In general, you guys are soooo lovely and delicious, especially that worthless, helpless, multi-eyed freak of nature...I've got to give credit that worthless fool of Dante! If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have found you! , he said with gleeful (yet rude and creepy) gratitude.

"I see" Sam whispered, thoughtfully, closing his eyes. Things were about as bad as he imagined.
"Going back is our main goal here" He muttered, trying to figure out that was the more important part. "We are to assume the all of us are dead or on very bad shape" He said out loud.
Percy tried to approach him again, trying to figure out what to say. His death wasn't an easy topic, he had to run into the forest to hide. While his body was never found, his last breath seemed to completely unleash the blizzard they had inside of them. The east coast was turned into a land of ice and snow. Whoever still lives there must have adapted.
And then, there's... No, he won't think of them. There are too many things to deal with now to let those doubts reach him. In his hand, a snowball started to form, but there was something strange on it.
It became pitch black.

Ryuu growled at Dementius, as the very air around it seemed to warp. As the air itself started to move, as several air blades attacked at the spiders, even cutting through the floor.
Genbu approached him, placing a hand on his back.
"Breathe" He said, his voice low and even "Calm down, and focus"
Ryuu looked at him, confused, but tried to calm down. There is nothing good on completely losing his head, even with an annoying demon that is cursing his friend.

Squad 1 - Ellie - Forest
Ellie covered her mouth and softly squealed at the news that she had a son. "Casper, you said? Wait, no, it would have to be Caspar, that makes more sense. Oh, I hope I get to meet my baby boy before we go back."
Then Korthus mentioned the Abyss might be planning an invasion. Her smile faded somewhat. "That... does make sense. Lord Lucifer is the kind of person who would take advantage of this... chaos. But hopefully having a common enemy in Gaea will mean demonkind doesn't try to take over the world or something stupid like that."
Squad 3 - Mikael - Abyss
"You lie." Caspar clenched a fist. "The invasion is to help humans, not to twist them into puppets. Lord Lucifer told me... himself..."
Realization dawned on him, and Caspar covered his face with his hands. Mikael ran a hand through his son's hair. Then he smiled, bemusedly, at Zenestria. "You're not exactly in a position to make demands, you know. Do you really think my father, your husband, would take kindly to you threatening his son? Not to mention that I'm pretty sure none of Caspar's friends were aware of the true purpose of the invasion. So, you know, great job on letting that cat out of the bag."
"If..." Caspar looked up, his resolve returning as he released his father and turned to face Zenestria himself. He clenched his fist. "I-If what you've said is really true... then if you won't help dad get home, I'll - I'll go and tell the Resistance what the Abyss is planning, so they'll know not to trust you or Lord- or Lucifer, ever again!"
"Attaboy." Mikael's smile turned proud. He gave Zenestria an annoyed look. "So if I was you, Zenestria, I'd want to get us home as fast as possible. Because if I am going to remain here, I'll oppose Lucifer's plan to my last breath."
"As will I." Caspar agreed. Father and son stood shoulder-to-shoulder now, standing tensely yet resolved, almost as if readying for a fight. "So help them get home."
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Zenestria glared at Caspar, staring him down in contempt. "You know, you're so much like your grandfather. So stubborn. So strong of spirit. So dull. I suppose that's why I fell for him in the first place. But even the finest blade loses its' luster. And so I have no regrets. Ta-ta!" And then she was gone.
Seconds later, a large explosion could be heard at the palace gates. Followed by the thunder of mighty hooves charging toward it. Whatever was going on, it couldn't have been good.

Ash stretched with a slight yawn, casting her eyes lazily over to the entrance as Lydia looked on at her behaviour with a mixture of incredulity and mild amazement.
“Is that an impending ass-kicking? 'Cause that sounds like a impending ass-kicking.”

“Grandma, are you seriously–”

“Alright, buckle up boys. An' girls. An' other s***. Fun stuff starts now,” Ash stated, cracking her knuckles before setting her hands alight with intense flame. Lydia followed her example shortly thereafter; her fire noticeably more sputtering and unrefined, before stiffly raising her palm towards the door in preparation.
”You uh... gonna go into a battle stance or somethin'?”
”No.”
“...Huh. Cool,” Ash uncertainly replied after a short pause, shrugging to herself as she glanced momentarily at her classmates before focusing intently on the spots where their impending attackers were mostly likely to enter through. “S'long as you know what you're doing.”
She frowned.

