A caption might see fit to mention that Heimdall was known as "the whitest of the Norse gods" (whatever that meant at the time).

Well we could say:

"From the whitest of all Norse god to the brightest of all Norse god."

Apparently, the Norse word for "whitest" can also mean "most glittering" or "brightest."

Excuse me, but the process is known as Image Pickin’.

Joking aside, normally around this time a mod will "call" the crowner, closing it to further votes and formally declaring a winner. They will then add the winning image to the page, along with a note hidden in the markup telling others not to change it, with a link to this thread.
