Well, there's only 991 Named Weapons wicks... How many fit? I dunno.

Named Weapons is the supertrope now, so all the wicks should count (though they might work better under a more precise subtrope). The cleanup we're waiting on is mostly the I Call It "Vera" page, which has a number of examples that would fit better on Named Weapons, and is also unnecessarily listing every single example in a work rather than focusing more on general trends.

Yeah, Vera has 2172 wicks... And that's after I cleaned its overlap with redirect I Call Her "Vera"...

Should we rename this thread?

Okay, so this is Named Weapons because this is not anything like a human name?

Blue Is Heroic:

  • In Bayonetta 2, the titular character uses a set of blue guns appropriately [[I Call It "Vera" named]] Love Is Blue. She also wears blue ear rings, blue medallions on her cloak and her white gloves have a dark blue pattern.

Extending clock again. Is there anyone working on this.

Well, I wouldn't mind a Meaningful Weapon Name to offload examples onto. Anyone else?

Like for Dragonslayer, and such?

Maybe also Named Weapon Title, for when Named Weapon and Weapon Title overlap, especially as Weapon Title is broader than it sounds on first glance?

Maybe split off Named Vehicle...

Then there's Named Talking Weapon...

And cleaning out duplicates from Named Weapon gets it down to about 960...

And my latest round of looking at a few more pages, got it down to 945... If Legendary Weapon really is a Sub-Trope, then, someone else might be better suited to that than me...

Crown Description:

We appear to have a Missing Supertrope with named weapons, and trying to make Named Weapons a "formal" version of I Call It Vera has produced problems about the "formal" qualification and creator intent.
