I've also heard a few hours ago that Julia Vickerman was fired from here for being a pedophile and also doing innapropiate stuff to her crew. That reminds me (and is eerily similar) of the time when Skyler Page was fired from Clarence. And if I think more, the more I am frightened... brrrr...

I wonder if the show is still binge-worthy for me...

I say go ahead and watch it. I can still watch The Loud House even if Chris Savino is in a similar boat to Julia Vickerman.

I also still watch Ren & Stimpy, despite John K. being a massive piece of shit.

They might end up pulling the show off Netflix since this is pretty serious

Regarding Shadi Petosky, she specifically mentioned that she was looking for marketing jobs out of LA due to some conflict and frustration with the Writer's Guild of America. I don't have the link since she deleted those tweets, so I guess she wasn't supposed to talk about that. Worst case scenario, the show is over. Best case scenario, it's getting ANOTHER showrunner.

If Netflix didn't pull House of Cards, they won't touch this show. They already paid money for it.

For whatever it's worth the Games Animation episodes of R&S didn't have involvement from John K., and, well, considering what happened when he wasn't kept on a leash, in hindsight it probably could've been worse.

Still, Ren & Stimpy was good but like this and many other cartoons, it's creator was a piece of shit. And this is where I separate Art and Artist.

As of Friday, she was still promoting the show on her Twitter. Her Instagram is private now, and her Tumblr has been taken over by someone else who is promoting the "pedophile" story.

The "bear affair" Tumblr post from 10 years ago where she talked about stalking a young boy at a carnival is apparently real, but I can't confirm anything else. Although Shadi Petosky's Twitter profile describes herself as "show runner" and she's promoting Twelve Forever, she doesn't say she's show runner of TF. "Show runner" may refer to Danger & Eggs.

None of the normal industry reporting says anything about her being fired; it's just one person saying "I heard".

Apparently, her Tumblr has been taken down. I tried to search for it but it wasn't there.

Can we just stop with this nonsense and get on with the actual show? These petty witchunts don't affect the show's quality.

I reckon Undermined By Reality is at play here. TBH it's kind of a shame since I'd heard this show was actually pretty good and resonant. If Shadi does pick this show up after Vickerman got the boot I can imagine it'll be hard to escape the looming shadow over it and her actions. I mean, she's welcome to prove me wrong and change things up enough that, say, deconstructs the premise of a land where you don't have to grow up and shows why it's bad and unhealthy, but I guess we'll see how it pans out if it's not outright cancelled.

Vickerman was kicked out before the show's season went into production. The first season on Netflix is under Shadi Petosky's watch.

Ahhhhh.

Coincidentally I just finished the episodes. The zany antics of Endless residents was getting kind of irritating after a while, though I do admit I'm way older than the target demographic. Especially toward the end of the season they were touching on Reggie not growing up being not so good, and contrasted it with her friends that were growing up.

So I dunno. The show is decent, but that's about it.

Yeah, I think I'm too old for this show too. A shame, it does have some good points and I can see its potential.

I'll watch episode 1 anyway, just to check if it's not krap.

Agreed, Endless was less "charmingly whimsical" and more "irritatingly chaotic." That combined with Reggie's stubborn holding-onto of the place even while it was clearly mentally unhealthy for her really made the show a pain at times.

Some shows can hit the goofy, "random" sense of humor well (Adventure Time), but others...well, can't.
