ITT: We Are All Pirates' Revenge

Klamptrap:   Dark tunnels...my kind of place. Hope there aren't any grues!   

Klamptrap then nods at Duane.

   Oh right, the kids... Hmm, the ship may be too boring for the youngsters... Perhaps we could leave the kids at a school or a library? Who knows, they might learn something interesting!   

"Oh, right! Good thinking, Duane and Klamptrap. What do you think, Jane? Neph?"

"I can take them to the ship, and spend some time showing them the ropes. Figuratively and literally. We could use more able hands for sailing."

Despite what he's saying Tom doesn't seem too frustrated, and remains matter-of-fact. He's not exactly the exploring type, either, so he won't miss much himself.

"Hey Ira, ya said ya needed someone to pair up with? Maybe the weird shit I can do can be of good use!"

Sure, you can join us! (Ira says to Gabrielle.) More the merrier!

Parada backs away towards Nephenee and pouts.

"You're not leaving me anywhere."

Jane sits in the corner, looking to Nephenee. "You guys can go ahead, I just need a sec. Ya know?" She gives a light chuckle, turning to Kauri next. "You don't mind, do you? Staying behind for a second?"

Truth is, she just wanted space from as many people as she can manage. Just needs some brooding time is all.

"No, I don't mind at all."

"I see," says Melvin. "Well, you're all welcome to stay behind if you must, but just so we're clear, who is coming with me into the mines?"

I'm coming, as far as I know. (Ira says, standing up.)

I’ll head down. Duane assures.

"If that's what you wish," Ezekiel says to Jane, then turning towards the others. "I suppose I can come as well. There may yet be other leads, but I've a hunch' we're headed in the right direction."

Yeah, I got a feeling... Duane utters, a little bit of mysticism in his voice.

"I wouldn't be against taking the kids somewhere safer", said Nephenee, putting a hand on Parada's shoulder, "But if Tom's taking 'em back to the ship then I'd like to come along with you all in the mine."

"And yeah, don't rush", the mercenary responded to Jane before looking down to Parado again, "You sure you'll wanna come along? It might be dangerous down in there."

The chest yawns and stretches, causing his chains to rustle a bit.

Klamptrap:   Aye, coming with ya to the mine. Who knows, if we're lucky we could strike it rich even if a clue to the egg isn't there!   

Well, are we decided then? (Ira asks. He seems anxious to begin heading toward the mines.)

Dave shrugs.

"I guess I oughta come too."

He starts in the direction of the mines.

"I can handle myself."

"... Alright, if you say so", said Nephenee, "I'll take your word for it."

"Well then," says Melvin, "Not much sense lingering here much longer, huh? All those coming with me, uh... come with me. If you'd rather stay behind, you ought to stay someplace safe. Someplace like..." Melvin looks around and notices a large stone building on the path to the mines. "...like that library! Whaddaya know, Klamptrap, there really is a library."

"Or, maybe you'd find it safer to return to the ship. And feel free to look around it if ya like. I don't have any other-" he looks at Ezekiel "...other crewmates there."

Here goes nothing! You guys be careful, all right? (Ira waves at the others and begins lumbering toward the mines.)

Dave loosens his shoulders and heads to the cave, following Ira. There's a notable bounce in his step.

Duane scurries in, following Melvin.

Inside the dark and dingy mines are innumerable signs declare 'NO ACCESS BEYOND THIS SIGN. GET OUT! -Safety General Keats'.

Of the many signs however, two differ. One, which reads, 'NO ACCESS BEYOND THIS SIGN. GET OUT! -Safety General Keats', the other which reads, 'NO ACCESS BEYOND THIS SIGN. GET OUT! -Safety General Keats'.

The treasure hunter in me is speaking up here.

"... Nuff time passed." Jane looks over to Kauri. "C'mon, bud! We got a ship to board." She gets up, picking Kauri up and placing him on her shoulders. Quickly, without waiting for a response, she heads out the door.

"Letsee... The ship was..."

She points, still holding onto Kauri with her other arm. "Over there!" And thus, she's off.

Tom follows along with Jane to return to the ship, not bothering Parada. If she decided to follow them in, it was her prerogative. Maybe he'd think differently if she was his daughter, but she was not so it was a moot point. Anyways, the ship was waiting for them.