Oh, joy, Hunter thought I get to make like the Doomslayer. Procuring his khukuri knives, he ran towards the entrance to the throne room, running up the wall & placing himself directly above the entrance. "Well? Don't just stand around like a bunch of statues, everyone take position! Someone take point, & don't forget to cover our flanks!", he called to the others. Smelling his future daughter's blood, he noticed what seemed to be giant bone spurs forcing their way out of her skin. Goddammit, how many people have Lovecraftian superpowers? He thought, then followed by Wait, if she's my daughter, dose that mean I can do that body horror s**t too? Do I want that? I SHALL FEAST UPON THE FLESH AND SOULS OF MINE ENEMIES!

Squad 2 - Base
Ever sighed and opened her eyes, her attention briefly turning away from the point of gravitation. Spider demons now, was it? Not a moment of peace and quiet in here. Well, when there's a bug infestation: fumigate. "Dante owes me for this. Somebody pull his head up so he doesn't breath this in." Ever pulled a bundle of leaves from her head and tossed them into one of the fireballs. As they burned a disproportionately large amount of heavy smoke rolled out of them clinging to the floor and turning the inside of any spider to become engulfed in the smoke to slush. "I call dibs on their bodies." Argue everything you can argue. Doubt everything you believe. Ask every question you have. Argue, doubt and ask. Through this we learn.

Apperantly almost all of the spider got killed by Ryuu's air cutters.
And the last one got submarged in smoke by Ever Green.
Hehehehe...you've finally managed to kill these spiders, huh? Hahahahahahah...very well, I'm really sure we will cross paths in the future...not this shitty one, gyehehehehehe , his twisted laugh continued until it suddenly stopped: the last spider was dead.
It was obviously clear to the Iridium Wonders that Dementius is stronger (and maybe smarter) than they thought. They obviously needed to step up their game in order to defeat him. But how, I wonder? Hehehehe, they need to find that out themselves!

"In any event—"
Suddenly Korthus rose up like a rabbit in the brush, his eyes wide as he stared toward the entryway. "Someone is here. At the edge of the forest. I cannot say for certain, not here, but something about them feels... off. I am sorry to cut our conversation short, but I must investigate. You may come along if you wish."
The Town
The Town was like something out of the Wild West. From the dusty streets to the rickety old Sheriff's office to the Last Chance Saloon, it was the spitting image of something from a classic 1950's cowboy flick. Only with color. Even the clothing was period accurate.
Not that the squad had a chance to enjoy it. In the distance they could hear the faint rumble of hooves heading their direction. If they looked they would see a number of horses and even a lone tank on the horizon, all coming their way. They still had some time before they got there, but either way, they would soon have a fight on their hands. And at high noon to boot.

Zach wanted to go. And at the same time, he wanted to stay away from the danger as far as he possibly could. In an incredibly dangerous environment, in a future where Gaea was a genuine threat, more than 3/4 of the class was missing, or even worse, and they were still in school? This wasn't a wise idea to go out to the woods without knowing what could be lurking out there, especially if it was enough to make Korthus silently freak out about it.
He hated to admit it, due to sounding selfish, but about 85% of the reason he didn't want to go out there was the simple fact that Yoko could be pregnant and he wanted to keep her out of danger at any reach of possibility.
Saori, meanwhile had the opposite mindset.
"Alright! Finally, a little bit of action! Finally make a difference somewhere. You bet we're coming with you, right papa!?" She asked with a grin, turning to face her father as Yoko had gone off to talk to one of her Yokai brethren.
Zach snapped out of his trance and turned to Saori, only for a moment before he turned to Mikoto, whom he was sure he was capable of reading into why he was hesitating.
He looked over at Yoko from across the room and gulped a little bit, nodding hesitatingly before he wrote, Sure...yeah...we'll help! No problem!
This is gonna give me a stress aneurysm.

