.
"In this insane place, love is all that stands between us and the great beyond."

Yeah, I haven't really noticed anything too weird. I don't really keep up with the other nominators like you do… but hey, at least there aren't any villains trying to make our lives a living hell! I'm glad for the peace, honestly.
With that being said, I'm going to try chatting with you more often, too, 6k1. I know I can get pretty restless at big social gatherings like parties and whatnot, so… I think some one-on-one bonding time would be better for me. I'll just happily talk to you about I.N's amazing, but really tragic, arc!

A school of fish-like creatures

"What are those?" asked Ribbon.
"Those are Voidfish. They tend to show up in this time of year." replied Mr. Star.
Ness' mom then compliments Ness. "It's nice for you to be friends with Kirby and Mr. Star!"
"Aww mom, thanks..."
Kirb and friends watch the "fish" school outside with wonder.
Mr. Star then picks up a smartphone-like object. He calls 6k1 with it, asking her what she's up to.

Thanks! I know training her for just one night won't instantly change her, but I hope she'll behave herself tomorrow! And well, other than the League of Evil storming Neon Quarters, Giygas' rampage, OT!Scipion showing himself to us, and Akumo breaking into the Library again, I'm glad that the villains aren't messing with us in the meantime! And sure, we can talk about I.N all night, but I've to go train Mimi right now! See ya!
She then tells Mr. Star about her plans for tomorrow, asking if he'd like to come, too, then picks up Mimi and places her in the middle of the room.
"Now sit!"
The Starble sits down as ordered and watches 6k1 hover the sticker above her. The DM then says "stay!" and takes a few steps backwards. Mimi, however, notices her clutching her locket and floats towards her.
"No Mimi, you need to focus!"
6k1 steps back a few more times as Mimi then deflates herself and latches onto her chest, staring at the locket's rose gold shine.
"No, this is not for eating!" she says as she props Mimi back on the floor, "and since I'm weaning you from your muzzle, think of something else you like to distract yourself from eating things you shouldn't!"
"Anemone dear, I know you want to be more independent from me, but... please take care, okay?"

