I did find the sheath, but opening as the pic is a bit too dark to make out anything.
I pulled it into an editor and brightened it up a bit. Is this better?

Works for me. Pretty sure we can just swap and close as a quality upgrade, right?
Yes. Quality upgrades can be swapped in.
How about one of these:
Optionally paired with this?

I prefer the upgrade.
3's quality still looks terrible. I'd rather pull it.
Not a fan of any pics in 5.
3 is an improvement, but not what I'd call good.... not a fan of the suggestion in 5 either tbh, the sheath is dark enough that it blends into the background.
I disagree, I caught it immediately, especially in 5.2. I'm good with 5.2 + 5.3, I have a hard time seeing that the thing on the ground in 3 is a sheath.
5.2 + 5.3:
I agree that the quality of the current and 3 is not good, and that the sheath is not obvious. If the image wasn't on a page about sheaths, I'd have no idea that that even was one.

Different crop with ligthing filter for focus

That's better...for comparison's sake, can you split the difference between that and the first take? The cavalry in the background is kinda searing.
Agreed, this is overkill.
And please save your images as PNGs. JPGs almost always make the image grainy.

The clock's up and we've got consensus for the concept, so the lightened single-shot version is up and tagged. Locking up.
Old pic:
I can't see anything in this picture. There's maybe a pair of boots?