“I wouldn't mind,” Yoko replied politely, picking up the proffered cucumber and taking a bite out of it. “So basic decency gets you cast out. As always. Yōkai morals are backwards anyhow. You shouldn't worry too much.”
Another bite, and the cucumber was gone. She paused for a moment—ears pricked towards Korthus' proclamation—before swiftly standing up again, holding her hand out to the kappa for a farewell handshake as she looked back towards the others with a firmly set expression of determination.
“Sumimasen. I'd have stayed longer, but I'm not gonna sit around if something bad's about to happen. If you'll give me your name, Kappa-san, maybe I can find you whenever we get back. And I'm sure you know me by reputation. Does a ‘Yoko’ ring a bell?”
A relatively common name, but attached to an uncommon person. And given the lack of surnames in the Yōkai Realm, as well as the broad variety of personal names, there was only really one candidate.
Mikoto raised up off of his seat with a reignited aura, steadily floating up to regroup with them again and pausing only to place a reassuring hand on Zach's shoulder. A familiar wave of comfort would resound through him, although unlike Yoko's encompassing warmth this was instead laced with a feeling of cool liquidity that permeated through every cell in his body.
“Don't worry. On the off chance she doesn't have it handled, we do. Let me tell you right now I will not lose my mother to anyone again. So you focus. We've got it covered.”
A sharp, communicative look towards Saori reinforced this statement, and once he caught her eye he shot a meaningful glance towards Yoko. It was the rare severity and focus that he showcased amidst the uncertainty and confusion that rang true on his face.
Wisps of spiritual energy swirled around his palm, and he clenched his fist; causing it to glow a bright bluish-white before it dissipated. Slitted eyes scanned and focused on things normally unseen to physical creatures—an action recognizable due to most often being mirrored by Yoko whenever she was lost in thought.

Sam silently got up and followed Korthus to the new arrivals. There wasn't much thought on that, but he had to do something until they knew how to go back.
Percy got up to follow him without missing a beat.
"Should have seen that coming" The son said "You were always stubborn and sucked at looking after yourself, you are gonna die young like that, old man"
"Then, I'll try to have children younger, kid" Sam joked weakly. He got a reaction, at least. Figuring out how to deal with whatever comes seemed like the important thing to do now. Then, they can time travel again.
I forgot to ask about his mother He thought Doubt I know her now, and how my life will go is up in the air anyway, even so...
Squad 2
Ryuu tried to calm down, to let the anger of the moment pass, but that thing just seemed to be out to piss him off, and he wasn't even present.
"We really need to smash that thing when we get back" He said. But Genbu just held him for another moment.
"It is done" He said, trying to calm him down "Don't let him get so deep into your skin, or else the price might be too much to pay"
The dragon boy nodded, and his breathing normalized.
"Thank you, Sir" He said, seriously.
"No need to call me sir" Genbu told him "After all, you were the one that found me"
"Eh?" Ryuu said.
"Nice to meet you, Tou-san" With more emotion, those words reached Ryuu.

Mahvash had been trying to track down squad 4 while dealing with Dante. Him just tipping over well, it could've been worse. I kind of expected him to crumble into dust after saying that line.
She hoisted him over her shoulder, grimacing. No officer should be heard to say 'I did not expect that'. I'll get better at that. For now though... "You better not be dead. You're surely not allowed to die in my presence." Of course that'd be a light reaction. She remembered him there, so he hadn't been completely undone. Between the symptoms and what she could feel... ''I may just have stitch fabrics of soul back together and anchor it to the body again. No big.
The Iridium Wonders - Base (Future Mirror)
Future!Mahvash had only technically been attentive to the Iridium Wonders. After all, she needed to remember that they were there to even bring up the globe. "When the bell tolls the old team will be dealing with demons that double the irony and take the form of household pests. Funny thing that happens on the brink of biosphere extinction." Of course, despite the fracturing and endemic warfare among the surface dwellers, she knew well that the biosphere was intact. Barring divine intervention.
"Even counting bringing exotic bugs, or that the plan was the opposite, I find it grand that you're here." Future!Mahvash started opening her arms and bringing an image of the globe into view. "I meant 'annihilate' when I said annihilate. The destruction of the old Earth, and you're more than capable of doing that little thing." She tilted her head at the boy napping on the job. "Well, I think you're capable." Look with century eyes... With our backs to the arch And the wreck of our kind We will stare straight ahead For the rest of our lives

Squad 4 + Pandora – The Town
Pandora made a small snicker as she looked at the incoming enemies. Huhuhuhu...they want to battle us, huh? , she said in a sickeningly sweet yet mocking tone. She slightly turned towards the others. C'mon, my sweet cinnamon rolls! , dark purple Tainted Veins started to appear on Pandora's left arm. Let's wreck havoc! , she declared sweetly.
Iuvem stared at Pandora. Wow...his daughter was a feisty one...also why does his daughter look like a human? Did he adopt her? Or did he stick his fifth appendage into someone, presumably a female human? Oh well...this is not the time to make these questions...it's time to FIGHT!
He looked at one of the horses.
COME OVER HERE! , he yelled as he used his gravitational pull to pull the horse (and whoever is riding it) towards him.