After weeks of travel, the Fiery Blue Wings finally reached their destination without too much trouble. During this time, James and Nick got closer to each other, seemingly becoming great friends, much to Arthur's annoyance. Of course, he was still in love with James, but he couldn't help but frown when Nick was around his leader.
Oh, there was also Clyde's group who tried to kill the trio by surprise... But each time, it failed miserably. Ridiculous examples would include launching a bomb that exploded on the group because Freddy was too enthusiastic and threw it on the ground, Edgar trying to come up with a plan far too complicated for his partners to follow correctly or Clyde accidentally luring wild Pokémons towards them.
"At long last, we have arrived." James proudly announced to Arthur as Nick was behind.
"Hmph... So what's the plan to find the star fragment?" Arhur dryly asked.
"Hmm... Arthur, I think you should go check the upper parts of the canyon since you can fly. I and Nick will be searching for the fragment in the lower parts"
"And why exactly shouldn't you accompany me? I can carry you, you know." Arthur replied, a hint of anger in his voice, surprising James.
"You know, I have noticed you are more grumpy than usual recently." James said, crossing his arms.
"Pff.... Right..."
"In all seriousness, what's with that insufferable attitude? It is becoming extremely annoying. You are like that ever since Nick joined our team." James said, exasperated. Arthur didn't answer, closing his eyes.
"Is it because you see him as useless to our team? Because if that's the case, I can assure you he is a great new asset-"
"Well, you've been quite close to the newcomer lately. A bit too much, to my taste." Arthur interrupted.
"W-What are you insinuating?" James asked, confused.
"Even if this is not genuine, you like to flirt with females. I hate that. And it's shocking for me to see you becoming friends with this fucking carrot eater this fast. Is there something more to it?" Arthur rudely asked.
"What the... Are you jealous? Why... Just why do you think I would do that? He is just a great companion. There is nothing more! I am sure he isn't even gay!" James protested, revolted and shocked.
"Then why are you spending hours with that idiot?" Arthur said in a more aggressive tone.
"Because I enjoy his company! I love you Arthur, but sometimes, you are really getting on my nerves with your rude behavior! Nick is the complete opposite of you, and I appreciate the changes he brought to our team! And he is a great fan of mine, he told me so! But that's it! I swear there is nothing between us!"
Arthur said nothing, looking at the harsh sun wordlessly for several seconds.
"...If you say so. I trust you. It's just that I have a hard time with your constant flirts... And given how I see you often with that stupid rabbit well..."
"I understand. I know that I behave like a... Arceus forgive me dick from time to time but... I cannot help it. But if that can make you feel better." James said, before genuinely kissing Arthur on his beak, who returned the favor.
"If I ever catch you cheating on me, I swear I am going to hang you with the bastard's entrails" Arthur calmly said after getting out of the kiss. He raised an eyebrow as James looked at him with a worried expression.
"I'm exaggerating. But you've got the idea. Anyway, I'll do as you said. I don't know how much time it will take, but I will be back soon." Arthur said before flying away. Just as he did, Nick put his paw on James's shoulder, startling him.
"NICK???!!! HOW LONG DID YOU-"
"Hey James! Sorry, I just got in now. Why is Arthur leaving?"
"Uh? Uh... W-Well I told him to search for the star fragment in the upper part of the canyon!" James answered, hiding his nervousness.
"Okay... Arthur looked pissed though before he left... Did you argue?" Nick asked.
"Well..."
"Because I've heard you mention me. Was it about me?" The Cinderace interrupted, his smile dropping off.
"Oh... Y-Yes but no! Errmm... It's nothing very important. He... is just a jealous friend, that is all." James nervously lied, biting his lips.
Nick stared blankly at James for a few seconds before regaining his usual happy face again.
"Bah. I'm sure it will be okay. Let's go find that stupid fragment already!" Nick said, wrapping his arms around James's shoulders
"Yes... Let's go find this "stupid" fragment." James sighed, smiling back at Nick.
Back in the distance, Clyde's group entered the Great Canyon and spied on the group.
"What do you think we should do now?" Clyde asked.
"Well maybe with a bomb we could-"
"OH. MY. FORKING. GOD. NO." Edgar interrupted, eyes wide open.
"Oh right. Sorry, Geehehehe!!" Freddy cackled.
"And honestly? Right now I'm tired. I'm tired of always flying, of your stupid plans-"
Edgar stopped when he saw Clyde shaking his head in disapproval while Freddy stupid's grin (in the Murkrow's opinion) widened. He opened his beak to protest but just stared, beak wide opened at them.
"Whatever... All I want right now is to sleep in a fine, cozy nest. Let's find a place to rest first, then we'll plan."
"But I don't need to rest, Edgar." Clyde politely said.
"GEHEHE!! ME NEITHER MY LITTLE FAVORITE CLOAK!!" Freddy laughed again, patting Clyde in the back who didn't care.
"Well I do. So shut up and follow me." Edgar snarled, flying away to a nearby cave. Freddy followed the Murkrow and Clyde was about to do the same when he noticed some strange rocks buried within the sand nearby. He looked at them, intrigued for several seconds.
"Clyyyyde! Move your nonexisting ass already!!" Edgar shrieked from a distance.
"My apologies." Clyde muttered before joining his comrades.
"In this insane place, love is all that stands between us and the great beyond."

