OK, here's where this thread is standing, with the unlocking:
Given the widespread backlash and complaining about certain aspects of the work (i.e. Dexit), we wanted to communicate very clearly what we are not willing to put up with: prolonged, circular complaining (or wonking).
Of course, with a controversial subject that has a large impact on the gameplay, Dexit is in one of those areas where there it may be on-topic to discuss it, but the nature of that discussion can wildly vary. As has been said elsewhere, we ix-nayed discussion of Dexit entirely because it never seemed to happen without devolving into that kind of complaining.
However, we're willing to unlock the thread after this 3-day cooldown period because the Pokemon General thread has been stable enough. And -
Can I discuss Dexit?
Yes. But if there is prolonged wonking on it, the thread just becomes an echo chamber of complaints and we do not like that. No one likes that. The same rules as ever apply. Be a constructive, healthy space. Have conversations about what you like, and what you don't like, but the thread should not get locked into a series of bitter complaints.

Eh, Ground Type Marowak already existed and the type change is thematically consistent. Farfetch'd becoming pure Fighting would be thematically consistent, but that being Farfetch'd's only evolution would be weird and rub me the wrong way, especially since Farfetch'd is one of the more iconic meme Pokemon to want an evolution, it getting one where it basically turns into a completely different Pokemon seems like it's missing the point.
Linoone getting a region-exclusive evolution isn't the same thing, since Obstagoon is an evolution of an entire alternate line of Linoone and no-one really cared about Linoone that much.
Personally, I think it's just going to be a new Pokemon, maybe a Mythical or something with lore behind it.

I actually think the Yokai Watch competition made things worse for Pokemon - I want to strangle Rotom Dex and the Z-Move dance isn't fun after the first part (ironically, the good Z moves were the ones that involve little dancing). And fellow Toei stuff - good lord the rider belt lost their quality because they want to emulate Yokai Watch with Ghost Driver. Gamer Driver onwards were improvements thankfully enough. Anyway it's floundering right now because well, Level-5 really sucks at handling franchises. People think TPCI is milking Pokemon, they clearly haven't seen how Level 5 handled Yokai Watch or Inazuma Eleven. Also people forget Pokemon is a multimedia franchise. As of right now, the main games aren't taking a lions share - merchandising is their true juggernaut of sales.
Anyway I bet Sirfetched is a jouster. What if it follows the usual thing where Galar is the original species and the ones that migrated were the ones who downgraded?

The Japanese page for the Pokemon actually has its name partially uncovered. It seems its Japanese name ends in "naito" / "(k)night".

I wonder if, whatever this Pokemon is, if there's a relationship/rivalry to Corviknight. If it is an evolution/alternate form of Farfetch'd, that might even explain why it's got this form here and not elsewhere.

@ Evolution: That's not even the right term. What Pokemon do to change form is metamorphosis, not evolution.

I asked Google to translate Metamorphosis into Japanese. The first listed result was Hentai, which I would highly advise against using. The second result was Henshin, which I believe most Tokosatsu shows use.
Funnily enough, One Piece does use "Hentai," and yes, the mangaka was going for the very obvious joke.