She smiled a bit upon seeing the tall boy hug Ryuu. Nice he met his future son from how it sounds. When Dante finally came back to conciousness, she responds:
"He's gone for now and giving you are concious again, hopefully you should be fine but, it isn't really my field of expertise."
"Ummmm, Mama?" Sally felt a tug on her sleeve and saw it was Clementine. "Did I good enough? I mean my blasts didn't hit and I was scared of catching fire and melting because well..." Sally put a hand on Clementine's shoulder reassuringly.
"I mean my blasts didn't connect either so don't feel bad. You did the best you could." Clementine hugged Sally.
"Thank you, mama."
"No problem." Hmmmm, she her temperature feels weird and she said how she would have melted if she got hit. I'm wondering if she is human. I wouldn't care either way, just curious."
The pod, which laid in a dark and dusty desolate room, opened up. Emerging from it was a woman. She slowly got up and started putting her appearance back to order.
"I got too reckless last fight. I have to be more careful or else I will be put back to under severe charging again. Blame it on the body being a weaker make." As she got ready, she noticed something was off about the machine...
"No, god damn it! I need to make sure Clementine okay! If she isn't, I won't forgive Matten or myself for this!" Finally prepared, she ran out.

Jo-Jo sighed. He really wasn't in the mood for this right now, considering they had more pressing issues right now, like figuring out a way back to their own time line, or how to deal with Evil Perry. Still, if it was a battle they wanted... "Very well, I'll deal with the tank." Shrouding himself in hard light armour, he flew towards the tank, firing a small bead of light towards it's viewport that exploded into a blinding flash of light, preventing the occupants from firing it's armament. Upon reaching it, he tore off the turrer's entrance hatch, fired another 'flash bang' directly into the tank, & dropped inside, utilizing arm-like hard light tendrils to assault the occupants. Ryuu had completely shut down when Genbu revealed himself. But he felt his arms wrap around him.
"I am Genbu" He whispered. Ryuu just nodded. He felt as if the world just got flipped on him. "And this is Yama" He pointed at the shadow always looming at him, who just slightly moved in acknowldgement.
Dante's question seemed to break him out of it, wondering what to say.
"Well, we have some time to spend" He more or less joked. "When we go back, we can deal with him properly"
Looking up, he just created a small breeze, trying to feel the air around him.
Sorano. Is this how it feels? He thought To be trapped?

Suddenly a horde of beasts stampeded into the throneroom, tearing into or tossing aside anyone that got in their way. They were large, snarling, hairy monstrosities; twice as large as a bear and three times as nasty. Their hair was long and black like charred moss, and their tusks were pointed and gnarled. Their eyes were mostly covered by it, but to whoever got a good look at them, they were as bright and twisted as hellfire.
Whatever they were, they were out for blood and wouldn't stop until everyone in the palace was dead. Including Squad 3.

Squad 1 - Ellie - Forest
"An intruder? Someone from Gaea?" Ellie mused out loud, rising to follow Korthus. "Either way, I'll help."
As she left the tree, she took to the air, rising a few feet before turning back to her companions. "I'll fly over the treetops, see if I can't scout it out. Be back in a jiffy."
She took off, gaining height until she broke through the tree cover. She looked around in all directions, to see if the intrusion was obvious enough to be visible from above.
Squad 3 - Mikael - Abyss
"...what do you-" Casper began, only for Zenestria to disappear at the sound of hooves.
"Of course she'd do something like that." Mikael growled. "I need to warn dad about her when I get back to the past."
"Hmph." Caspar rolled his neck. He smiled, tiredly. "Just another thing to set right, huh dad?"
"Yeah." Mikael smiled back. As one, father and son turned to the entrance. Mikael drew his crossbow, and Caspar conjured a long rifle, made of dark wood and black iron. They took aim at the door, Mikael eyeing his son's gun.
"Zamiel gave you a rifle already?"
"Of course. Do you not have- oh." Caspar looked sheepish. "It's still in the- right."
Mikael rolled his eyes. "Steady, aim - fire!"
As the hellish boars(?) burst into the room, Mikael loosed a flaming bolt while Caspar fired a shot that crackled with black lightning. For a moment, Mikael could have sworn he felt Ellie's energy within the electric current. "Everyone, now!" Caspar called out.

