I started watching these a while ago. They are pretty funny, but sometimes the "super easy" line does feel a bit shoehorned. I like that they're at least self-aware about it though.
I don't like that they do that YouTube thumbnail thing, it just looks... blegh. I get that it's to attract more viewers, but it has the exact opposite effect on me.

The thumbnails are off-putting, to be sure. That's my only major complaint about the videos.
Funny thing about the tagline: many of the commenters love it and keep score of how long they'll go before putting it in. It's like a sing-along; as soon as I see the setup coming, I always try to say it perfectly on cue.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Today's episode: The Dark Knight Rises.
[Does Bane voice] "You sound like a Muppet that got stuck in a wall." "Yeah, it's super scary!"
"Manholes are tight!" "You realize this isn't an adult movie?"

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The best one is the "Pitch Meetings" Pitch Meeting, although you shouldn't watch it until you seen a few other Pitch Meetings, so you get the meta-humor.
Agreed. Also, Ryan George's personal channel has a lot of other videos in the style of Pitch Meetings, but with different topics. They're worth checking out.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Best line from the opening is, "So, you have an Avengers commercial for me?" As much as I enjoyed the film, I can't argue with that.
Really funny, if quite repetitive.
Doesn't stop me from binging heavily.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Just like Honest Trailer, Cinemasins, etc, this series is best when covering ridiculous movies.
Like The Aquaman:
"So, Aquaman rescues a bunch of sailors."
"Nice, seamen is tight."
"...What?"
"What?"
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Pitch Meetings for Beauty and the Beast remake.
Oh man, I really loved this bit:
Writer: So they throw their laundry machine to the street.
Executive: Oh my God.
Writer: Yeah, in the original they just sang a song about how weird she is, but here they straight out hate her!
Executive: Well, she did just sing a song about how she thinks everyone here is dumb.
Writer: She did, so I guess it's all fair.
My God, I never thought about it that way.
Oh, and I launched YMMV and Funny pages for Screen Rant Pitch Meetings.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I deliberately avoided seeing the remake. I still don't want to see it. This Pitch Meeting doesn't change my mind at all.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Heh, to me Beauty and the Beast remake was like The Last Jedi. While I was watching it in the theatre, I enjoyed every single second and had a great time.
When I walked out of the theater, however, I had a long series of "Wait a minute!"
Honestly, I actually recommend it, because if you don't think about it too hard it's enjoyable enough.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Posted today: X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
Also, I avoided watching the Pitch Meeting for Glass until recently (since I didn't see the movie right away), and the ending is hilarious:
I'm on the fence about watching the Dark Phoenix one. I'm not sure I want the ending spoiled, even if I don't plan to see it until it's available for rental.
Can we expand this topic to cover Ryan George's personal channel? He puts out some hilarious content using a style with the same basic concept as Pitch Meetings, but a less restrictive format. I love the latest one, which is Refreshing Your Notifications.
Oh my God, I loved how the Producer interpreted Doctor Strange raising his finger at Tony as The Thanus Theory. It's my headcanon now.

I first watched this when I was ten and even back then I thought something was really off (just like what I felt watching Phantom Menace) and it turned out this movie is REALLY bad. Still better than Fan4stic, but that's not much of a compliment, is it?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Oh, wow, I forgot he hadn't done all the Star Wars films.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The Hunger Games Pitch Meeting
- Is he doing all of them? That'll be tight.
- "Kids killing kids super violently..." "It's got to be PG-13, though." "... Kids killing kids offscreen, with lots of shaky cam." "There it is. Now the whole family can enjoy the child murders."

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!""So, you have a horror movie for me?" ... is what the lead should have been.
From Ryan George's personal channel, this is quite possibly the best video he's ever made: The Human Sacrifice Call Center. The psychological insight is disturbing.
The latest Screen Rant Pitch Meeting.
I'm surprised they didn't go with the usual huge eyes here.
It's been 3000 years…
I've been searching to see if we have a topic for this, and it doesn't look like it, so here we are. I've recently discovered (along with many other people, it seems) a hilarious series by the YouTube channel Screen Rant called "Pitch Meetings". (Playlist link) They've got over 100 videos now, so we can binge away to our hearts' content.
Anyone familiar with Honest Trailers will recognize the basic idea, except that the setup is a writer pitching scripts to a studio executive. With some clever editing, Ryan George plays both characters.... *ahem*, I mean they look remarkably similar... and we get to see some of the... questionable... decisions and thoughts that led up to some of these films.
"Fighteer," you ask, "Isn't it difficult to make something like that consistently funny?" "Actually, it's super easy, barely an inconvenience." "Oh, really?"
The series starts with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, just in case anyone imagined it'd dip a toe in rather than cannonball into the deep end. It's covered the entire MCU and quite a lot of other things.
As of writing this, the most recent video is X-Men: Days of Future Past.
