He does at least still display the hatred for Ayleids. Though it still comes off as more of a confused Racist Grandpa as opposed to frothing genocidal berserker.

Disgusted, but not surprisedCan't forget about Tiber Septim's history of backstabbing.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Nor his abuse of Numidium.
Disgusted, but not surprisedPut that way, it sounds like some sort of painkiller.
Avatar SourceThe Thalmor have some very good reasons to despise Talos - it's just literally everything else about them that makes players not think twice about murdering them when meeting them on the road in Skyrim.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Their good reasons are, however, not the philosophical ones. Which are the important ones.
And like 99% of them boil down to the Altmer being really sore losers.
Avatar SourceWhy is there so much genocide in Elder Scrolls
Disgusted, but not surprisedBecause unlike real life, it's got well documented old history?
Avatar SourceIronically, despite all of the genocide in Nirn’s history the only actual extinction was an own goal of sorts.
Disgusted, but not surprisedEh, the fox and bird people went extinct pretty well.
Secret Signature
I mean, the Ayleids are gone as a culture - whatever Ayleids survived the Alessian Order's purge fled to High Rock or Valenwood and over time assimilated into the local Mer populace.
And we still don't actually know what happened to the Dwemer, especially since there was at least one character claiming he had talked to them.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. And the last guy that tried to recreate what caused them to disappear, well.. (summons Arniel Gane's shade)
My latest Trope page: Shapeshifting FailureThough if one looks at the really weird lore Kirkbride came up with later (namely C0DA), the Dwemer "ascended" to become Numidium's skin.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI am so glad that crap is apocryphal, it's annoying to deal with and boring.
Avatar SourceIt's also one heck of a Downer Ending for Nirn if that is its future.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIt seems to mostly appeal to people who really, really hate high fantasy, is my overriding impression. <_>
Avatar SourcePart of that is due to Morrowind I think. Morrowind is the game that really seemed to push Elder Scrolls into the spotlight. It's also the weirdest in terms of lore and setting. Of all of the Elder Scrolls games, it's probably the least "High Fantasy" one.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI dunno, I like Morrowind, and for all its weirdness, Morrowind is firmly a fantasy story in tone and setting, if not your usual random European feel. It's the apocryphal "everything is robots and scifi and time travel!" stuff that I think appeals to people who just absolutely loathe fantasy trappings but like Star Wars.

Avatar SourceThe funny thing is that the Might and Magic series did that too but it still retained a lot of High Fantasy beats. Even though the first few games all revolved around stopping a malevolent android from sending planet spaceships into the sun.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI never could get into those. Not because of the setting, but because the only ones I ever played I absolutely sucked at and could never work out where I was meant to be going.
Avatar SourceOh yeah, I sucked at those games too. I much preferred the Heroes of Might and Magic spinoff games.
Disgusted, but not surprisedDaggerfall coughs
New theme music also a boxI never actually played Daggerfall or Arena.
And I'm fine with that.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI've played it once as it was released for free, its fun but not accessible
New theme music also a box
That's what happens when you hadn't written most of your stuff about someone until after the DLC was in production. :T