Bale and his tributes arrived at the Steven Universe world, MG was a little unsure given that Lapis was not one to see him in a good light.
MG: Bale, I am not sure about this. Lapis hates your guts and will probably drown you the moment you come in here.
Just as the two were walking in Beach City, they found themselves face to face with Lapis, who had a frown on her face and her arms crossed.
Lapis: You seriously are pushing your luck coming around here.
Bale: Hey Lapis... No hard feel-
She then put a water tendril wrapped around his mouth.
Lapis: Shut your mouth, Jamie's been seriously traumatized by what your little invitation made him see. And I've still got no good faith in you for the little stunt of the Legion
Bale: Oh right that, well you see I was actually here for-
Just then Amethyst and Peridot called them both out.
Amethyst: Hey, isn't that Bale and his weird talking lizard. Lapis put him down, you don't have to treat him with excessive force for his past actions.
She then let him go as Amethyst approached him.
Bale: Thanks Amethyst, I was starting to think that I-
Before he could finish, Amethyst punched him in the gut, with a lot of force, leaving Bale on the floor.
Amethyst: Just use some medium force and you've gotten some catharsis.
Bale: Okay, you're all still mad at me. I get it.
Amethyst: You're lucky that I've learned to forgive others... Mostly, I still punch those who aggravate me too far, then if they don't do anythign bad again I let bygones be bygones.
Just then Garnet walked in, not impressed at all with what happened, even with seeing Bale in pain on the ground.
Garnet: So... You're back here, I predicted we hadn't seen the last of you.
Bale: Yeah. I did not exactly "predict" but did figure you guys would be unhappy to see me.
Lapis: That's the biggest understatement I've heard in my entire existence.
Garnet: Oh we are not quite glad at all. But at least Steven was willing to forgive you since you made an effort. So you're welcome here, but don't push your luck again. But your iguana companion can come and go as he pleases.
MG: Thanks a lot for the fact, I was kinda worried I'd suffer some bad consequences over Bale's actions.
Bale: Okay, that's just mean of you throwing me under the bus, MG.
MG: What? I am protecting myself from retribution of your actions. Not mine.
Bale: Okay, all I wanted was to give Jamie and Lapis a gift, as a way of apologizing for all the trouble I've caused to you guys.
Garnet and Amethyst both left them to attend some business in Little Homeworld, Lapis decided to reluctantly listen to him.
Lapis: Fine let's go see him. Then leave or I will make you leave by force.
Bale: Okay, okay. I get it you hate me, I don't. Let's just go over to his house and deal with this.
They both left for Jamie's house, not looking at each other to avoid the awkwardness.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."
Space Molly Weasley
The Database Library, Basement
6k1 spends the next hour training Mimi, with Dupe cheering for them, though she still struggles in getting her to concentrate. While Mimi has mastered "sit", she still needs to work with "stay", so 6k1 decides to end the training and continue the following morning. The DM picks up Mimi and cuddles her, praising her for trying her best, then takes her and Dupe to the family room for dinner. After which, she does her evening routine, then says goodnight before going to bed.
In the middle of the night, however, 6k1 tosses and turns. She clutches onto her locket one more time as she tries not to think too much about last season. She groans and sits on the edge of the bed and meditates, then leaves a voice message for Dave just to check if he's doing okay.
Asriel also groans and wakes up.
"Sis... are you okay?"
"Don't worry about me, I'm fine..."
Asriel sits next to her and holds her arm. "Staying up all night won't do you any good for our park outing tomorrow."
"I know, but this is grown-up's stuff... wait a minute..." 6k1 turns to him, "are you also joining me and Mimi?"
"Yep!" He nods. "I'm still nervous about meeting up with new people, but maybe I can cheer you up if I walk in the park with you!"
"Aww!"
Just then, Mimi waddles into the room and climbs onto 6k1's lap.
"My not-so-little furball, go back to sleep," 6k1 says to her, "you have a big day tomorrow!"
Mimi yawns. "But I can't stop thinking about your locket..."
"Oh, that?" 6k1 smiles. "That's just my custom-made Heart Locket I bought for myself last last Christmas!"
"Ooh... It's so shiny..."
"Where did you get it?" asks Asriel. "Only Chara and I had it as far as I know..."
"From a jeweler in your world, and it was very expensive, indeed. I also bought one for Dave, and..."
6k1 opens it to show them the engraving. Asriel and Mimi go "aww..."
"So he really means a lot to you, huh?"
"Is that why you kept holding it?"
"Yes... I'm just worried about him right now..."
"But why?"
6k1 sighs. "Well... he just hasn't talked to me for a while, that's all..."
Mimi and Asriel hug her.
"It's okay, Mom... you've still got us!"
"And you have your other friends to talk to, right?"
6k1 smiles again. "Right... but I still hope Dave replies to me that he's doing alright... now the two of you go back to bed now so you'll have energy tomorrow."
"Okay, goodnight!"
"And goodnight to you, too."

Soon, the feast ended. All guests leave via the Spacepod and are later dropped on earth.

