Needs Help: Replacement Flat Character

I've seen the film so I kinda get what it was trying to convey, but it seemed too context-dependent.

I agree. I get it, but someone else might not.

Yeah... I just see a clone of Buzz. I can't tell if he's flat or not.

Could it work if paired with an image of what Buzz was like in the first movie?

How would you get that across in a still image, and how would you be able to tell that Buzz and the new Buzz apart?

That's a good point; if we had an image from the first movie of Buzz with his helmet on, people would assume the helmeted utility belt Buzz was the original Buzz. It would need three images: Buzz pre-character development, post-character development, and then my suggestion.

But how does the old Buzz wearing or not wearing his helmet depict character development? How does the new Buzz pinning the old Buzz against the wall mean the new Buzz is a Flat Character?

You can go ahead and give the three-picture idea a shot, but I'm honestly wondering if this is a trope that can actually be illustrated through still-image alone.

This feels like a very BUPKIS example. It's already hard to find a good Flat Character image to begin with.

While I'm fine with visual pun images, that one isn't terribly good due to lacking the "replacement" element.
