A bit premature, per the Ask The Tropers thread that started this. So closing.

Most of this trope's examples are just "a song gets extended for an album" which has no added narrative value.
The only examples that come close to having narrative value are We Bare Bears, Steven Universe, Regular Show, Thomas the Tank Engine, and The Trap Door. Even then, the meaning isn't consistent; We Bare Bears and Steven Universe are about the characters singing the theme song together in an episode, Thomas the Tank Engine and Regular Show are about the full theme song being used at the ending of an episode, and The Trap Door is about the theme song being used as an entire Musical Episode.
Theme Tune Extended needs to be a storytelling element beyond "a song becomes longer". If this trope has narrative value, it isn't consistent.