''"Mama?" That means..."
A woman appeared. She was tall, probably around 6'5". She looked to be in her mid to late twenties. She wore a long duster that covered most of her body, all that could be see underneath was her boots that looked similar to armor. Her dark blue eyes were piercing, her brown hair was pulled into a long ponytail that went past her mid back. Finally, on the lapel of her blazer was two heart shaped clips clipped on. The paint was almost all chipped off on the clips, however, you could tell they were once pink. It was clear as day this was Future Sally. Clementine ran over almost instantly and future Sally picked her up and held her close while closing her eyes.
"My dear, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Mama. I'm glad that you are okay." When the older Sally opened her eyes to look at the room clearer, her face instantly became cold at seeing the younger wonders. Her cold face was a mix of both sadness and anger.
"I see, this is what the machine did. You all need to leave this place as soon as possible. I especially want you to get out of my sight." When she said that last sentence, she glared daggers at her younger self. Sally was surprised at this.
"What?"
"Mama, please..."
"Did I not make myself clear?" Her voice getting more cold. Sally did not how to take this. Trying not to cry, she held her diary close and tried to calm down.
"What happened to me to have me act like that? Did I do something wrong?"
"I knew it, there was something wrong welp, time to fight.""Let's go, Other-Sider!" Finn transformed and got a sword ready.
"We're gonna die! We're gonna die!" Joe was trembling violently.
"Joe! Listen to me! We have to fight! You can't be scared! You're stronger than you look, you must have my powers, right?" Finn said stern but, still caring.
"Yeah...I guess I can use it... Joe transformed. His energy form was similar but, his energy color was gray. "What do we do now?"
"We fight!" Finn went in charging to fight the first beast.
"Grandpa Finn!" Joe was able to summon a tiny knife and followed his grandpa.

Shane + Son - Squad 1
Shane looked over at Elan, there were a number of ways he could take that whole ask Elan yourself thing. Most innocuously, just asking Elan, least...well, Elan would know, for being the cause of his own expulsion. The tension was thankfully diffused when it sounded like there were some intruders in the forest.
Shane went to try and tell Elan to not put himself in any danger, but Elan took exactly one step forward...and promptly vanished into thin air.
"FFFFF—-I was gonna tell him to try and stay safe..." he turned to look at what he guessed was Sam's kid, and asked, "...does he...do that often?"
Shane shrugged and then started running off toward the action. He may not agree with the direction this all was going, but damn if he was gonna let a bunch of genocidal dickbags continue on their final solution.

Korthus turned to Zach. "From what I have heard, there is a small group of resistance fighters over in a small town a few miles away from Super City, as well as another underneath Super City itself. Some of the survivors of your old Class are a part of these groups, as are their offspring. I believe Matten actually leads the one underneath Super City, though I am not sure who leads the other. But if you wish to venture into Super City, you will have to do so on your own. For those such as us, stepping foot in that place may as well be certain death."
He turned to Sam. "Of that I am not certain. There have been rumors that they are attempting an invasion of our world, but there has been nothing concrete. But if they do intend such an invasion, then many of us will probably assist them. If only to vanquish Gaea and take revenge on those who slaughtered their kin. I would prefer to stay out of such an ordeal if I could, but in the event that they call upon me to lead them, then there may not be much I can do. Above all else, my first responsibility is to them."

The kappa dredged up a cucumber it had stored at the bottom of the lake and bit off one of the ends with its' beak before bothering to give Yoko the time of day. "A kitsune? Didn't expect to see one of you here. Whatever. If you must know, it's because there was nowhere else to go. Back when this whole mess with Gaea started, some of the more... shall we say altruistic Yokai such as myself argued that rather than sitting on our arses, we should help the humans and others on Earth to protect them against the coming threat. And besides, if they were that fearful of nonhumans born on Earth, what was to stop them from going after us in due time?"
It bit off a bit more continuing on. "Of course, the other Yokai did not particularly care for such a notion. We tried to convince them to help, but to no avail. In time we were cast out. But by that point, Gaea had already won. And so now we spend the rest of our days here, in the only place we belong. Hoping that one day we will have a chance to defeat Gaea as well as be allowed back into our homeland once more. But until then, I will have to be content with snacking on cucumbers." It snapped off the other end and held it out to Yoko. "Do you want some? They're rather tasty."