Not an evil Thievul
Season 140
(The still very confused gargoyle is not entirely sure what's going on, only that he has just had a gun shoved into his hands by the Greek teenager. He looks up to see a very strange looking bird and an equally strange-looking pink monster approaching, both looking very hungry. But there isn't any food nearby, so that means...)
YIIIII! (Taki screams and wildly fires his gun at the approaching creatures. Having come from a time without guns, Taki doesn't realize what the guns did to the monsters and assumes they just went to sleep.)
Ooh, a sleeping thingy? Maybe I should hold on to this... (Taki muses to himself, running off with it.)
(Some ways away, Taki sets up a base for himself in a valley and refers to things he learned from Deborah about traps to set up traps such as a large moat, a large rock, and an abandoned freeze ray he found to keep out anything else that might want to eat him, then retreats into a small cavern. He briefly sheds his cloak to look at the sapphire stuck to his shoulder (the reason he is even alive in the first place). The glow seems to be...different for some reason. Instead of glowing blue, it's glowing purple.)
(Before he can dwell on this for too long, there is a commotion outside. Taki peers out to find all three of the traps he set up activated.)
Whew! Nobody's gonna eat me tonight! (Taki says.)
(He looks out at what happened. He can't even tell what activated the rock trap (there are white-ish colored feathers flying around the dropped rock however), there are orange and yellow feathers floating on top of the moat, and he can see a blue bird encased within a large ice block. The bird doesn't seem like it would have liked to eat him.)
(He knocks on the ice to see if the blue bird responds. She doesn't. After doing so again several times to no avail, Taki suddenly has a VERY bad feeling and retreats back into the cavern with a yelp.)
Eye-Sicle's Lair
(From Eye-Sicle's perspective as he watches the season (having woken up just in time for it to start), however, he thinks the pink gargoyle has made some genius moves that have scored him a great number of K Os right out of the gate.) Here I thought that big purple one would be more deadly... (He mutters to himself. If nothing else, he may already have a participant for the next DB.)
(Not that Goliath hasn't done anything of note either, of course. The other gargoyle ate a red watermelon after seeing the fellow in red eat a green watermelon and knock out the kiwi bird with just the watermelon seeds, and then ended up breathing fire that burnt up the blond-haired woman he had already been dueling with. Eye-Sicle can't help but chuckle at Goliath's expression of surprise at what happened afterward.)
(Meanwhile, Stanford enters tribute quarters to see how everyone is doing.) Good morning, everyone. How are you all today?
(Everyone is currently checking out or wearing the gifts they received from the Santa Claus of the Rankin/Bass world. Jared is sitting on his new mountain bike, June is wearing her new purple vest and matching purple top hat, Kenny is adjusting his new goggles, Joaquin is staring fascinatedly at his new wrist-watch, Cleo is wearing a nice, almost royal-looking cloak, and Wanda is tossing around a toy wand (which bears a curious resemblance to the ones the Koopalings would carry).)
We're doin' great, Stan! (June says.) Lookit this new stuff! I don't hafta illusion up this stuff anymore!

Well, at some point I wanted to look into...well, possibly looking into this whole business with cloning. (Stanford says.)

I did mean actual physical clones that wouldn't disappear after a while. (Stanford says.) How I would go about that, I'm not sure. I wanted to discuss this with 6k1, but I'm not sure how busy she is right now.
So what do you want to do in the meantime? (Cleo asks Stanford.)

Well, if there isn't anything we absolutely NEED to do, I was thinking about taking this new bike out for a spin. (Jared says.)

A day to relax after everything you all just went through might be in order, yes. (Stanford says.) I know of a nice park not too far from here. Perhaps we could go there for the day?

(Now who would have the means to create these strange bracers and give them to Joaquin's old friends(?) and the Burgermeister? Some of the other nominators whom they've met certainly would have the means to do so, but none of them seem like the type of people to give them to folks who wanted to cause trouble.)
(And now 6k1 has evidently cloned herself as well, for the purposes of having someone to participate in her stead without having to participate herself. How intriguing...Stanford absolutely does not want to participate in a season, but perhaps if he had a clone, he wouldn't have to if he were absolutely forced to participate?)
(Then again, that would just mean another person would be taking all of the possible trauma of a Hunger Games season instead of himself, which makes Stanford feel uneasy. It doesn't feel right to him to force another person to participate in a season in his stead (even if said person were just his exact double). How would he get around that?)
(It's late in the day and he's done a lot today, so perhaps he should just sleep on all of these things for now.)
